Information Mary M. would like to know about your pet

For dogs, it’s helpful to know walking preferences, leash manners, triggers, recall reliability, and whether they enjoy other dogs or prefer solo activities. For cats, I like to know their comfort level with visitors, favorite hiding spots, play style, and litter box habits. I also ask about veterinary information, emergency contacts, allergies, dietary restrictions, behavioral quirks, and any health concerns. Knowing your expectations for exercise, enrichment, and communication helps ensure I provide the best possible care. The more information you share upfront, the better I can tailor my care to your pet and make their time with me feel safe, stress-free, and just like home.

A typical day

A typical visit is all about keeping your pet comfortable, happy, and relaxed in their normal routine. I start with the basics like potty breaks or litter care, fresh food and water, and then spend quality one-on-one time with your pet. For dogs, this usually includes a walk, outdoor time, or play depending on their energy level and preferences. I focus on calm, structured walks and making sure they feel safe and settled. For cats and other pets, I provide gentle playtime, enrichment, and lots of attention while keeping their space clean and comfortable. Every visit is tailored to your pet’s personality and needs—I always want them to feel at ease and cared for while you’re away in so you can relax knowing they’re in caring hands.

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Mary! I have been caring for animals my whole life, and what started as a lifelong love has become my full-time career. I grew up in Saint Clair, Michigan surrounded by dogs, cats, bunnies—and even goats and chickens—so being around animals has always felt completely natural to me. After high school, I attended Eastern Michigan University with the dream of becoming a veterinarian. While I loved animals deeply, I realized I couldn’t handle seeing them sick or in pain. After college, I moved to Charleston, South Carolina and began working in real estate, but I found myself missing time with animals so in 2016, I started pet sitting—and that’s really where everything clicked. Over time, I followed that passion fully and built my life around pet care. Moving to Colorado and settling in Littleton has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I truly love this community and feel so grateful for all of the amazing pets and people I’ve had the chance to know here. At home, I share my life with my husband, Paul, and our pets, Mr. Bean and Buggy. Animals are part of both my personal and professional life every single day, and that connection is what makes this work so meaningful to me. When I’m not working or spending time with them, you’ll usually find me hiking, running, at the gym, or doing something creative. Pet care is a natural part of my weekly routine. My days are built around walks, drop-in visits, daycare, boarding, and quality time with the dogs and cats I care for. Because this is my full-time focus, I’m able to stay flexible, reliable, and fully present with each pet. I’ve worked with pets of all ages and personalities—from energetic puppies to gentle senior dogs—as well as cats and small animals. I always aim to treat every pet like they’re part of my own family, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away💕
