About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats my entire life, and caring for animals has always been a large part of who I am. I currently have 4 dogs and 4 cats all of different breeds, sizes, and personalities therefore I am comfortable caring for pets with a variety of needs. I have experience giving medication, following feeding schedules, and making sure each pet gets the attention and care they deserve. I also enjoy spending time outside and going for walks. I’m currently a full time pre-nursing student and work PRN as a switchboard operator at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Because of my flexible schedule, I’m able to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including drop in visits, walks, overnight stays, and some last-minute bookings whenever possible. My school schedule is subject to change and being PRN shifts could pop up here and there but I am very flexible and willing to work around what ever possibly comes up. In the aspect of my school schedule I have classes mon/tue/thur/fri. Monday and Friday 11am-12:30pm, Tuesday 9:30am-2:20pm and Thursday 8am-2:20pm. Safety and comfort are a priority to me. Each animal has their own personalities and day to day activities. I would like to know what your pet likes, whether it be extra playing time, going for walks, or even extra attention to make sure they feel the most comfortable at home. I am also comfortable crating a dog if it is needed.

About: My family always had a dog growing up, so im very familiar with them. Then, after I moved out I got cats of my own, and learned how to take care of them too! Im at teacher, so im typically available nights and weekends. I'd be able to come over and provide whatever necessary services after school and on weekends I make sure I respect the pet's boundaries. I never pet a cat or dog first unless I know it's okay and they feel comfortable with it! I've watched dogs and cats at my apartment before, and we always make sure the pets feel safe

Whether in my home or a client’s, I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for by sticking to their normal routine. I provide fresh food and water, daily walks or playtime, and lots of love and attention. I also keep their spaces clean, whether that’s picking up after walks, tidying feeding areas, or maintaining litter boxes. My goal is always to treat every pet like family so they feel happy and cared for while their owners are away.

“We are so grateful we found Colleen! She took amazing care of our 4-month-old puppy, Sal, and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. On her very first sitting session with us, Sal ate a bee on a walk and vomited a couple of times. Colleen handled the whole situation with incredible calm and good judgment. She recognized something wasn't right, kept us updated the entire time, and got Sal to the emergency vet, through evaluation, and back home swiftly! It was an awkward and difficult situation for everyone, but knowing Sal was with someone who stayed level-headed and made all the right calls meant everything to us.
