“Joanna was amazing. My pups loved her and she went above and beyond to care for them. I felt rest assured they were in good hands while I was out of town. I highly recommend her and I will be having her come again in the future.”

“Coleen was caring, professional, and fast to respond. Our dogs absolutely adore her and were sad to see her leave. She easily managed 3 large dogs without issue. We had Coleen in-house sit them overnight for our big day and can't recommend her enough!”

“Nicholas is hands‑down the best dog sitter my wife and I have ever had on Rover. Truly exceptional. He isn’t just dependable and courteous — he treats our dog with a level of care, enthusiasm, and commitment that blew us away. Our dog has literally walked farther with Nicholas than with anyone else. His average walks were over two hours, and he kept our pup happy, stimulated, and joyfully exhausted every single time. We were amazed by his dedication. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and our dog absolutely adored him. I honestly can’t put into words how incredible Nicholas was. Thank you, Nicholas — you set the bar unbelievably high.”

About: Ive had a variety of pets in my life, including birds, fish and hamsters. I’ve never had a dog or cat of my own, but have always wanted one. I’ve dog-sat for friends and family consistently throughout my life, and have always had a special connection with dogs in particular. I hope to have a dog of my own one day. But until I can truly dedicate the time, space and finances to making sure they have the best life possible, I can find peace in playing with and taking care of any dog who might need my help. I work remotely full-time as a graphic designer, so as long as I have my laptop and Wi-Fi, traveling to a home is not a problem. It also will allow me to take many breaks to walk or play with your dog as much as they may need. I can only accommodate a smaller dog in my home, since I have other people in the house. When tending to a dog in a clients home, I can fit any preference they may have. Again, my only non-negotiable obligation is my full-time job, which is remote.

About: I have experience with many types of animals, including my own. I have volunteered at standard animal shelters and even horse rescues. I have been sitting for a few months now with some wonderful families. Check out my references for more details! Fun Fact: I have also owned cats, dogs, and even a guinea pig. Since I am an online nursing student, I have a completely flexible schedule. You tell me when you need me! I am available weekdays, weekends, and weeknights. I am great with medication management as well as making sure your pet has adequate play time outside their traditional routines. I am also good at following directions on how you want your pet's day to look.
“Jo is just a great person. Period. She always goes above and beyond in caring for and entertaining our dogs, whether it’s bringing over her best enrichment toys or finding our dog’s favorite Real Housewives franchise to watch together. For this house sitting, Jo watched our newer puppy for the first time. He can be vocally reactive on walks and has some unique methods for managing his behavior. For Jo, it was no sweat. And during this house stay, my husband and I happened to be in Puerto Vallarta during the recent cartel rampage. Not only did Jo make sure that our doggos would be cared for regardless of when we made it back to the States, but she also made a genuine effort to check in on our general well-being. Like I said, she’s just a great person.”

“Hanna was fantastic with Kiwi! She was communicative and shared photos when I asked. When I got back home, the house was just the way we left it. She was very easy to work with and very kind. I will absolutely be using Hanna’s services again.”

“Emma took such great care of our Bertie girl! We got updates, pictures and videos during our vacation, and our doggy was so well taken care of while we were away. Thank you Emma!”

“Mary was great! She kept everyone safe and cared for and prioritized walks for our greyhound who adores walks. The house was clean and how we had left it! It was such a relief to have her proactive communication throughout. Mary also managed to get our somewhat cranky older cat to consistently take her meds for the week we were gone. Would love to work with Mary again!”

My experience includes feeding, walking, playtime, and providing companionship while owners are away. I am dependable, patient and always committed to ensuring that every dog feels safe and happy. I have a lot of free time, so I’m ready to give it to your pets’ pleasures, games, and walks at their pace according to their age. I am from Ukraine, from the city of Kyiv, I have a quick reaction, I know many animal diseases, I know how a pet behaves, and if something bothers him, I can warn the pet owner about it in time. I have two dogs and a cat, I found them on the street and saved them from hunger and cold, my husband is now in Ukraine in the city of Kyiv with our pets in our apartment, men are not allowed out of the country. I am an official rescue and care volunteer, and I am also looking for good families for rescued and found animals in my country, I have a volunteer registration certificate, and I have many years of experience in my country. I know how to walk pets and I know how to protect your pet from the aggression of other animals, and how not to lose it while walking. I walked with my pets exactly as many times as they asked me to, I am attentive to my pets, I protect them from danger, and I control the entire area while walking with them. If I see that a large pet is coming towards us and I don’t know him, I take my pets away so that a conflict does not occur. I am attentive to all pets.
About: Hi I’m Patrick! I love dogs and have been around them most of my life, I have three of my own named Bubba, Sassy and Neo who I walk every day. I will be very patient and kind with your pup as if they were my own and make sure they’re having as much fun as I’ll be having! I love all animals including cats but sadly I have family that is allergic so that is a no go but I would definitely consider myself a dog person anyway , no dog is too big or too small for me I’ll love em all the same. Id be ecstatic to add ur dogs to my daily routine:) Questions are welcome of course! My schedule is relatively flexible besides taking care of my own dogs. I am somewhat limited in means of transportation since I ride my bike to get around but that won’t stop me from meeting new dogs! If you do chose me to walk your dog we can discuss what would be best for picking them up for the walk and dropping them back off at your home. If your dog is crate trained I have no problem making sure they go into their crate before I leave.
“Renee did AMAZING dog sitting while I was out of town. She sent me constant updates and pictures, and asked questions when she was hesitant about something, which was so reassuring. I can tell my dog LOVED her. Plus she left my place so clean which was very appreciated! Will definitely be booking many more times”

“Stephanie did an amazing job with my two elderly Boston Terriers. She always kept me updated every day and sent some great photos/videos. I highly recommend her for any sitter job. Thank you so much!”
“Andrew did a great job with updating us on how our pets were doing. Kratos seemed to enjoy his company. Overall very satisfied with his care and Andrew went above and beyond what we asked of him.”

About: Hi there! My name is Nicky (he/they) and I’ve been taking care of pets for my neighbors, friends, and family members for upwards of a decade and am commonly regarded as the go-to sitter in my community. I strive to treat every pet (and owner) with the utmost respect and kindness, and I’ll follow your instructions to a T! (The T stands for toe beans 🤓) Currently unemployed due to layoffs in my industry, so I’ll be able to give your fur bestie as much attention as possible! I can do overnights, multiple nights in a row, or just a drop-in/walk; whatever you need - I got you! :) I have a fenced yard in front of my apartment complex so your fur bestie can run free and tire themselves out before beddybye! I can crate your pup if you provide one or they can get some shut-eye on the couch or wherever they’re comfy!
“Veronica stayed at our house overnight to watch our dog Maggie for a week. She sent lots of updates and was very responsive. She offered to take out our trash on garbage day and left our house spotless. We will surely use her again!”

Norwood Park pet parents share their Rover experiences
Joanna was an immediate hit with Claire my now one-year old Havanese. She was also a hit with my extended family who I am visiting. She proved to be a wonderful companion and source of play and a calming presence in a house and neighborhood that was new to Claire. Always enjoyed the photo and story updates. My sister looks forward to having Joanna become part of their world when they get new dogs in the coming year having lost theirs this past year. She will be a constant for me when I return for my next stay in Chicago. Thank you Joanna!

Emma was absolutely wonderful with my fur baby boxer while I was away. She responded quickly, was always on time, and was very communicative throughout my trip, which gave me so much peace of mind. Bridget was happy, well cared for, and clearly loved spending time with her. I would definitely book with Emma again — highly recommend!

Emilee was awesome. She's super professional, and very warm and friendly and the cats were definitely pampered. She sent me several cute photos of the cats during her stay and when I got home they were so chill and the house was immaculate. I would highly recommend her.

Casey was amazing with my very attached Doberman. I really appreciated that she took the time to come for a meet and greet beforehand so she could get to know him and make sure he felt comfortable. She was very thorough and i could tell she really cared about providing the best care. She kept me updated with detailed messages and adorable pictures and videos that gave me peace of mind. She treated my home with respect. I appreciate her communication, reliability, and kindness and would trust her with my pup again.

Aleia was wonderful with our reactive dog and we are so grateful we found her. We’ve never been able to travel as a couple because we couldn’t leave our dog. She was so patient with doing meet and greets slowly for the months leading up to our trip. Will 100% be booking again soon for another trip.

We just got back from a week long vacation and I cannot tell you how relieved I was that Liz was with our pups. She was able to handle their vast personalities and medical needs effortlessly. We have a very skittish rescue who I was worried about the most. Much to my relief I came home to a very happy puppy...I think she not so secretly misses Liz. She sent us lots of photos and funny stories about the girls. It really helped put me at ease. Thank you again Liz, I feel so much better about the idea of vacations now that I know I have someone I can leave the girls with who will care for them like they are their own.

Stephanie is truly exceptional. This was our first time entrusting all four of our pets and our home to someone else, and she exceeded every expectation. From the very first interaction through the entire stay, she was consistently available, highly responsive, and incredibly thorough with her updates. What impressed us most was how quickly our pets felt at ease—something that speaks volumes about her care, attention, and natural connection with animals. She earned not only their trust, but ours as well. Stephanie delivers a level of professionalism and peace of mind that is simply outstanding. We cannot recommend her highly enough, and we will absolutely check her availability before planning any future trips.

I am sorry I waited a week before leaving this review; it took me a week to settle back into my life and to observe my dog, Clyde, after I had left him in the care of another sitter and Nicholas for four days each. My primary goal in booking through Rover was to ensure the care of Clyde. I am very pleased with Clyde's condition and energy in the week I have been home. As his care was split between two sitters, I would have to say that both gave him the attention and care that he needed. My other goal was the care of my house which, I believe, was also excellent. Highest marks to Marny and to my other sitter.
