“Jennifer is the best dog walker ever! She really does take in to account on what you say. And she has a great eye for things about your dog while shes on a walk with them. I absolutely love Jennifer and my dog does to!”
“Rocky was the perfect match for our butters! Since she’s our first dog walker she did an extra meet and greet with us which was greatly appreciated. She showed up on time every day and made butter’s day. As a dog owner herself, she was super comfortable with some loud barks at meet and greet and on walks. I can not say enough good things about her, we will be using her again!!”

“We were out of the country for beauty 2 weeks and Lillian did a great job with both of our girls and exceeded all of our expectations. We would definitely use her again.”

“Katherine is great with our dogs, shows up on time and spends the full 30 minutes requested with them to make sure they get all the jitters out of their system.”

“Sandra helped us out with our dog while we were here for 3 months for work. Motley loved his walks with her. She is reliable and always sends good pictures. Highly recommend using her for your pets!”

“I gotta start with saying Casey is a life saver!!!! I had a last minute change in schedule and Casey was able to ease my mind. She is super attentive, always kept me updated and took lots of photos. My puppy loved seeing her come through the door and he attacked her with kisses everytime. She popped in to walk him on time everyday and even came in after the walk to check water/food levels! ❤️ 1000% recommend!!!! Will definitely be rebooking in the future.”

About: I’ve had lots dogs growing up 5 at one time and worked on a farm with many animals and a pack of dogs I have a working dog myself currently that I love and take care of. I play college beach volleyball I usually train early in the morning but am available whenever I have a very flexible schedule to be needed whenever. I have a working dog and then a sweet pit mix I walk them daily and run my working dog on the regular 3 miles or more. I’ll play with them outside and give pets and cuddles. As well as I have my own cat Rio who I love and adore and make sure he gets attention as well
“Jocelyn did an amazing job with communication, availability, and just overall care for our baby Astro over the holidays too. Her prices are also extremely affordable. 10/10 will book again”

“If you are looking for an amazing dog walker, I cannot recommend Ashley enough! I was in a pinch recently and needed someone last minute, and she totally came in clutch. What really stands out about Ashley is how great she is with dogs. My frenchie warmed up to her right away, and it is clear she genuinely loves and knows how to handle animals. On top of that, her communication is top-notch. She kept me updated the entire time, which gave me complete peace of mind. Ashley is reliable, super sweet, and fantastic at what she does. I will definitely be using her again!”

“I have a reactive dog who is very sensitive. I'm always worried about finding a new sitter, but Bubba loves Christine! He always seems to be in a better mood when she visits.”

“If I had to describe John in one word, it would be “amazing.” We are new to Dallas and needed someone to walk our two dogs on very short notice, and John was kind enough to step in and help. Our dogs are not difficult, but they definitely have their own personalities. One is a 120 lb German Shepherd who loves chasing squirrels (and climb trees to meet their families), rabbits, and sometimes even butterflies, and he also thinks he needs to make friends with every dog he sees. Our other one is an 18 lb Shih Tzu who is a little pampered and does not like walking in the sun. What really stood out to us was how patient, caring, and thoughtful John was with both of them. During the first couple of days, when our Shih Tzu decided he was done walking after finishing his business, John actually picked him up and carried him while continuing the walk because our German Shepherd still wanted more time outside. For the last few days, he even walked them separately so each of them could get the individual attention they needed. That level of care says a lot about John. He was always on time, courteous, respectful, responsible, and genuinely loving toward our dogs. We are very thankful for his help and would definitely look forward to having him take care of our boys again in the future.”

“Melissa was fantastic! She is reliable, caring and energetic! She took fantastic care of our pets and went above and beyond to make sure they were being well taken care of! I will be booking her again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of all types of animals for many years. I took specific courses in high school on how to care for a wide range of animals. I also worked at a pet boarding center taking care of both dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own and would want someone who loves them like I do. I love all animals no matter the size, amount of hair, or amount of limbs! I’m currently working part time with a fluctuating schedule so in my free time I would love to help out those who need some extra attention for their furry friends, or not so furry. I have pet sit in my neighbors and friends houses all my life. Whatever is needed of me I can workout with owners to make them as comfortable as possible. Pets are incredibly important to all of us so making owners and pets comfortable is the top priority.

About: I was blessed to grow up with my Maltese, Cookie, for 14 wonderful years. My fiancé and I now share our 7 year old Australian Shepherd mix, Astro, and he’s truly part of the family. 🐾 I've always loved animals and grew up around all kinds of pets, including fish, bearded dragons, and turtles. I also spent a lot of my childhood outdoors and developed a love for animals and nature. I earned my bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University as a pre-vet student. Ive worked at a zoo as a zoo keeper and was briefly introduced to dog training. I'm now finishing my Master's in Counseling, with a long-term goal of incorporating therapy dogs and horses into my work. I'm excited to provide your pets with the same love, attention, and care I'd want for my own. Whether they need a walk, some playtime, or just a little company while you're away, I'd love to help! ❤️ Please feel free to reach out with any questions or just to chat! My schedule is flexible, and I’ll keep my availability up to date. I’m happy to work with you to find a time that fits your pet’s routine. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and care instructions as closely as possible. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while keeping them safe and comfortable. For house sitting, I’ll also treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own. 🐾
About: I’ve cared for a wide variety of pets for most of my life, including dogs, cats, and all sorts of other household pets. I bring a lot of knowledge and passion into caring for your babies! I’m currently a fully online student at UTA so my schedule is wide open! If there are any dates that don’t work out due to school (I.e. honor society events) my schedule will be promptly updated and anyone holding a reservation will be informed! *AS OF RIGHT NOW* I am not accepting bookings past the middle of May as I await my summer internship schedule and have my summer availability updated. If we have already spoken about a booking, no need to worry/this doesn’t apply. I love using Rover for my own babies, so I will bring what I’ve loved to your experience as well! I am athletic so if any dogs need extra exercise, I am up for it!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hurst
On time, reliable and trustworthy. These are the things I want from anyone who is dealing with me & my household. I live near Houston, but I was leaving my dog with my son in Ft Worth while I was out of town for a month. Since I’m retired, my dog is not used to being alone for 8-10 hours a day so having Karen walk her in the mornings was perfect. I looked forward to the daily updates and pictures. Seeing my dog happy and tired definitely made me know I hired the right person. I would highly recommend Karen as a dog walker. I just wish she lived near me!

Madeline was great. Unfortunately, this was our first experience with our dog and Rover- she was way more sliding than we expected. Regardless, Madeline kept in communication and made our sweet girl as comfortable as possible. Obviously I wish our dog wasn’t as nervous to new people, but I would trust her for any future bookings!

- 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
