About: I’ve been taking care of all types of animals for many years. I took specific courses in high school on how to care for a wide range of animals. I also worked at a pet boarding center taking care of both dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own and would want someone who loves them like I do. I love all animals no matter the size, amount of hair, or amount of limbs! I’m currently working part time with a fluctuating schedule so in my free time I would love to help out those who need some extra attention for their furry friends, or not so furry. I have pet sit in my neighbors and friends houses all my life. Whatever is needed of me I can workout with owners to make them as comfortable as possible. Pets are incredibly important to all of us so making owners and pets comfortable is the top priority.
“Sandra helped us out with our dog while we were here for 3 months for work. Motley loved his walks with her. She is reliable and always sends good pictures. Highly recommend using her for your pets!”

“Katherine is great with our dogs, shows up on time and spends the full 30 minutes requested with them to make sure they get all the jitters out of their system.”

“I have a reactive dog who is very sensitive. I'm always worried about finding a new sitter, but Bubba loves Christine! He always seems to be in a better mood when she visits.”

About: Hi! I'm Stacey, and my partner, TJ, and I share pet care responsibilities. We have two boys, and we share drop in responsibilities to balance time with them so that they sees us both equally. With a lifelong commitment to caring for both cats and dogs, I assure you that your pets are in experienced hands. Throughout my time with your furry companions, I will send multiple photos to keep your heart at ease, ensuring they receive ample playtime and love. While I have an affection for both cats and dogs, I consider myself a dedicated cat enthusiast, inspired by my own beloved pet, Jonesie. You might even catch me engaging in "meowversations" with your pets! 🐾❤️ Given that I have a husky and a cat, if you prefer, I can provide house-sitting services to keep your pets in their familiar environment. Although I don't offer overnight services, I make multiple visits throughout the day and evening, with our final check-in usually between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. Please share any quirks your pets may have, so I can be adequately prepared to support them. Additionally, inform me of their feeding/potty schedule and any current prescriptions to ensure continuity. Currently, I work in an office three days a week and from home two days a week, residing conveniently close to work. During my work-from-home days or in the morning/evenings, I am available for all the walking and cuddles your pet desires. My partner, Tj, works from home, ensuring there is someone in the home unless we need to run errands. Expect to see numerous photos capturing moments of cuddling, playing, and enjoyment between your pets and me. In my home, your pet will have the company of my friendly husky and cat. We have a large fenced backyard, providing ample space for daily exercise and playtime. Indoors we have three gated areas for feeding times so everyone can be more relaxed and to ensure no one shares. Also, these can be utilized anytime older or smaller pups need their own or a more relaxed space. Most of the time everyone just roams and sleeps anywhere in the house they like. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to shower your pets with love and provide peace of mind. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. My requirements are: all dogs must be well socialized, house trained, spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, no aggressive dogs, no dogs in heat, and all dogs must be free of contagious diseases, fleas or ticks and parasites... no exceptions for the safety of other pets. Schedule: During my two days of working from home, I dedicate my time to the well-being of the pets. My off hours are divided between showering affection on these furry companions and engaging in exercise with them. Since I commenced my journey on Rover, I have consistently remained booked. This routine has seamlessly integrated into my daily life, and I derive immense joy from sharing love with new souls through caring for pets. 🐾 Safety, trust, and environment: I take special care to ensure a harmonious environment for both dogs and cats during mealtime by separating them, fostering a sense of safety and allowing them to focus on their individual needs. Whether I'm in a client's home or my own, I make every effort to adhere to the schedule you maintain. In my home, I have designated spaces such as a spare bedroom and a kitchen area with a baby gate, offering the animals the option for some private time if they need a break from socializing with other pets. I consider my home an extension of theirs, granting them access to furniture and all the snuggles they desire. While I do have a large kennel available, I only utilize it if both the pet and owner are comfortable with the arrangement, ensuring that the pet's well-being and comfort are top priorities. If your pet is accustomed to being in a kennel or has a preferred bed for sleeping, I kindly request that you bring those items along with a couple of comfort items during their stay. This ensures that your pet has familiar and comforting belongings, contributing to a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for them.
“Abril was amazing, for the millionth time. My baby was sick while I was out of town and she did an amazing job checking in on her and taking care of her. She constantly kept me updated. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for many years of all ages and sizes for friends and family. I’ve grown up with dogs and they are part of the family. I will treat your furry friend like my own giving you peace of mind. I’m currently a grad student, so I am pretty flexible with scheduling. Weekends are the most flexible. I will work with you to find a time that works best. I’m available for drop ins and walks and making sure that your furry friends are doing okay while you are away. I care for pets in clients' homes by following feeding schedules, providing fresh water, administering medications if needed, cleaning up, and ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their own home. I will help them get their exercise in by going on walks and getting all their energy out.
“If I had to describe John in one word, it would be “amazing.” We are new to Dallas and needed someone to walk our two dogs on very short notice, and John was kind enough to step in and help. Our dogs are not difficult, but they definitely have their own personalities. One is a 120 lb German Shepherd who loves chasing squirrels (and climb trees to meet their families), rabbits, and sometimes even butterflies, and he also thinks he needs to make friends with every dog he sees. Our other one is an 18 lb Shih Tzu who is a little pampered and does not like walking in the sun. What really stood out to us was how patient, caring, and thoughtful John was with both of them. During the first couple of days, when our Shih Tzu decided he was done walking after finishing his business, John actually picked him up and carried him while continuing the walk because our German Shepherd still wanted more time outside. For the last few days, he even walked them separately so each of them could get the individual attention they needed. That level of care says a lot about John. He was always on time, courteous, respectful, responsible, and genuinely loving toward our dogs. We are very thankful for his help and would definitely look forward to having him take care of our boys again in the future.”

I had absolutely nothing to worry about! Sharon, as well as her husband Micheal provided a level of comfort before services even began. Professionalism is very important, but more than that, I felt that love and care that I believe one needs to do the job. I will definitely request their services again without hesitation! Thx so much!!! Carla B.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
