“Amber was awesome! Our pups can sometimes get in a funk with each other and we were worried about leaving them for the first time. Amber asked thorough questions and kept a close eye on them! They had a great time!”

“Great care staying with our dogs. He kept us informed and even repaired a freeze handle I had neglected to fix before we left home. I will definitely use Mark in the future to take care of our pups.”

“We could not have been happier with Kayla! My wife and I took an international trip for more than a week and entrusted Kayla with both our home and our two large dogs, Ragnar and Rollo. From the moment we met her, we felt completely comfortable leaving everything in her care. Kayla was friendly, professional, communicative, and incredibly attentive to detail. She clearly loves dogs, and it showed in every interaction. We especially appreciated the photos and updates she sent, including some wonderful pictures of her playing with Ragnar and Rollo, making sure they got plenty of exercise, attention, and, of course, belly rubs. When you’re traveling overseas, peace of mind is priceless, and Kayla gave us exactly that. We never worried about the dogs or the house because we knew they were in capable hands. We returned home to two happy, well-cared-for dogs and a house that was just as we left it. We would absolutely book Kayla again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter. Ragnar and Rollo clearly loved their time with her, and so did we.”

About: Ever since i was a little girl, i've had a special compassion for all animals. Caring for them for friends, family, neighbors and coworkers. From playful puppies and kittens bursting with energy to wise old seniors, i've loved them all! Whether it's sticking to medication routine or helping a young one learn the ropes, i'm all in. No matter their age or needs, im genuinely happy to brighten their day and make them feel loved! Hi! I am currently working a part time job, which allows me to have more flexibility throughout the week! I'd love to spend my time taking care of some precious furry friends. I am available throughout the week at any time, for house sitting, overnight sitting or walks through out the day! I live in a small suburban neighborhood, with a fenced in backyard, and a sweet cat who keeps to herself. Im open to crate training dogs for overnight stays.
“Mary was fantastic with Ricky and Riley. She really made them feel at home in my absence. Whether it was playing with them in the backyard or comforting them in a thunderstorm, she was professional and diligent. I strongly recommend her services, and I know I will be calling her again.”

“Erin was so wonderful with our pets while we traveled abroad. Our senior dog and senior cat are both special needs and Erin cared so well for them! Also it was the first time leaving our small dog (he usually travels with us) and we were unsure how he’d do. Erin kept us updated with texts and pictures and we were able to truly relax. We will definitely use Erin again in the future.”

“Serenity took wonderful care of our animals just as requested. She came a day before to meet them, was on time, and our dog took to her immediately. Would definitely rebook with her in the future is needed!”

“Brooke is amazing! She is so sweet, and took amazing care of our home and our pets. Our dog, Peaches, adores her and it was obvious that she loved Peaches and spent a great deal of time with her while we were gone. She left the house clean and kept us updated throughout our weekend away. We have a trip planned next year, and we've already asked her to see if her schedule is open to sit for us again. If you're looking for someone to trust to stay with your pets while you're away, Brooke is awesome. I'm grateful to have found her.”

“Ebony was fantastic with our three dogs! She sent plenty of updates, photos, and videos without me having to ask. She also took great care of the house and made sure all of my outside plants had plenty of water. The dogs were also on their regular schedules when we got home. I highly recommend her and hope that she will stay with our pups again!”

“Tori is such a thorough and thoughtful sitter. She recently completed her 3rd stay with my pets at my home(including overnights) & has been more meticulous every stay. My pets were happy and healthy upon my return and I look forward to using her services again. Thanks, Tori!”

About: 26 yr Bridgemill Resident: To me our pets are a cherished part our family. I will always love being a dog and cat dad. I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was a young kid. I am a 26 year Bridgemill resident, retired, that has pet sitter for many of my neighbors and friends. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats ourselves now and each has their own personality and needs and wants. You will find I am a very experienced in dog and cat care as well as other types of pets. To help the dog or cat mom, I always take pictures of your furry family member and send them to you while you are away. I can provide references if needed. I am currently retired and stay active with our pets daily with walks, camping trips and, playtime. Our dogs love camping. Miss Kitty and Kai are our cats and they will aways want the same or more time spent with them as with the dogs. The cats make sure we know this. Also still pet sitting for our neighbors and friends. My dogs have a fenced in yard, get their nightly walk to their favorite sniff spots. Our pets all get along and sometimes play with each other. I will always make sure to take multiple pictures of your pets and send them to you to keep up with their unique activities and to help you stay connected with them. I know you miss them as much as they miss you when you are gone, even if its only a trip to the grocery store.

“McKinnon was great. She made sure to take great care of our dog that has some medical needs. Would 100% recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone to care for their pet.”

“Liz was awesome! Our fur babies loved her! She sent several pics even though she stayed 1 night. When we got home, everything was nice and neat. We highly recommend Liz and would definitely use her again!”

“Susane is an absolute jewel. I got daily pictures. Meggy was consistently spoiled: given massages and walks daily, cuddled and snuggled throughout the day and night. When we got back, Meggy is almost disappointed because she’s not getting showered with constant love all day, every single minute. Very highly recommended Susane if you want someone that is going to love your pet as their own pet.”

“Our experience with Jenna was exceptional. She took excellent care of our fur babies and put a worried fur mama's mind at ease during our vacation by sending lots of pictures!! Communication with Jenna was effortless. We will definitely consider using Jenna again!!”

“Can’t say enough wonderful things about Kaitlyn! She is super polite, showed up on time, and took great care of our pup. She also went above & beyond, sending us regular updates about our pup while we were away. We already have her booked for our next trip. We highly recommend Kaitlyn to anyone looking for an attentive and caring sitter!”

“We had Mackenzie watch Jasmine and Rudy for a day, as a trial for a longer stay later on. We are super happy with both Mackenzie's care for the doggos and also her responsiveness and communication with us. She followed our instructions thoroughly, kept us updated, and responded promptly when we reached out. Thank Mackenzie!”

Brighton was such a delight to have as a sitter. She was very respectful of our dogs Milo and Maggie. She showed up early for a house tour and ask all the important questions. Milo and Maggie were very excited to make a new friend. She accompanied their anxiousness as we were away and gave great updates. We can’t wait to have Brighton back to sit our puppies again.

Mary was fantastic with Ricky and Riley. She really made them feel at home in my absence. Whether it was playing with them in the backyard or comforting them in a thunderstorm, she was professional and diligent. I strongly recommend her services, and I know I will be calling her again.

Alexis did an awesome job with our pets (two dogs and a cat)! She sent pictures and/or videos daily. My cat indoor/outdoor wouldn’t come home one night and she stayed outside until my cat was found! That was a huge relief to me while I was gone on vacation. My house was clean when I got home, including washing the used bedding and towels. I will use Alexis again in the future.

Ciera was the kindest soul, very professional, communicative, extremely orderly and punctual and just by how our pups were when we returned home we can tell they were loved and treated well in our absence! Ciera is wonderful for drop-ins or for house sitting! We would trust her with either! We are grateful we found her and would love to hire her again without hesitation! Thank you a million times Ciera!❤️

Keri did a wonderful job taking care of our cats while we were away. She was professional, reliable, and kept us updated with pictures and messages throughout our trip, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear our cats were well cared for and comfortable in her care. We would happily book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.

We had a fantastic experience with Deven! She was incredibly meticulous and caring, she making sure every detail of the routine was followed perfectly. What really stood out was her genuine nature, you can tell she has a soft heart and love for animals. She provided pictures and updates along the way, and it might be safe to say our dog looked disappointed when we got home! We would absolutely book her again, she is a true gem!

This was our first time leaving our dog at home with a sitter instead of boarding. It went great and Verna did a great job! Honey was happier and we could enjoy our vacation knowing she was being well taken care of. Verna communicated with us each day and let us know Honey was doing great and eating. We would definitely love to use Verna again in the future!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Holly Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Holly Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Holly Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Holly Springs. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
