“Nora is just the best. She sent us so many photos and gave us updates. She left our house cleaner than we left it. She also was super communicative of when our dogs were left alone which was minimal.”

“Mai and Jonathan are wonderful dog sitters - going above and beyond to care for our two dogs. They took excellent care of our home and communicated with pictures and videos throughout their sit. Since they both work from home, they were with the dogs far more often than other sitters, and we are so appreciative of their kindness and enthusiasm with our babies. Highly recommend!”

“We booked Markia again and had another great experience. We got plenty of updates with photos. Most importantly, our dog was happy and well cared for. Thanks Markia!!”

“Carole was an absolutely wonderful pet sitter! She stayed with our 1.5-year-old rescue puppy and our 11-year-old cat, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was friendly, reliable, and consistently sent plenty of updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Carole spent quality time caring for and playing with our puppy, making sure his energy and needs were met, while also being respectful of both pets’ unique personalities and boundaries—especially important for our older cat. It was clear she truly cares about animals and takes the time to understand them individually. We would highly recommend Carole to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter, and we”

“Serenity took wonderful care of our animals just as requested. She came a day before to meet them, was on time, and our dog took to her immediately. Would definitely rebook with her in the future is needed!”

“Alyssa did a great job watching our pup while we were out of town for a few days. She sent us pictures everyday. She checked up on our pup as agreed, we’ll definitely ask her to watch our Little Lailah in the future.”

“Varsha was fantastic and very communicative. She is responsive and took great care of my babies while I was away for the weekend. I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her again in the future.”

About: In addition to common dog owner knowledge I am also equipped with exceptional K-9 to human communication skills that will help me make nervous, unsettled, shy, or anxious pets adjust to their temporary lodging. I acquired these skills during 10 years of K-9 protection handling and training education and practice along with 15 years of bodywork with a concentration in myofascial release. I can take pets on short notice for as long as necessary. Your dog(s) will not interact with other dogs while in my care, unless previously discussed. The interior of my 2500 sf home has the space and configuration to allow up to 4 dogs to be separated into their own "living" spaces. Having two of may own, I will only take two dogs as a time. I will provide exceptional care and 24/7 attention. Why I love dog sitting My entire life, personal and professional, has been with dogs afoot. I enjoy discovering their individual personalities. Meet my pets I have two Pomeranians. About my yard Fenced, however I prefer to hand walk client's pets. I am a jogger so if your pet is used to jogging each day for exercise we can make that happen. My experience administering medication I am happy to administer any necessary medications and supplements. I have been doing so for as long as I can remember, IV, IM, topical, and oral. I build my schedule around clients needs. Mine eat at 8 AM and 6 pm and get outside for fresh air and a bio bark every 4-5 hours. In a client's home, I leave absolutely no trace I have ben there. Extreme attention to detail, respect for your environment, and I follow instructions with precision. In my home, I follow the schedule I am given and keep a low and slow approach, giving them space, time, and calm/quiet emotional support to adjust. In both environments you will receive videos, pics, and updates multiple times per day.
“Absolute best petsitter you could hire! One of our babies had a medical issue that flared up really bad while we were out of town, & Christina spent a whole evening/night with her at the doggy ER. The treatment was pretty extensive, & Christina detailed to me every step she was taking to treat our girl. She did so much more than she probably expected to do, & she did an amazing job. She made it so we didn't feel like we had to worry about whether our baby was getting the care she needed while we were away. We just returned last night, & our girl already seems like she's healing. We can't recommend Christina enough!”

“Finn knows your name now and looks for you when we say Tori is coming. He was so excited to see you when he saw you coming up the driveway and on the porch. He was so happy to see you and that makes us very pleased. Thanks again for being you and loving Finn when we are gone.”

About: I have always lived in a home that had at least one dog at any given time. While in college, I fostered 5 dogs of various sizes and ages, as well as 2 cats. I also helped care for my roommates' 2 dogs and 1 cat. I also had a ferret, rabbit, and lizard growing up. I’m in my comfort zone when surrounded by dogs of all kinds, but also love any kind of pet. I’m very patient and promise to love your pets and want you to feel comfortable leaving them in my care. At the moment, I have a very open schedule and can work around the pet owners’ schedule on any given day. Pet sitting is my top priority right now. I will care for other people’s pets the same way I’d care for mine. With love, attention, and safety. I can read dog behavior pretty well and will always do my best to ensure your pets feel safe and comfortable with me.
“Faith was amazing with our golden! She sent regular updates and pictures which we loved. Our puppy can be hyper at times but she was so calm and loving with our boy. Will definitely be calling her again. 11/10 recommend 😊”

About: I love all animals and I've always had pets my whole life. I had my own pet sitting business for several years and specialized in Special Needs animals as I had one myself. I have two small white fluffernutters myself , a Bichon Frisse and a Morkie and a sixteen-year-old cat and they are my heart. Have a large fenced-in yard for for playing and pottying but we go on walks every day so everybody can get some exercise. My animals live to be quite old so I do have some experience with aging pets and special dietary requirements. My neighborhood is in a very safe area with lots of mature trees and grassy areas for playing and walking , plus I have a front porch for gazing at the world in a safe space.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and I’ve taken care of all of them (I spoiled them way too often). I grew up with a German Shepherd mix, always played with her, even lied on the floor and cuddled with her when she got old. I adopted a cat in 5th grade (she’s turning 10 this year!) and my dad and I call her the queen of the house because of how much we spoil her and how big of a diva she is. My mom adopted a Yorkie and he’s a rascal that I’ve always enjoyed playing with, and feed him this special food my mom buys since he’s 12 now. My mom also adopted a full bred German Shepherd in 2021 and it’s always fun trying to keep up with her when we go outside. I adopted two kittens in 2025 and people say I need to save my money instead of buying them new everything… I won’t stop spoiling my fur babies. My brother also has a Mastiff Pitbull mix who is full of energy and is purely muscle, he’s actually knocked me down a few times when we rough housed (tug-of-war is a game I’ll never win). And a family friend always asks me first to take care of her dogs because she knows I take care of them (she said Stanley, her biggest dog, is obsessed with me because he never leaves my side). School is out, so I’m free all summer and I’ll have plenty of time to spend time and take care of your pets. When I take care of cats I always take care of their litter boxes in the morning after I feed them, and then spend the rest of the day playing with them or snuggling. And dogs, I have a large backyard and a friendly dog that loves to play with other dogs.
“Rachel was absolutely amazing with our two large pups. They’re super needy for attention and love and Rachel made them feel safe and secure while we were gone for almost a week. She fed them on time and maintained the same routine we have for them when we are home. Highly recommend and cannot wait to book her to watch our pups on our next trip! 10/10 exceptional service”

About: I’ve had almost any animal you can think of, trust if anyone should take care of them it should be me! I’ve had big dogs, small dogs, kittens, puppies, bunnies, birds, turtles, hamsters, gerbils, and shoot even ducks. I absolutely love animals and it would be an pleasure for me to help others who need their babies taken care of. I do multiple sides jobs so I’m basically on my own schedule so anytime you need help just ask and I’ll be there in a jiffy! I have a fenced yard and two dogs of my own who are both pretty small (Yorkie and shihpoo). Our stairs are usually too big for them but over their size it’s pretty easy to go up and down. But if need I have a good amount of space to crate any pets needed as well.
“00% recommended! We had never left our dogs with anyone other than one specific family friend, but once we did the meeting with Jacob we could tell this would work out. He was very patient and sweet with the dogs and you could tell he knew how to handle situation with dogs like ours. We left for 4 days, and he was always in contact and sending us pictures, and our dogs looked so happy and spoiled! He was also very respectful of our home, which we really appreciate. We will definitely use his services again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Acworth
Faith is our go-to house sitter when we have a long vacation and want our babies to be well loved and cared for. She sends pics and updates daily, and leaves the house in great shape. She is communicative and personable, and we know our pets are in safe hands with her!

Lo was an absolute lifesaver for us. She stepped in on short notice during a stressful situation and immediately helped bring calm and consistency for our dogs. She was flexible, dependable, and clearly cared about making sure they were comfortable and well looked after. We have a multi-dog household with different personalities and needs, and Lo handled them with patience, confidence, and genuine care. She kept us updated, was communicative, and made sure the dogs were cared for, exercised, and safe while we were away. It gave us real peace of mind knowing someone trustworthy was there with them. We truly appreciated her willingness to help, especially on short notice, and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, kind, and great with animals.

FAQs for House Sitting - Acworth
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Acworth on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,996 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Acworth. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Acworth walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Acworth maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Acworth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
