I like to leave things better than I found them — pets, their humans, and their homes deserve to be treated with care. If I am in your home as an overnight house sitter, I will take note of how you maintain your home to ensure I’m leaving it up to standard. I like to keep pet parents informed as much as possible as to how their pet is doing - as a fellow pet parent, I understand the importance of consistent communication and timely updates. I am happy to work with you and I welcome feedback.

I need to know if your pet: 1) has issues with urinary incontinence/will need me to be up multiple times a night to let them out for a potty break. Depending on the frequency I may need to charge for this specialty service, but rest assured that I am committed to making sure that your pet’s needs are taken care of. Let’s chat and come up with a schedule that works for you, your pet, and your wallet. 2) is unable to be left alone or needs constant supervision, as this specialty service may also be an additional charge. I will do whatever I can to help keep your pet safe. 3) has any medicines that they need to take at a specific time. I will need a specific schedule including the names of the medicines, the conditions they are for, the times the medicines need to be taken, and where they are located. This is to make sure I’m able to maintain your pet’s care the best way I can, and so that if there is an emergency, I have information about their medical needs. 4) has behavior concerns that I’ll need to look out for. I am happy to maintain any systems you have for this that are working right now.
A typical day
Exercise appropriate to their activity level is a good way to start with most dogs. I like to give them enjoyable and reliable associations with me, so I like playing games with more energetic dogs and cats (my favorite with one of my current puppy clients is tug of war). I love pet cuddles and am happy to spend time with your pet in your absence. I am good at reading pet body language and I have experience with anxious dogs and cats, so I’m comfortable with adjusting to their comfort levels and helping them ease in as we continue to interact.

Vasha was wonderful! She really cares about cats and honestly I was so thankful to have such a caring person taking care of my babies while I was away!!
Varsha was an amazing house and pet sitter. We were out of town for eight days. Our two fur babies loved her from our first meet and greet. Varsha was willing to also come a second time right before our leaving to bond more with our Westley and Buttercup and to go over their schedules again. She is very sweet and her love for animals is obvious. In addition to their special diets, she saw to it they both got their meds twice a day and had daily outside times. She was even willing to let them sleep with her as that's their routine with us. We got multiple updates and pictures daily which helped with MY separation anxiety. The pups were never left alone for long stretches of time. They greeted us with enthusiasm when we got home, but they ran back and forth between Varsh and us...a sure sign they count her as family. Our house was very clean upon our return. I highly recommend Varsha for caring for beloved pets and will call upon her in the future without hesitation.
