“Suzie has been so awesome looking after our 3 girls. This is a big task these days as my 2 cats and my husband’s 1 cat are still integrating! Many thanks to Suzie for giving us peace of mind while away!!🤍”

“Jennie was the perfect choice to look after my cat, Bigfoot. She sent pictures daily and noted the behavior of my cat each day that she was with him. I could comfortably enjoy my vacation with ease knowing that Bigfoot was in good hands 😊!”

“Anna has been fantastic! She always sends us detailed descriptions and several pictures of her drop-ins with our Labradoodle, Cooper. She is definitely an animal lover, and Cooper feels the same way about her. Highly recommended!”

“Our pups are super shy, and Claudia was so patient and creative in helping them feel comfortable while we were away! Great communication and so kind to our babies - we will definitely be booking again :)”

“Mindy is very prompt, meticulous in her tasks and thorough. She was terrific with our two cats and seemed to warm up to her quickly. Definitely will use her in the future!”

“Ashlee was wonderful with Petey. She was willing to meet him prior to taking care of him and sent me the best pictures of him happy and healthy. I will definitely be using her again in the future!”
“Simply put…Sara is amazing. She is kind, detailed, reliable, trustworthy and an excellent communicator! She spent a considerable amount of time caring for our puppy. I would recommend 100 out of 100 times! She’s the first person we will reach out to when we next go out of town. If you want someone who goes above and beyond, then Sara should be your first choice!!!!”

I have no problem being up early or late. I have lots of space in my place with multiple cat towers, toys and running space. I have a lot of hiding spaces and an extra room if needed
About: Hello Pet Owners, I work from home most days and have plenty of time for drop ins, walks and overnight stays. I will do my best to make time away from your pets as stress free as possible. I have experience administering medications if needed. I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs. I am available weekdays and weekends. Being away from your pet is stressful and I’m here to make it easier knowing your pet is in good hands. I will keep your pets as close as possible based on their needs. Communication is key and will provide updates and photos at least twice a day
“Markia did a wonderful job with my cat Norman, especially for it being her first time with him. She was very communicative throughout the entire process and followed all of my instructions carefully, including taking extra care with his food, Norman has no teeth, so his dry food needs to be softened with hot water, and she prepared it perfectly, even better than I usually do. I really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like putting out catnip for him, and I was pleasantly surprised that Norman came out for her, which says a lot given how shy he is. I would definitely book her again!”

“My initial dog sitter fell though and I frantically searched for someone last minute. Alyssa was quick to respond, extremely communicative, punctual and sent pictures of my pups. This was my first time using this app and I am beyond greatful for how much love & care she showed my pups while I was out of town. 1000000% recommend her to care for your fur babies. ❤️❤️”

“Great communication and tried very hard to get our stubborn puppy to go outside even offering her some dog treats. She is clearly experienced. We will use her again.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and I’ve taken care of all of them (I spoiled them way too often). I grew up with a German Shepherd mix, always played with her, even lied on the floor and cuddled with her when she got old. I adopted a cat in 5th grade (she’s turning 10 this year!) and my dad and I call her the queen of the house because of how much we spoil her and how big of a diva she is. My mom adopted a Yorkie and he’s a rascal that I’ve always enjoyed playing with, and feed him this special food my mom buys since he’s 12 now. My mom also adopted a full bred German Shepherd in 2021 and it’s always fun trying to keep up with her when we go outside. I adopted two kittens in 2025 and people say I need to save my money instead of buying them new everything… I won’t stop spoiling my fur babies. My brother also has a Mastiff Pitbull mix who is full of energy and is purely muscle, he’s actually knocked me down a few times when we rough housed (tug-of-war is a game I’ll never win). And a family friend always asks me first to take care of her dogs because she knows I take care of them (she said Stanley, her biggest dog, is obsessed with me because he never leaves my side). School is out, so I’m free all summer and I’ll have plenty of time to spend time and take care of your pets. When I take care of cats I always take care of their litter boxes in the morning after I feed them, and then spend the rest of the day playing with them or snuggling. And dogs, I have a large backyard and a friendly dog that loves to play with other dogs.

“Susan was fantastic to work with, both in her care for our cat and in her care for our home, daily communication with us and photos. She quickly recognized kitty’s needs, spent time with him, engaged him, and gave us such relief that he was in good hands while we were gone. We would count it a privilege to work with Susan again!”

“Even made an extra stop by the house for us ahead of time to grab a card for the gate after completing a meet and greet. We felt fully comfortable and like all 4 of our girls were well taken care of”

About: I have always lived in a home that had at least one dog at any given time. While in college, I fostered 5 dogs of various sizes and ages, as well as 2 cats. I also helped care for my roommates' 2 dogs and 1 cat. I also had a ferret, rabbit, and lizard growing up. I’m in my comfort zone when surrounded by dogs of all kinds, but also love any kind of pet. I’m very patient and promise to love your pets and want you to feel comfortable leaving them in my care. At the moment, I have a very open schedule and can work around the pet owners’ schedule on any given day. Pet sitting is my top priority right now. I will care for other people’s pets the same way I’d care for mine. With love, attention, and safety. I can read dog behavior pretty well and will always do my best to ensure your pets feel safe and comfortable with me.
“We had a great experience! She took really good care of Hanzo while we were away and always kept us updated with messages and pictures. Hanzo looked happy and comfortable the whole time. She was reliable, caring, and easy to communicate with. We really appreciated all the help and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to take care of their pets 😊”

About: I grew up on a farm. My mom rescued animals, so caring for animals is a right of passage in my family. It's not a "side hustle" for me. It's my passion, my dream, my purpose. I have a degree in Psychology, own two businesses and I'm a mom of two amazing kids. I have five shih tzus at the moment along with a variety of exotic animals. I have tons of experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, Guinea Pigs, turtles (both aquatic and land), and fish. When I encounter a new species, I go over and beyond to learn everything about them and spare no expense to make sure they thrive and happy. I have experience with puppies, seniors, special needs, post-up recovery, medications, bathing, daily brushing, grooming, nail trims, etc. Your babies are my babies and they will be looking forward to play time with me, giving you a peace of mind while you have to be away. 🥰 I own my own house cleaning business, so my schedule is quite flexible. I'm working mostly in a 15 minute radius, and I have cameras in every room, so I can check in on my babies and drop by if they need me. I have a large fenced yard and several separate play areas in case I have babies that need some alone time. Inside I also have gates and play areas to ensure your pets' safety and provide quiet areas if they seem over stimulated or anxious.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Acworth
Anna has watched my cats a couple of times when I’ve been out of town. She is extremely professional and I feel 100% at ease that she is checking in on my senior cats. At every check in she loads me up with pictures of my boys and lets me know how they are doing. I will always see if Anna is available to check in on them when I’m out of town. I trust her in my home and with my cats. She is awesome and I’m thankful I found her! Thank you Anna!

Paola was so patient and understanding when my cat was making medication administration difficult. She always persisted and did her best to make sure meds were successfully administered, even when she had to stay a little over the time I booked her for. Cannot recommend her enough!

Madeline was absolutely phenomenal in taking care of Coco while I was away. This was my first time leaving her alone for a very long time so I was nervous but Madeline made me feel so much at ease very early on. Communication was great! She kept me updated about everything and made sure Coco had everything she needed. I really appreciate her genuine effort to care for my bb and I will surely be hiring her again! Highly recommend her services to all.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Acworth. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
