“Serenity took wonderful care of our animals just as requested. She came a day before to meet them, was on time, and our dog took to her immediately. Would definitely rebook with her in the future is needed!”

“Nora was fantastic with our Great Dane puppy, Apollo! She was very responsive, kept us up to date every day, and had no issues administering Apollo's pills 2x/day. She also left the house just as we left it and washed the sheets before she left. This was mine and my husband's first weekend away in a long time where we didn't feel stressed leaving our dog with a sitter. We would definitely recommend Nora to anyone looking for a stress free getaway and plan to use her services again!”

“Tori was an excellent house guest & supervisor of our dog, Beckham! She provided great care to Beckham & left our home near & tidy - tidier than how we left it. We’d welcome her back anytime!”

“Faith stayed with our animals for a whole week while we were away. While they don’t have a lot of special care needs, they are pretty anxious babies. Having Faith in our home and sending us regular updates made us feel better and we knew they were in good hands. She communicated regularly and asked questions when needed. We came home to happy healthy animals and a clean house! I’d recommend Faith to anyone for pet care :)”

“Kaylan was fantastic house sitting and watching over my 2 dogs and 2 cats. She took great care of my energetic dogs and followed all my pet instructions. I appreciated the daily updates and photos. And my house was tidy on my return. Definitely will be using Kaylan again!”

“We couldn't be happier with the care Mai and Jonathan provided for our pets, Cooper and Bec, while we were away on vacation. From the moment we left, they gave us complete peace of mind with regular updates, photos, and thoughtful communication. It's clear that they genuinely love animals and treated both Cooper and Bec like part of their own family. When we returned home, Cooper was happy and well cared for, and Bec was relaxed and content. Knowing that both our dog and cat were receiving such attentive, loving care allowed us to truly enjoy our time away. Mai and Jonathan went above and beyond to make sure all of their needs were met, and we are so grateful for the kindness and responsibility they showed. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitters. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of Cooper and Bec, we would gladly have you watch them again!”

About: I have always lived in a home that had at least one dog at any given time. While in college, I fostered 5 dogs of various sizes and ages, as well as 2 cats. I also helped care for my roommates' 2 dogs and 1 cat. I also had a ferret, rabbit, and lizard growing up. I’m in my comfort zone when surrounded by dogs of all kinds, but also love any kind of pet. I’m very patient and promise to love your pets and want you to feel comfortable leaving them in my care. At the moment, I have a very open schedule and can work around the pet owners’ schedule on any given day. Pet sitting is my top priority right now. I will care for other people’s pets the same way I’d care for mine. With love, attention, and safety. I can read dog behavior pretty well and will always do my best to ensure your pets feel safe and comfortable with me.
“There is no better anxiety relief when you travel than knowing that your animals are safe. Medeline was wonderful with my dog, Bo and my cat, King. King did not pitch a fit when I got home from me leaving. Bo has a bit of separation anxiety and even he was easy to have calm back down when I got home. I felt safe having Madeline in my home with my animals and at ease knowing she was there for them. Will book again. Very happy.”

About: In addition to common dog owner knowledge I am also equipped with exceptional K-9 to human communication skills that will help me make nervous, unsettled, shy, or anxious pets adjust to their temporary lodging. I acquired these skills during 10 years of K-9 protection handling and training education and practice along with 15 years of bodywork with a concentration in myofascial release. I can take pets on short notice for as long as necessary. Your dog(s) will not interact with other dogs while in my care, unless previously discussed. The interior of my 2500 sf home has the space and configuration to allow up to 4 dogs to be separated into their own "living" spaces. Having two of may own, I will only take two dogs as a time. I will provide exceptional care and 24/7 attention. Why I love dog sitting My entire life, personal and professional, has been with dogs afoot. I enjoy discovering their individual personalities. Meet my pets I have two Pomeranians. About my yard Fenced, however I prefer to hand walk client's pets. I am a jogger so if your pet is used to jogging each day for exercise we can make that happen. My experience administering medication I am happy to administer any necessary medications and supplements. I have been doing so for as long as I can remember, IV, IM, topical, and oral. I build my schedule around clients needs. Mine eat at 8 AM and 6 pm and get outside for fresh air and a bio bark every 4-5 hours. In a client's home, I leave absolutely no trace I have ben there. Extreme attention to detail, respect for your environment, and I follow instructions with precision. In my home, I follow the schedule I am given and keep a low and slow approach, giving them space, time, and calm/quiet emotional support to adjust. In both environments you will receive videos, pics, and updates multiple times per day.
“Lindsey did a great job taking care of our 3 dogs while we were out of town for the weekend. They can be high maintenance at feeding times, but seemed to have done well.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and I’ve taken care of all of them (I spoiled them way too often). I grew up with a German Shepherd mix, always played with her, even lied on the floor and cuddled with her when she got old. I adopted a cat in 5th grade (she’s turning 10 this year!) and my dad and I call her the queen of the house because of how much we spoil her and how big of a diva she is. My mom adopted a Yorkie and he’s a rascal that I’ve always enjoyed playing with, and feed him this special food my mom buys since he’s 12 now. My mom also adopted a full bred German Shepherd in 2021 and it’s always fun trying to keep up with her when we go outside. I adopted two kittens in 2025 and people say I need to save my money instead of buying them new everything… I won’t stop spoiling my fur babies. My brother also has a Mastiff Pitbull mix who is full of energy and is purely muscle, he’s actually knocked me down a few times when we rough housed (tug-of-war is a game I’ll never win). And a family friend always asks me first to take care of her dogs because she knows I take care of them (she said Stanley, her biggest dog, is obsessed with me because he never leaves my side). School is out, so I’m free all summer and I’ll have plenty of time to spend time and take care of your pets. When I take care of cats I always take care of their litter boxes in the morning after I feed them, and then spend the rest of the day playing with them or snuggling. And dogs, I have a large backyard and a friendly dog that loves to play with other dogs.
“What a wonderful experience working with Jacob, he took great care of our 3 dogs. He played with them in the yard, kept in touch, sent pictures and maintained communication s we could enjoy our trip.”

“She was wonderful! She was very attentive to our sweet Lola. Lola can be a handful sometimes because she’s very needy and Velcro like. She wants to be around you all the time and I know that can get bothersome and she took it like a champ. We came home and the place looked great and Lola was happy. We will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“Mark took great care of our dogs while we were away. He has extensive experience working with dogs, which made us feel confident that they were in good hands. Everything went smoothly and the dogs seemed happy and well-cared for when we returned. We appreciate his professionalism and would consider booking with him again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Yacht Club Estates on Rover is $48.84 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Yacht Club Estates walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Yacht Club Estates maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Yacht Club Estates choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yacht Club Estates. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
