“Madison was great and went above and beyond during her visits. Our Cat Mocha is doing great and things are in order, we did not have any issues or questions . We will definitely keep her in mind for the upcoming trips/plan, as well as refer her to others. We really appreciate Madison's help. The whole process was very smooth. Thanks Rover and Madison!”

About: I've had doggies since I was 8, and I've helped take care of other people's pups since I was 12. I've had lots of experience with the elderly and disabled pups as well. I have had training experience, but am not quite experienced enough to call myself a trainer. If there is training you would like to continue working on with your pups, I will do my absolute best to help in any way I can. Ps. I have a beautiful 10-year-old husky and pointer mix named Skye, she is who you see in the photo! I am a college student with a part-time remote job, so my schedule is very open. I would love a job that would help me get outside more often and spend some time with animals! I am a huge animal lover; Fur babies truly make the world go around! While right now I can't take your fur babies into my home. I have a lot of experience in pet sitting for fur babies in other people's homes, and I will respect any boundaries you set. I completely understand that having a safe person with your animals and in your home is the top priority, and I will do everything I can to make you and your animals feel safe, whether just for walks or longer-term sitting stays.
“Maria does such a great job with my cats. She is very commutative with me which I am very thankful for. She does a great job giving my cats attention and playing with them when I am gone. I know they are in great hands when I am gone. I am so thankful to have found her. Thanks, Maria!”

“Charis was absolutely incredible!! She made us feel so comfortable with leaving our kitties for the first time. She was so quick to reply and sent so many pictures of the cats during her drop in visits and i could tell they felt safe and comfortable around her! She took very great care of our pets and I will absolutely book her again!”

“Kathy is the absolute best. Mac, my cat, absolutely loved her time with Kathy. She provided great pictures and made sure Mac stayed happy and healthy while I was away. Kathy is definitely someone I can trust to love my baby like her own and I cannot recommend her enough.”

“Ailen was amazing with my sweet Izzy, who absolutely loved her. It was love at first sight, for sure! Ailen sent me pictures & videos, the whole time I was away at an event & it was evident that Izzy was having so much fun & felt right at home with Ailen. Can’t wait for her to come back next month, when we need to go out of town overnight. I highly recommend Ailen for your sweet dog too! 😊”

“Catherine was always on time and following all of our wishes for taking care of our baby Indie. She was extremely communicative and responsive the entire time when we were gone. We got lucky when we found Catherine and will be using her for all of our future travel plans for watching our little girl. Thank you Catherine!”

“Lauren took amazing care of my two dogs. Took them on walks and played with them and gave them the doggy snuggles they needed while we were away. She also gave very detailed updates on each drop in which I appreciated so much. She sent pictures of them on walks, being silly on the couch, eating their food, and made sure to let me know at each stop by if they ate and went to the bathroom. It made it easier to enjoy our mini vacay knowing they were so well taken care of. Highly recommend Lauren and will definitely be using her in the future. Thank you Lauren 😊”

About: Hello! My name is Kenzie, and I’m a zookeeper with a lifelong passion for animals of all kinds! Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of species, with giraffes being my specialty. Working in animal care has taught me the importance of adaptability, patience, and individualized care. I have extensive experience with daily care and feeding, administering medications, following medical procedures, and safely relocating animals when needed. I love knowing all the little quirks that make your baby unique, what kind of scratches they like, which toys are their favorite etc. The more I know about their needs the more fun we can have together! Above all, I have a huge heart for animals and make their comfort, safety, and individual needs my top priority. I’m available for flexible drop-in visits as well as dog walking, and I would love the opportunity to care for your critters like they’re my own! I am very flexible with my schedule and do my best to accommodate the needs of both my clients and their critters! I’m happy to work around your schedule and find a routine that works best for you and your pet, while always making sure they receive the time, attention, and care they deserve. At home, I’m also a proud cat mom to two rescue cats, each with their own unique health needs that I manage alongside them. I’m especially passionate about choice-based and cooperative care, and I bring that same philosophy to every animal I work with. I’m very comfortable caring for nervous or shy animals and will always respect their boundaries and give them space when they need it. On the other hand, I’m a big animal lover, so if your critter is looking for some extra cuddles and affection, I’m always happy to oblige!
“Molly is the best! She took great care of my dog while I was away. She is my dog watcher the amount of care and attention to detail was absolutely on point. Highly recommend her.”

“Amber is top notch! She is punctual, easy to talk to and cares about your fur babies! I could tell the moment we met she was going to treat my pup like one of her own!”

“Nikki was absolutely amazing. I very rarely leave my pups and am incredibly anxious when I do. Nikki communicated with me and sent pictures and took care of my babies in an extraordinary manner. I am so very grateful for her”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for 20 years, starting with dogs and cats growing up, and later managing a household of up to 5 dogs and 2-3 cats at a time as an adult. In college I even helped bottle-raise baby animals alongside a close friend who’s now a veterinarian. I have hands-on experience with senior pet care, including managing diabetes with insulin injections for both a dog and a cat, and administering subcutaneous fluids to an elderly cat. I’m comfortable with pets who need extra medical attention or a gentler pace, as well as high-energy pups who need a good long walk. As a homeowner and mom of three, I understand how much trust it takes to hand over your keys and your pet. I treat every home and every animal like it’s my own. My schedule varies day to day, so before I confirm any booking, I check my calendar to make sure I can fully commit — once I say yes, you can count on me. I’m generally available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting throughout the week, and I’ll always give you a clear answer up front about what I can take on. When I care for pets in your home, I follow your instructions closely: feeding schedules, medication routines, favorite toys, and any house rules you have. I’m experienced with medication administration, including insulin injections and subcutaneous fluids for pets with medical needs, so I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions for seniors or pets with health conditions. I treat your home with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. As a homeowner with three kids myself, I understand the trust it takes to let someone into your space, and I take that seriously
“We were able to use Heather for housesittjng and dog sitting during our recent vacation. She was excellent! The house was clean and the dogs had a great time while we were away. We got lots of pictures every day too! I’m super pleased with her service and would absolutely use her again!”

“Gina is the best! This is the second time I’ve used your services for my dog and she’s just wonderful. She sent me pictures of the dog and everything. And my dog is a senior dog who is deaf and almost blind so she’s a special-needs dog, but Jean handles her beautifully. ❤️🐾🐶❤️”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to each pet as if they were my own. I’m especially patient with young pets who are still learning, and I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training like potty routines, leash manners, and gentle socialization. I also have a soft spot for senior pets and understand how important it is to move at their pace, keep them comfortable, and watch for any changes in their behavior or needs. Above all, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and loving environment so your pet feels secure while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine\. As a mom to older, high school\-aged kids, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time and attention to the pets in my care\. I truly enjoy filling my days with something meaningful, and caring for animals brings me so much joy\. Whether it’s checking in on them throughout the day, keeping their routines consistent, or simply spending quiet time helping them feel safe and comfortable, I make sure each pet feels loved and cared for as part of my weekly rhythm\. I approach every pet with a calm, gentle energy and a strong sense of responsibility. In both my home and my client’s home, I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and keeping pets in a familiar, low-stress environment. I carefully follow each pet’s routine—feeding schedules, medications, playtime, and any special instructions—so they feel secure and cared for. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and do my best to maintain everything just as they left it, while giving their pet plenty of attention, affection, and companionship. In my own home, I create a quiet, cozy setting where pets can relax and feel at ease. As a mom to older, high school-aged kids, I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for what you love most. I treat every pet as if they were my own, always making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Holly Springs
We are so grateful and feel very lucky to have found Ailen! She was wonderful with our cats. She so kindly responded on short notice when we had to be gone for a few days, and we arrived home to find them both happy and content! Throughout her time with them, she was sweet, conscientious, and sent daily detailed reports and photos: We were touched and surprised to see that even our shy cat, who usually becomes the Invisible Man when people come to our door, had not only soon emerged from hiding but was enjoying the pampering of being fed treats by hand. Our senior boy warmed up to Ailen right off the bat and loved her chin scratches and attention. Knowing how sweet and caring she was with them helped ease our worries about being away. We would give her more stars if we could. We recommend her without reservation! Thank you, Ailen!!
Kye took care of my 2 cats while I was on a 15 day vacation including cruise - internet iffy. I like her caring attitude and creativity. My cats were somewhat aloof and she handled it well and they seemed happy - one of them searched the house for her my first morning back. And the cat areas were very clean - my cats tend to throw litter out of the box from time to time and that was handled. I'd be happy to have her care for my pets in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
