“This was my first booking with Kye and Rover, 4 days with my 2 senior cats. Everything went smoothly and I appreciated the daily updates. The cats were shy, checked her out then hid, not unusal for them. They ate and used the litter box normally. Kye is easy to work with. I've already made my next booking with Kye, 15 days in June.”

“Ciera took excellent care of Falkor. She sent pictures to let us know how he was doing during the week we were out of town. We would definitely book with her again when we are away.”

About: I've had doggies since I was 8, and I've helped take care of other people's pups since I was 12. I've had lots of experience with the elderly and disabled pups as well. I have had training experience, but am not quite experienced enough to call myself a trainer. If there is training you would like to continue working on with your pups, I will do my absolute best to help in any way I can. Ps. I have a beautiful 10-year-old husky and pointer mix named Skye, she is who you see in the photo! I am a college student with a part-time remote job, so my schedule is very open. I would love a job that would help me get outside more often and spend some time with animals! I am a huge animal lover; Fur babies truly make the world go around! While right now I can't take your fur babies into my home. I have a lot of experience in pet sitting for fur babies in other people's homes, and I will respect any boundaries you set. I completely understand that having a safe person with your animals and in your home is the top priority, and I will do everything I can to make you and your animals feel safe, whether just for walks or longer-term sitting stays.
“Amber is wonderful! She met with us before taking our dog out and made sure everything would be taken care of with our sweet senior dog. She communicates great, is friendly, sent us pictures and videos of our girl and took care of the home. I highly recommend her!”

“Kathy is always my go-to when I travel. She takes great care of my kitty and always provides updates. I never have to worry as I know Ralphie is always in the best hands. Thanks again for being the best!”

About: Apart from my genuine love for animals and passion to rescue them from a young age I also worked in a kennel/Vet for three years! I also have my very own baby who is a reactive rescue so I’m more than comfortable to help with all levels of energy! I’m currently a nursing student so although my time is limited I plan to make the most of it with your fur baby! Please contact me for schedule questions! If you choose me to care for your pets I will do everything as you need/want! In the past I’ve done things such as followed clients list of steps for the day!
“We were able to use Heather for housesittjng and dog sitting during our recent vacation. She was excellent! The house was clean and the dogs had a great time while we were away. We got lots of pictures every day too! I’m super pleased with her service and would absolutely use her again!”

“I have never felt more comfortable leaving my dogs! She was an angel. I have big dogs that tend to bark quite a lot and she immediately was able to calm them down and bond with them. Sent numerous photos throughout the entire time we were away and gave plenty of updates. I would not go to anybody else!!”

“Taylor is incredible! She goes above and beyond every time to make sure my baby is well cared for and I am kept up to date with all of their adventures. You really couldn’t ask for a better sitter.”

“Cannot say enough positive things about Ailen!! She has helped us out with our boy Ziggy twice on short-notice, and has given him impeccable care each time. We will definitely reach out again!”

About: I have had animals my whole life. I am very comfortable providing help for special needs animals as well as administering medicine and making food accommodations. I am here to go above and beyond of your animal’s care and make a lasting relationship with every customer. I have two cats of my own that I take care of everyday. I also have four horses I drive out to take care of everyday as well. I love animals, and they are a big part of my routine and schedule. When I stay at other people’s homes I am making sure to go over every part of the pet’s checklist and daily routine to ensure it is a great experience for the pet as well as giving the owner a sound piece of mind. I am a very organized person who loves to stay on top of things and I bring these aspects into my dog sitting.
“Molly was wonderful caring for our sweet Theo and Sophia today . i would definitely call Molly back. It is such a joy when u know your fur babies are getting the extra love and care when u are not home and can't give it to them yourself. We came home to happy little pups.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Canton
Kye took care of my 2 cats while I was on a 15 day vacation including cruise - internet iffy. I like her caring attitude and creativity. My cats were somewhat aloof and she handled it well and they seemed happy - one of them searched the house for her my first morning back. And the cat areas were very clean - my cats tend to throw litter out of the box from time to time and that was handled. I'd be happy to have her care for my pets in the future.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Canton. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
