“Kathy is reliable and kind, and put my worries to rest so I could enjoy my vacation. She always notified me daily when her visit started and when it ended, and sent a photo of my cat Belle. I would recommend Kathy's services to anyone planning to go on vacation and needs a drop in visit for their dog or cat. Thank you Kathy, I will definitely use your service again!!!”

“Sarah is amazing! She goes above and beyond for our sweet Sonny. She is great with communication and makes great suggestions for helping him learn and grow as a puppy. She is reliable and you can tell she really loves what she does. Thank you, Sarah!❤️”

“Charis was punctual and sent me a note and several pictures. Prior to the visit, she made this overprotective pet mom feel better by engaging in a video chat. As I ended up in the ER with my husband on the same day, Charis did not hesitate to accept my request for her to come back that night but it ended up not being necessary.”

“I adopted Rachel, a 14-year-old mini dachshund, last October. She’s deaf and mostly blind and she needed special TLC while I attended my nephew’s wedding on Saturday. I met Gina in person when she came for the first visit. She was a lovely person and I immediately felt very comfortable with leaving Rachel in Gina‘s care! Gina came for two separate visits. She made friends with her as soon as she came in the door. Rachel is a very gentle dog and because she has the handicaps I did not want to leave her alone all day. Gina also provided me with two lovely pictures of Rachel outside and eating her food. Rachel was fine when I came home and I’m so glad that Gina was able to take care of her for me. I was able to enjoy my nephew‘s beautiful wedding knowing that Rachel had Company and Care. I will definitely use Gina again and I I would recommend Gina to anyone who needs someone to give their pet real TLC!”

“Molly was wonderful caring for our sweet Theo and Sophia today . i would definitely call Molly back. It is such a joy when u know your fur babies are getting the extra love and care when u are not home and can't give it to them yourself. We came home to happy little pups.”

“Cannot say enough positive things about Ailen!! She has helped us out with our boy Ziggy twice on short-notice, and has given him impeccable care each time. We will definitely reach out again!”

About: I have taken care of my own personal dogs throughout their lifespan from puppies to mature dogs. I am held at a high regard in my neighborhood as a dog sitter who is able to maintain a schedule, give sufficient playtime, and follow personal instructions accordingly. During the summer I am always available at home where I am able to give maximum attention to the pets. During college school season I am home on the weekends, Tuesdays, and Thursdays all day. Monday, Wednesday, Friday I will be gone from around 7 am to about 3 pm. I have a fenced in back yard of about half an acre that does have a pool. If your baby loves to swim they are more than welcome to. If water is an issue I can easily walk them on a leash. I have 2 golden doodles that are extremely friendly and crate trained. I have dog beds your fur baby can sleep on! My neighborhood is very small and safe so I can take them on plenty of walks.
“Taylor did a fantastic job with Luna and Asher. She asked lots of questions to make sure that they stayed with their routine. I received updates of her visits with memos and pictures. I will absolutely be using her again and you should too”

“Scarlett is an absolute angel! After a medical emergency the super last minute help was a lifesaver. My dogs loved her and she gave them so much affection. We definitely recommend and will definitely rebook. Thanks Scarlett!!!!!!!”

“Ciera took excellent care of Falkor. She sent pictures to let us know how he was doing during the week we were out of town. We would definitely book with her again when we are away.”

“Stephanie was the Purr-fect sitter for our shy 7-month-old kitty. She sent us wonderful photos of his play times which put our minds at ease while we were away. We could tell that our kitty was getting lots of attention and the best of care. Stephanie was always on time for visits. When we returned home, our kitty let us know that he had a new best friend in Stephanie.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
