“Katie was wonderful with our dogs and really gave us the peace of mind that they were safe and well taken care of. You can tell Katie really loves animals and our dogs ended up loving her!”

“Tamara did a great job with my 3 kitties. They seemed to connect with her right away. When I got home from my trip they were all healthy and happy. I definitely recommend Tamara and will ask her to take care of the cats in the future.”

“Emmanuel went above and beyond on checking in on Evie. She really got along well with him and he was able to come by on short notice. This was my first time using Rover and I'm so glad to have found him”

“Valerie has been the absolute best pet sitter and friend I’ve had for my baby Aston, and he’s had many. I wanted to have someone who had experience with Senior dogs and had the loving and compassionate personality for them - and that was Valerie to a TEE. The attention to detail to both Aston and the home, patience, constant communication and loads of love for Aston are so refreshing to have and put me at complete peace during my trip. And I’m usually a bit worried the whole time. Aston immediately warmed to her and had the calmest demeanor during and after their visits. That tells me everything I need to know. So happy to have her as our new primary pet sitter!”

“Amy is the best person I have ever had watch my dogs. I am very picky because my elderly German Shepherd requires a lot of attention to detail. She was on top of everything and took it all in stride doing exactly what was needed. Her calm demeanor and confidence is exactly what we need. She’s also very intelligent and was in lockstep with everything I said about dosing, potty timing, etc because it’s a fine balance with keeping my older Shepherd going. Anyone with a German Shepherd knows how discriminating and smart they are and they love Amy. So do we!”

“Our 4 kitties really liked Jessica! Instantly they were drawn to her, even our shyest cat. She’s professional and took great care of our babies while we were gone for the holiday.”
“I adopted Rachel, a 14-year-old mini dachshund, last October. She’s deaf and mostly blind and she needed special TLC while I attended my nephew’s wedding on Saturday. I met Gina in person when she came for the first visit. She was a lovely person and I immediately felt very comfortable with leaving Rachel in Gina‘s care! Gina came for two separate visits. She made friends with her as soon as she came in the door. Rachel is a very gentle dog and because she has the handicaps I did not want to leave her alone all day. Gina also provided me with two lovely pictures of Rachel outside and eating her food. Rachel was fine when I came home and I’m so glad that Gina was able to take care of her for me. I was able to enjoy my nephew‘s beautiful wedding knowing that Rachel had Company and Care. I will definitely use Gina again and I I would recommend Gina to anyone who needs someone to give their pet real TLC!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience with taking care of pets! I’m experienced in pet sitting, housesitting, and everything in-between! I’ve taken care of pets of all ages, from puppies and kittens to seniors. I’m currently working part-time so I am able to be with your pet almost all day, keeping them company while you’re gone! I would also be able to give frequent walks and potty breaks, if needed. If your pet enjoys walks, I would love to take them on an adventure, and if not, I love relaxing at home too! I have experience with crate-trained dogs as well, if needed. My number one priority is making sure your pet is safe and relaxed while you’re away.
About: Hi! My name is Hope, and I’ve been pet sitting for around 3 years. During that time, I’ve cared for both dogs and cats with a variety of personalities, ages, and needs. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away\. I offer pet sitting services that include feeding, providing fresh water, walks, playtime, companionship, cleaning up after pets, administering basic care, and following any routines or instructions you provide. I know every pet is unique, so I always take the time to get to know their personality and make sure they’re happy and comfortable! As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets in my care. Whether your pet needs lots of play and exercise or simply someone to keep them company, I’ll make sure they receive the attention they deserve. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and providing dependable, caring service you can count on! I am currently working at kohls so I am very available for anytime care with a certain amount of notice. I am very flexible with time. I will have a meeting whether virtual or in person and I can do walking, check ins, or over night. I am experienced with giving some meditation as well.

About: I have taken care of my own personal dogs throughout their lifespan from puppies to mature dogs. I am held at a high regard in my neighborhood as a dog sitter who is able to maintain a schedule, give sufficient playtime, and follow personal instructions accordingly. During the summer I am always available at home where I am able to give maximum attention to the pets. During college school season I am home on the weekends, Tuesdays, and Thursdays all day. Monday, Wednesday, Friday I will be gone from around 7 am to about 3 pm. I have a fenced in back yard of about half an acre that does have a pool. If your baby loves to swim they are more than welcome to. If water is an issue I can easily walk them on a leash. I have 2 golden doodles that are extremely friendly and crate trained. I have dog beds your fur baby can sleep on! My neighborhood is very small and safe so I can take them on plenty of walks.
“Molly is the best! She took great care of my dog while I was away. She is my dog watcher the amount of care and attention to detail was absolutely on point. Highly recommend her.”

“Michelle is great with our dog, she’s very attentive to him and his needs (he’s spoiled lol) but overall I couldn’t be happier with a dog sitter like her. Thank you thank you thank you Michelle! ❤️”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tomahawk. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
