“Great care staying with our dogs. He kept us informed and even repaired a freeze handle I had neglected to fix before we left home. I will definitely use Mark in the future to take care of our pups.”

“Nora was fantastic with our Great Dane puppy, Apollo! She was very responsive, kept us up to date every day, and had no issues administering Apollo's pills 2x/day. She also left the house just as we left it and washed the sheets before she left. This was mine and my husband's first weekend away in a long time where we didn't feel stressed leaving our dog with a sitter. We would definitely recommend Nora to anyone looking for a stress free getaway and plan to use her services again!”

“Brooke is amazing! She is so sweet, and took amazing care of our home and our pets. Our dog, Peaches, adores her and it was obvious that she loved Peaches and spent a great deal of time with her while we were gone. She left the house clean and kept us updated throughout our weekend away. We have a trip planned next year, and we've already asked her to see if her schedule is open to sit for us again. If you're looking for someone to trust to stay with your pets while you're away, Brooke is awesome. I'm grateful to have found her.”

“Abby did an amazing job! She is prompt with her responses and is an excellent communicator. She kept us updated with our dogs and our home and even helped troubleshoot our AC after a brief power outage. She was patient and understanding through it all! She took excellent care of our home and left it cleaner than we left it haha. I would highly recommend her and will be using her again!”

“Sabrina was a wonderful pet sitter .She has enough experience with animals and works well with my pets. She gave my dog medicine and did wound care ! Cleaned the house !! Great pet sitter .”

About: I’m a mom to 4 rambunctious children and 1 kid friendly chihuahua(14) and 1 loving husky pit mix(1). When most people meet my dog they are surprised at how friendly he is and how good he is with our young children. We used to have two dogs but we had to put older one down due to seizures and brain issues. In high school I worked in an army veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant for a cooperative work experience program. My original plan in life was to be a veterinarian but after having to assist with some tough cases I decided just being a good pet owner and caregiver was more my speed. I’m a full time stay at home mom and love playing with my dogs and kids in my spare time. I’d love to help you care for your fur baby as well. I’m pretty flexible. I’m home days once I get my kids get off to school during the day. In the evenings and on weekends I take them to their respective practices or games but that doesn’t mean I don’t have time to care for and give your fur baby some love as well. I like to take my fur babies for about a mile walk in the morning and then my younger pup will go on another half mile walk with me in the after noon. My older guys stays home and chills but he gets lots of love and snuggles at home.
“Amber is the best. She housesit for us and our 3 dogs who all have their own quirks. She was so kind and attentive, with regular updates and I could tell my dogs were so comfortable with her. She kept the house in order and was very communicative. I couldn’t ask for a better person to take care of our doggos while we were gone! Will be reaching out again when we need it!”

“Tristan was great. He arrived on time and was very polite. He took very good care of my baby and provided constant updates. I will definitely contact Tristan for any future needs.”

“My pets loved her! Great communication, goes above and beyond and truly cares about our pets and spending time With them. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t want to book with anyone else!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care of our dog and cat received while we were away. Serenidy went above and beyond, showering them with love and attention. Not only did they feel comfortable and loved, but our home was also in great hands!”

“My girls loved Donne. She stayed with them for 8 nights and did a fantastic job. She left the house spotless and even vacuumed! I would highly recommend Donne for any pet needs. Since we found her we are planning more excursions knowing we have a new loving and caring “family member “!!”

“Elizabeth was so thoughtful and considerate while watching over my Finley! She took her on walks, to coffeee shops, and sent lots of photos! Finley was in great hands.”

“McKinnon took great care of our pup. She kept in touch with us and sent us photos (which we love and so appreciate), and Frasier was obviously well cared for and happy while we were away. Thanks so much, McKinnon!!”

“Tori was absolutely wonderful with our boys, Milo and sully! Tori sent us frequent photo updates and it was clear the boys were comfortable right from the beginning! We came home to very happy, relaxed pups and it’s clear Tori truly loves animals!”

About: I love watching animals and I want to be friends with yours! I am a cat dad of three and value the bond built between a person and their animal, and aim to treat your furry family the way I would want my own to be treated. Aside from years of work on Rover, I am always the first option for the people close to me because they know they can trust me. I work full-time M-F but mostly work from home, so I have a lot of flexibility to step out to check on your loved ones—especially in the morning and later afternoon/evening. I also generally have an open schedule on weekends for drop-ins. I always strive to make my and anyone else's pets feel safe and comfortable. I've met many cats and dogs that get easily overwhelmed, so I always work to give animals their proper space/calming energy if needed. On the other hand, if someone wants a lot of attention, I make sure to meet their excitement and will always play with them as much as they want! It comes down to making sure they know they are safe and cared for, but also that they are respected.
“Alyssa took care of our cat and dog when my family and I were out of town. Alyssa was great, gave our pets lot of love and attention. She communicated very well and we were very happy with the care of our pets. We will definitely use Alyssa again.”

“Bryan was wonderful. We had to leave town quickly to see a family member in hospice. When they passed away on our trip, he was flexible and stayed longer. He took great care of the house and dog and was in communication with us checking in regularly. I didn’t have to worry about the house or dog. I will for sure book again with him.”

About: I provide quality service that meets your specific needs. Including washing your dishes, taking your trash out, and brining in your mail! I am very understanding. I will always try to work around your schedule on short notice. I accept same day cancellations! I work full time at Dentistry of Olde Towne Mon, Wed, and Fridays. In school Tuesdays and Thursdays. Pursuing a degree in Radiological Technology. I am available on the weekends. In case of an emergency I will work around your schedule! I have a fenced yard and have a friendly dog of my own. I am always happy to stay over at a client’s house if needed.

Had a last minute family emergency and Aubrey was willing to step in on short notice. Took good care of my dog and most importantly communicated well in terms of how my dog was doing and in addition when she wanted to take my dog somewhere asked first. I had no issues with that and my dog had a good time but asking first for things like that is important.

Sarah took great care of my dogs while I was away. She was very sweet with them and kept me updated throughout the stay with lots of photos and messages, which I really appreciated. It gave me peace of mind knowing they were getting plenty of love and attention. Thank you for taking care of my pups!

Cassidy is one of the very best pet sitters we have ever had. I rest easy on our trips knowing that our pets are in her hands. She is thorough and detail oriented and our pets are well taken care of. The little extra touches like our amazing daily pictures, treats, and even a little Polaroid and note at the end of her stay with us are everything. I would recommend Cass 100%, just not on the weeks we need her. 😉

Alexis did an awesome job with our pets (two dogs and a cat)! She sent pictures and/or videos daily. My cat indoor/outdoor wouldn’t come home one night and she stayed outside until my cat was found! That was a huge relief to me while I was gone on vacation. My house was clean when I got home, including washing the used bedding and towels. I will use Alexis again in the future.

Amazing--the best!! Sydney sent pictures and kept us posted on our gang every day. She managed 7 pets -- they were all relaxed and calm when we got home--the house looked great. We would HIGHLY recommend Sydney to look after your pets and give you peace of mind that your babies are safe and well cared for while your away!! We will be calling Sydney again.
Jackie arrived on time, was a great communicator and took good care of our two little pups for 9 days. Our house was immaculate and our furry kids were well cared for while we were gone. We felt comfortable with Jackie and would not hesitate to book her for a repeat engagement.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodstock walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodstock maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodstock choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodstock. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
