“My dog sitter had an issue the day before. Mary stepped in last minute and saved the day! She took incredible care of nefe and was so gracious to take such a short notice request. Absolutely recommend and will be booking her again! Thank you so much for everything!”

“Amber went above and beyond for our senior dog the two weeks we were gone. She put socks on his feet daily to keep him from sliding on our floor, gave him his pain medicine, took him on several walks a day, and was a fantastic companion for him. I have raved about her to our neighborhood and they are already booking her and giving the same praise.”

“Mark is a fantastic sitter and the babies were very happy with him. He is very respectful of our home and was happy to accommodate all of our needs. He also communicated really well throughout the stay with photos and videos and everything looked even better than when he first arrived. We will definitely be booking him again!”

“Tori is amazing! She showed up last minute for my fur baby in a time of desperate need. She made sure my Teddy was feeling ok with love and plenty of pets and cuddles. Can’t wait to book with her soon💕”

“We could not have been happier with Kayla! My wife and I took an international trip for more than a week and entrusted Kayla with both our home and our two large dogs, Ragnar and Rollo. From the moment we met her, we felt completely comfortable leaving everything in her care. Kayla was friendly, professional, communicative, and incredibly attentive to detail. She clearly loves dogs, and it showed in every interaction. We especially appreciated the photos and updates she sent, including some wonderful pictures of her playing with Ragnar and Rollo, making sure they got plenty of exercise, attention, and, of course, belly rubs. When you’re traveling overseas, peace of mind is priceless, and Kayla gave us exactly that. We never worried about the dogs or the house because we knew they were in capable hands. We returned home to two happy, well-cared-for dogs and a house that was just as we left it. We would absolutely book Kayla again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable pet sitter. Ragnar and Rollo clearly loved their time with her, and so did we.”

“Kayleigh was fantastic! She was very communicative and super easy to work with. She was friendly and took great care of our boys. She comforted them through a surprise fireworks show in the neighborhood that otherwise would have been traumatic if they were left alone. She made our night out even better knowing our extended four legged family was well taken care of. Highly recommend and will definitely use her care again in the future!”

“Kaylan was fantastic house sitting and watching over my 2 dogs and 2 cats. She took great care of my energetic dogs and followed all my pet instructions. I appreciated the daily updates and photos. And my house was tidy on my return. Definitely will be using Kaylan again!”

“Ciera was the kindest soul, very professional, communicative, extremely orderly and punctual and just by how our pups were when we returned home we can tell they were loved and treated well in our absence! Ciera is wonderful for drop-ins or for house sitting! We would trust her with either! We are grateful we found her and would love to hire her again without hesitation! Thank you a million times Ciera!❤️”

“Serenity took wonderful care of our animals just as requested. She came a day before to meet them, was on time, and our dog took to her immediately. Would definitely rebook with her in the future is needed!”

“Alyssa took care of our cat and dog when my family and I were out of town. Alyssa was great, gave our pets lot of love and attention. She communicated very well and we were very happy with the care of our pets. We will definitely use Alyssa again.”

“We re-booked Jenna for a 12-day vacation to care for our elderly two dogs with multiple medical needs. We trust her to care for them, administer their medications, and keep us informed. She sent pictures all along. The dogs enjoy having Jenna as their caregiver! I recommend her as a pet sitter as well to do drop-ins. We have also asked her to check on the dogs, let them out and feed them when we have a function in the evening. She’s a lovely, caring person.”

“I can’t say enough great things about our experience. She was so thoughtful and thorough with our babies. We’ve already started planning our next trip because we are confident they will be in good hands.”

“Liz was awesome! Our fur babies loved her! She sent several pics even though she stayed 1 night. When we got home, everything was nice and neat. We highly recommend Liz and would definitely use her again!”

About: I have house sat for many family members, neighbors, and acquaintance’s pets for two years. Before that I walked a few dogs in my neighborhood. This is currently my only form of work. I am almost always free unless there are other bookings lined up. I have form of transportation to get to your pets easily. I take staying in another’s person’s house very seriously. It is your space, and I intend to only stay to keep your fur babies happy, entertained, and taken care of. I respect your rules and clean up, so you felt like no one was even there.

Alexis did an awesome job with our pets (two dogs and a cat)! She sent pictures and/or videos daily. My cat indoor/outdoor wouldn’t come home one night and she stayed outside until my cat was found! That was a huge relief to me while I was gone on vacation. My house was clean when I got home, including washing the used bedding and towels. I will use Alexis again in the future.

We had a great experience with Amber! She was very responsive and quick to reply to any messages. She sent lots of wonderful pictures and updates throughout her stay, which gave us peace of mind knowing our dogs were well cared for. She also left our home clean and tidy, which we really appreciated. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she watches and takes pride in her work. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Ciera was the kindest soul, very professional, communicative, extremely orderly and punctual and just by how our pups were when we returned home we can tell they were loved and treated well in our absence! Ciera is wonderful for drop-ins or for house sitting! We would trust her with either! We are grateful we found her and would love to hire her again without hesitation! My dog sitter had an issue the day before. Mary stepped in last minute and saved the day! She took incredible care of nefe and was so gracious to take such a short notice request. Absolutely recommend and will be booking her again! Thank you so much for everything!

Jackie arrived on time, was a great communicator and took good care of our two little pups for 9 days. Our house was immaculate and our furry kids were well cared for while we were gone. We felt comfortable with Jackie and would not hesitate to book her for a repeat engagement.

This was our first time leaving our dog at home with a sitter instead of boarding. It went great and Verna did a great job! Honey was happier and we could enjoy our vacation knowing she was being well taken care of. Verna communicated with us each day and let us know Honey was doing great and eating. We would definitely love to use Verna again in the future!

We had such a great experience with Lauren! She took amazing care of our pups while we were away—plenty of walks, playtime, and snuggles. It was clear from the daily updates and photos that our dogs were happy, relaxed, and in great hands. All of our dogs can be a bit particular, but Lauren handled everything with patience and care. We came home to calm, content dogs and a tidy house. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sitter who truly treats your pets like their own!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Lebanon on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 4,296 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lebanon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lebanon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lebanon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lebanon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lebanon. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
