Information Mark C. would like to know about your pet

I love all dogs, but Huskies have a special place in my heart. Having said that, I have no preference over breed for walking or pet sitting.

A typical day

Aside from the obvious walk, I can play any number of games from fetch to more mentally stimulating games like hide & seek or problem solving games like finding the hidden treat. On early morning hikes I can also go on runs, although I will only accept a run after I’ve walked your pet first so I know how he/she does on a walk.

Pet care experience

I’m a lifelong dog owner, with four Siberian Huskies, as well as German Shepard, Lab and Rottweiler mix’s to my credit. I’m also a former K-9 Search And Rescue handler through the National Association for Search And Rescue and team training officer. I’ve volunteered for several local oranizations such as Fur Kids, Mush Rescue and Canine Cellmates in multiple capacities, such as foster, trainer, handler and photographer. I’ve been asked to foster the “troubled” pets because of my patience and ability to communicate and understand them. I practice positive reinforcement in my training methods, and have studied dog’s communication also known as calming signals. I also pet sit and walk all of my friend’s, friends of friend’s, and family’s pets. I didn’t choose this line of work; all my friends and family did.

We have had Mark sit at our house twice now and couldn’t be more happy. We have a high energy, large, 1 year old golden retriever and Mark is excellent with him! He leaves our house as clean as we left it and it’s like he wasn’t even here when we get home (the only clue is our dog is more well behaved once we get home). He sends us pictures of our pup and is a trustworthy person to have at our home.

Mark was fantastic. He took exceptional care of both our pups and our home, and we felt completely at ease while we were away. He regularly sent pictures and videos, which gave us real peace of mind. Reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring. We wouldn’t hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone.

Our dog seemed to enjoy spending time with Mark. He followed our instructions and plan to use him again.
