About: I grew up around many dogs and cats and have experience in taking care of all shapes, sizes, ages and needs. I have pet-sat and house-sat for numerous different families, including a family with 4 big dogs and a puppy! I am up for any challenge. I have experience with grooming and bathing pets as well. I love working with animals. I recently graduated and am currently looking for a job. My schedule is widely available because of this, so I am happy to take on as many requests as I can! I currently live in an apartment that does not allow animals, so I can only offer pet sitting/walking services in your home. I find that this is usually best for the animal to get to stay in an environment they are comfortable in!

About: Hi, I’m Sophia! I made Oakland my home almost four years ago! Since my apartment does not allow pets, the time I get to spend with pets is extra special to me. I’ve been around animals my whole life and feel passionate about pet care and wellbeing. Walking and interacting with the dogs I’ve had has always been incredibly rewarding for me, and I want to bring my enthusiasm for dog care to others! I provide dog walking and drop-in services, with an emphasis on exploration and adventure. I love finding new walking routes and love exploring the city and trails in the Berkeley and Oakland hills. For drop-in’s I offer a personalized experience for each pet, and aim to ensure that by the time I leave they’re as happy as can be. I mostly work an east coast schedule so am always down to go on a mid-afternoon hiking/trail adventure with your pup! I value creating a calm but clear environment for all the dogs I work with. I have experience training dogs in easy commands (sit, stay etc) and always communicate with the client about how to best communicate with their dogs, as well as any stickier behaviors that I should be aware of while caring for their pet.

About: I’ve done neighborhood dog care in high school for 2 years and in college occasionally take care of my friends cats while they are away. I’m a full time student at Cal but my classes are all during the morning so afternoons and evenings I am normally available to go for walks, feed, or play with pets. I have a fenced back yard and a pet friendly lease for my apartment. While boarding I would put fragile valuables away securely in my loft.

About: I am the go to for pet care, wether it’s friends/family/coworkers. My dog and cat are my priority and I treat every animal I welcome in my home as a priority. Leaving your pet with someone is terrifying (at least for me) and I ease that for everyone that I have watched pets for. I have a dog, and a cat so adding a couple more animals is not difficult. I work my schedule around my dog currently, he likes to have two walks full walks a day, sniff time throughout the day, and a feeding schedule. I am walking distance from my work, and only physically have to be there 4 hours a day 5 days a week. I live in a house with a secure back deck, that leads to a private beach. My dog is monitored while outside, and is only allowed on the deck alone while I am home. Every animal has different needs and I adjust to their schedule/needs. Basics are walks, play, and feeding. I work part time but and able to change my schedule to accommodate the needs of your pet. Their schedule is a priority when I am watching them, and I make sure I am able to meet their needs. I never let an animal off leash unless they are in a secure yard. I avoid places that have dogs off leash. I am comfortable with any safety measures you have for your animal. I work with reactive dogs, and comfortable with putting on a muzzle, I also will advocate for your dogs space and comfort.

About: We have been fostering special needs dogs for the past 7 years, and due to family circumstances, we have to put a hold on that for a while. In the meantime, we're both part time, medical professionals and have lots of time to help out with your dog-care needs. (Robert works only from home.) There is absolutely nothing like the bond between humans and dogs, and we know how important it is for you to feel like your baby is in good hands. We're super responsive, dependable, and flexible to your needs. We've never met a dog we couldn't love! One or both of us is home every day and we love getting outdoors and being active if that's what your pup craves. Great walking neighborhood and Lake Temescal is just 5 minutes down the road for serious sniffing potential. We average 6-10 miles a day of walking if your dog enjoys long walks, and Brian can run up to 12 miles per day on weekends. No other animals in our house currently. Single family home with fenced outdoor area. Very dog-friendly and safe neighborhood. Dogs can be crated or uncrated at night (your preference).

About: I have enjoyed a lifelong love of dogs and bring over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of many different kinds of temperaments and personality. I have loved and raised both energetic dogs (Golden Retriever and Border Collie) as well as my most recent rescue poodle mix Rudy who I saw through to the end of his 15th year. I am 100% equipped to take tender loving care of the special needs of senior pups and know how to administer meds to dogs of all ages. I am an avid walker and would welcome the chance to take your dog outside with me as needed. Dogs are not just pets to me but cherished family members who deserve the best. When your dogs are in my care, you can trust that they will be treated as my own, with attention, love and the respect they deserve. I work PT and mostly from home. I go my office (local) for around 4 hours, two days a week. Other than that, I am available to be with your dog or cat for most of the day if need be. I live in a large flat with ample room to run and play. I am able to crate your dog if preferred or needed. I do not have any other pets or children so your pup has my full attention.

About: I've had pets my whole life from dogs, birds, and different reptiles. I've volunteered at shelters and rescues with walking and fostering dogs. I'm very comfortable with dogs and excited to meet yours! My schedule is currently very flexible and looking to walk dogs during this time. Mornings and afternoons ideal but can also assist for evenings occasionally Safety is of utmost importance. I always make sure that pets are properly secured before leaving a property. Any codes and property are respected to ensure a comfortable experience.

About: Hi! We are two animal lovers who have had pets of all kinds throughout our lives. Chrystal has raised dogs, cats, fish, iguanas, guinea pigs, and other small furry creatures. Daniel was raised on many acres with many furry and farm animals as pets. Our family consists of ourselves, 2 kids, and 2 adorable cats. Our sweet, large goof of a dog recently passed and we miss him dearly. We both work from home with a flexible schedule, so have plenty of opportunity to support your family's needs. We both have years of experience dog and cat sitting. We are comfortable and experienced with all breeds and ages and can provide medication as needed. Daniel is also uniquely skilled with larger dogs who need extra support, confidence, or attention when walking or near others. About: I grew up with a dog that I was responsible for from a young age until my late teens. Today, I am the go-to dog care person for family and friends. I love animals but especially dogs so I decided to try expanding my skills here on Rover. I have experience helping dogs who are injured and need medicine, active, semi-active, and mellow dogs too! My current schedule offers flexibility throughout the weekdays and most weekends, which helps me balance and accommodate dog owners' various schedules/needs throughout the entire week. At your home, I am a responsible and conscientous person, who treats someone's home with care. I am adaptable to different home environments. The main thing for me is feeling safe in the home and cleanliness -:) and that the dog is comfortable.

About: I have extensive experience handling rescue animals. I have worked closely with professional trainers with my own dog which has given me more knowledge to apply to pet sitting. Pets always feel safe with me because I keep calm. I work part time as a catering chef. I will be able to schedule my sitting/walking appointments when I am not working in the kitchen. This will allow me to do two things I really care about and enjoy. I have a cat and a dog at my home. When I am doing my sitting work, my wife will be able to take care of the pets at my home. I will care for other people's pets as if they were my own.

About: Over the past few years, I've immersed myself in the world of house and pet sitting, earning a reputation for reliability, cleanliness, and a responsible touch. One notable experience was house and pet sitting for a senior couple, during their getaway down south. I cared for their two cats, two chickens and managed an intricate bird feeding system daily for the local avian residents who had become very precious friends to the lady of the house. Consistently entrusted with dog-sitting for a couple for a few years, from short weekends to extensive several week long periods, I've become an integral part of their fur-family. They eventually relocated to Oregon. Before my trip abroad they flew me to Portland to care for their dogs, Sana and Osa, and the orange cat, Ninja, during their three-week wedding getaway in Mexico. Adapting to Sana's sensitivity, I was instructed to do daily car trips with the dogs to a nearby cemetery ensuring a peaceful neighborhood environment. I share this to say, I am used to accommodating unique requests to meet your needs. Beyond standard dog and cat sits, I once tended to a rescue crow bird and her two cat companions for a month while the owners were in India studying Vedic astrology. In most of these instances I've been responsible for watering plants, as well as picking up mail and sometimes when pets were not the present, I've been entrusted to be that reassuring human presence in the home, turning on the light and keeping things alive. I have flexible hours due to my remote work and able to customize and integrate a flexible schedule around assisting with your pets needs and open to suggestions. Currently only tending to pets at your home. I can come for a visit to feed, walk, give medication, play, exercise, give love, brush and spend time with your fur babies. I can also stay over night.
