About: Hi! Certified pet lover of all breeds, personalities, and diverse-abilities. I have over 15 years experience caring for furry friends and am comfortable with feeding, walking, administering medications, cleaning, and giving all the love! I have a pup of my own and will treat your loved one just like my own! I currently have open availability on weekdays and weekends! My partner works from home as well so we will have all helpful and playful hands on deck! I am happy to accommodate anything, just reach out and inquire. My fur baby would welcome friends for visits and we allow pups on all surfaces, making them feel at home! We have a very large fenced backyard and front patio area as well as a park on our street.
“Katie was fantastic with Lupe while we were gone. She’s trustworthy, very communicative, always timely, and always shared a lot of details on how Lupe was doing. I look forward to having her come back soon! 😊”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for a while now. I mainly take care of my own pets and I am wanting to get into pet sitting. I have a dog and two cats back home. I promise your pets are in good hands!! I am a student at UNCW in need of a part time job! If we work together I can show you my class schedule - I am very flexible! Furry friends are so important to me. I absolutely love them and put so much love and care into them. I will walk them, love on them, feed them, and do whatever else they need:)

About: I’ve had dogs all of my life, some of my first ever memories are playing with my childhood dog. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals especially cats! I also love walks and play time! I can’t wait to meet new fur friends! ( I’m also comfortable with most reptiles) I currently work full time as a barista at a small local business. Luckily I have a super flexible schedule. I typically work 10am-4pm Monday- Friday and 8am-3pm Saturday and Sunday 12pm-5pm. While I have pet sitting duties I am able to adjust my schedule to fit the needs of your pet as I am seriously on a super flexible schedule. Potty: At home my cats have a cattery so they can go outside whenever they need to use the bathroom. My dog gets let out every few hours or whenever she wants to go outside. I used to take my dog in a walk daily but as she’s getting older she’s developed some arthritis. Feeding time: Both my dog and cats get fed twice ( morning & night) a day and I refill water twice a day. Just let me know the needs of your pets and their routines.
About: I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember, and I currently have three rescue dogs of my own! I rescued my first dog, Mia, while I was in college, adopted my second, Poppy, last year, and recently welcomed our third rescue after she was found abandoned in a field. Having three dogs with different personalities and backgrounds has given me plenty of hands-on experience with different temperaments, energy levels, routines, and needs. I understand that every dog is different, and I’m happy to take the time to learn what makes your dog feel happiest and most comfortable. Whether your dog needs a good walk to get some energy out, a quick potty break during the workday, some extra playtime, or simply company and attention, I’ll treat them with the same love and care I give my own dogs. I’m dependable, patient, attentive, and always happy to send plenty of photo updates so you know your pup is happy and well cared for! 🐾 I’m a real estate agent, which means I have a very flexible schedule and work from home often! This gives me plenty of time throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, check-ins, or just hanging out and keeping your pets company. My schedule allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily routine, and I love having an excuse to spend even more time with animals! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always do my best to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. I’ll follow any instructions you leave for feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and anything else your pet may need. I’m also happy to spend extra time giving them attention, playing, or just keeping them company! I know every pet has their own personality and preferences, so I’ll always take the time to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I’ll also send plenty of photos and updates so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is happy and getting lots of love while you’re away!

About: What sets me apart is my real hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs in different home environments. I’ve pet sat for 3 different families and understand how important it is to keep pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. I also have a cat and two dogs of my own, so caring for animals is already a big part of my daily life. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals of all personalities and energy levels. I am currently a student at UNCW and am looking to pet sit during my free time. I’m responsible, caring, and passionate about animals, and I would love the opportunity to provide reliable and loving care for your pets while you’re away. In the client’s home, I will maintain the environment exactly as I found it. I will carefully follow all instructions provided and in unforeseen situations I can navigate them by using my experience caring for pets to handle any situation responsibly.

About: I’ve always loved animals and have grown up around pets. I’m responsible, patient and enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and specific quirks. I’m happy to help with walks, feeding, playtime or just keeping your pet company while you’re away. I’m a full-time college student and I’m not working currently, so I have a really flexible schedule. I also have a light class load this semester, which gives me plenty of free time throughout the week. Because of that, I’m able to be flexible with different pet schedules and spend plenty of time with them instead of just rushing in and out. I am able to work around your pet’s routine, whether they need a walk, playtime, to be fed, or just someone to hang out with. I’m very attentive when it comes to taking care of animals, and I always want to make sure I know your pet and their routine before you leave. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, watching them at my home for the day, house sitting at your home, etc. I pay close attention to things like feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, doors and gates, and any little details that are important to you. I will do everything I can to make your pet feel comfortable and safe while you’re away! Just a heads-up, I do have a cat at home, so any pets staying at my house would need to be comfortable around cats.

About: I have two dogs that I walk and care for each day for 10 years. I have fostered dogs in the past of various ages and breeds from puppies to senior dogs. I am a recent UNCW graduate taking a semester off and a dad who is available during school hours. Happy and excited to play with and walk your dogs! I have two senior dogs that I care for everyday so I understand when a dog has specific needs and requirements. I read and follow instructions for each pet!
About: I’ve had cats my entire adult life and have always taken care of the pets of family and friends when they go out of town. Pets are family and I treat them with the love and care that they deserve. I love dogs as well as cats and have experience caring for both. I have availability in the mornings (earlier is better) as well as evenings and I am very flexible on weekends. I am willing to work with you in order to meet your needs and what works for you. My senior cat Miles recently passed away sadly. He was diabetic and we gave him daily pills for his heart murmur. I have experience giving insulin shots as well as convincing your pets to take their pills! I also understand senior pets have increasing needs as they get older.
About: I have had a furry friend in my life in some form or another since I was very young. I have experience with both more reactive and friendly breeds and have no preference on the kinds I work with. I use patience and understanding to make them feel safe. I worked professionally as a dog walker and pet sitter for two years to multiple dogs and can bring love and affection to any animals in my care. I am responsible, punctual and a great communicator and can be an asset in caring for your dog or other animals while you are away or on a regular basis for walks. I work 4 nights a week from 3pm-11pm downtown. I am not opposed to early morning visits or late nights visits if required and am available for overnights. I do a walkthrough with owners of exact locations for all your pets, learn their quirks, the things they love and don’t like and what might come up during my stay with them. I answer all phone calls and texts from owners while they are away to ensure they feel safe and comfortable knowing their animals are properly cared for.
About: Dogs have been part of my family for more than 25 years. Throughout that time, I've cared for dogs with different energy levels, temperaments, and needs. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and quality care while their owners are away. I have a schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. Whether it's sticking to feeding routines, going for walks, playing, or simply providing companionship, I make pet care a priority each day I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I'll follow your dog's routine as closely as possible, whether that's feeding schedules, walks, medications, or just giving them the extra attention they need. I want every dog to feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away, and I'll treat them like they're part of my own family.
About: I have had my fur baby now for 8 months. He’s still a puppy and lots of fun! I have fostered a few pups this year and enjoy spending time with dogs. I work from home during the week and I have time to give your furbaby non stop attention. My building has its own gated dog park and a park for lots of exercise during the day. I enjoy grooming at home, playing with toys and training with delicious treats. I would treat your fur baby just like my own lil guy (Tino)

Elena goes above and beyond, making sure Dolly gets not just exercise, but also attention and care. I always feel completely at ease knowing Dolly is in such good hands. I would highly recommend Elena to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker.

From the moment she walked in the door you could tell Jenna is very experienced and comfortable with dogs. My pups just loved her. She communicated so well and was very pleasant to work with. My pups came back from the walk tired and happy. We’re so happy we found Jenna!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
