About: I’ve taken care of neighbors dogs for years! I have three chihuahuas and a german shepard hound dog mix! What sets me apart is my dedication to anything I do. I can promise a safe and caring environment for your best friends! As well as someone who truly cares about giving people the best service possible. I am in school and work part time! However even if my availability doesn’t align with your needs, I might still be available! Due to Rover settings I cannot put in hourly settings, but I am available certain times that I cannot put in the app. I am currently looking for a part time job while I am enrolled in school, and want to do something I love as well ! I have a fenced in backyard, as well as a doggy door so they can have access 24/7! Additionally I have a large neighborhood to take any fur baby’s on walks.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. What started as overnight visits for family friends, quickly grew into referrals and neighbors trusting me with their furry loved ones. Over the past 15 years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with daily walks, administering medications, preparing special diets, and providing individualized care. Most importantly, I bring a fun, playful, and compassionate approach to every pet I meet. They deserve to feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I grew up with 2 Labradors, and currently have a Labrador of my own. I also had 2 cats while I was in college. I currently work part-time as a real estate agent, which means I have plenty of time to give your pups the love, attention, and play they deserve. I am open during the weekday or on most weekends! In Your Home When I care for pets in their own home, I make sure to keep their routine as close to normal as possible. Whether that’s mealtime, walks, medications, or cuddle time. I also give plenty of updates and photos so you feel confident and connected while you’re away. In My Home If your pet is staying with me, they’ll be treated like family. I provide a safe, cozy space with lots of playtime, walks, and snuggles, along with any special food or care instructions you provide. I also have a fully vaccinated Labrador puppy who would love to have a friend to hangout with!

Lacey is fabulous! He is polite, patient, and flexible. He walked my 89 year old mother’s dog and handled her constantly changing requests with grace and kindness. Her old dog adapted quickly to his visits and waited by the door for him to arrive. He arrived on time for every walk, printed out the schedule for my mom who forgets things, and was just all-around wonderful. I highly recommend him and thank him for everything he has done.

About: I’ve always connected well with animals, especially dogs. I’ve dog walked and watched others’ animals from a very young age. I was 22 when I decided to become a dog trainer. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the best programs in the country at Animal Behavior College, with a certificate in canine behavior therapy & a concentration in rehabilitating shelter dogs. I’m also qualified to train emotional support animals, which has been so rewarding. I chose this as a career path because of how much I genuinely love all living things. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends and give them the best care they could ask for! I own my own business, so I make my own schedule. I can tend to whatever schedule best suits the animals. I don’t have pets of my own, so that gives me even more flexibility. I always make sure I’m doing my best to care for animals, in any aspect of my life or career. I’m diligent in making sure their feeding, walking and play schedules are upheld promptly, and that their routines stay relatively in tact. This is one of the best things you can do to ease a pet’s anxiety about their owners being away. I work as a trainer, which means I’m happy to add on training sessions with your pet while they’re in my care, through my business if that’s something of interest. I’m very amenable to the specifications for each individual animal. Some dogs like to be given affection on the couch for a few minutes each day. Others might enjoy watching the birds in their yard for a while. I’m always happy to attune my care for each dog. When walking a dog, the quality of the walks are just as important as their frequency. Dogs require a certain level of mental stimulation each day, and ten minutes of sniffing is enough to satisfy most dog’s needs. They need the sniffing as much as the exercise. Your dog will be given ample time to sniff and “read the doggy newspaper”, as well as get some great exercise. I always make sure the animal has gotten everything that they need from the experience.

During the academic year, I assist my aunt, who is a teacher, by attending to her dog daily and ensuring its well-being while she is at work. I also would care for my 16 year old dog on a daily basis for 5+ years. Being I have lots of pets of my own, animal care is part of my daily routine. On the daily I’m able to safely care for my animals and clean up after them. About: As of 2020 I have never had a dog my of my own, consider me the cool, fun, yet responsible Aunt. I loved any opportunity to take care of friends and familes pets throughout the years. Around 2005 my sister who has since passed away, got a dog and named him sammy and that is when i fell in love with animals. I saw how much she loved him and how much he loved her back, its a special bond. During her sickness he was by her side constantly and thats something I will never forget. One of my close friends lives down the street and comes over weekly, I have special dog bowls, treats, food and toys just for his dogs. When he is out of town I am the 1st person he calls to see if someone can dog sit, I always say yes of course. I love dogs and all animals and I'd be honored to meet and help take care of yours. Hope to meet you guys soon. Now in 2022 I have had my Chocolate Lab Whiskey for 2 years this December! I never knew how much I would come to love and appreciate this animal and I only want to so the same for you. How does pet care fit into your daily or weekly routine? I am currently self employed working from home so my schedule is very flexible How do you care for pets in your home and/or your client's home? This will vary depending on which service you offer. My yard is completly fenced in! I have dog bowls, treats and toys on hand as well..your dog will be in great hands!

I'd give Ashton six stars if I could. Fiona agrees. She is kind, thoughtful, and great with animals. We were visiting town for a wedding and couldn't find a dog sitter at home. So Fiona was coming with us! But she has horrible separation anxiety, so leaving her alone while we went to the rehearsal dinner and wedding. I found Ashton's profile and just knew Fiona would like her. We made the arrangements months before our trip. The day we arrived in Wilmington, Ashton met us at the house for an intro. I was so grateful that Fiona was able to meet her before we left them alone for the evening. And, as suspected, Fiona warmed up to Ashton pretty quickly. The two had two lovely, quiet evenings together (based on the photos) and I got to enjoy the wedding events without worrying about my dog. I truly can not recommend her enough. She will take great care of your pet and give you peace of mind.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
