As well as owning my own pets most of my life (dogs, cats, ferret, bird, rabbits, etc.), I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-veterinary medicine. I have pet-sat for several friends and clients, volunteered at shelters, worked at veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, and for a professional dog walking / cat sitting company. You can rest easy as your pet will be safe in my care. I follow directions well and get the details right! Why I love dog walking and sitting: I have been a dog lover since the day I was born. My first dog, Chief, helped raise me! Since then, I have owned a dog most of my life. Some have called me the "dog-whisperer". I have a pretty good perception of dogs and connect very easily with most. My last dog, Wendell, was a 150 lb. mastiff whom I adopted when he was 4.5 years old. He had never been socialized and was scared of most people, so in the six years we were together, I gained a lot of first-hand experience working through behavioral issues in a very large and strong breed. Our current dog is Lucy, a happy-go-lucky bull terrier who is deaf. She loves every living being! I also love taking care of cats and other pets. I've given lots of oral meds and various ointments, eye drops, ear drops, etc. Much of my week is flexible. I do have another part-time job Monday-Thursday mornings, but let me know your needs and I will do my best to accommodate! ONE DOG FAMILY AT A TIME Boarding and Doggie Day Care: It will only be your dog(s) and our one dog staying at our house. We have a secure, privacy-fenced yard, a doggie door, and a covered back patio with doggie beds perfect for lounging in the sun or shade. Our friendly bull terrier, Lucy, will happily keep your dog company! We can easily keep your dog in a separate room while we are away from the house if needed. About: I have been around dogs since I was born. My parents have always had at least one dog running around the house, and I now have one myself that lives with me! Layla has gotten me through some tough times and with that being said I know how important dogs (and cats) are in our lives. About: My parents had two cats from before I was born. They lived till I was about 14 and allowed me to become very familiar with having a cat as a pet. About: We have been taking care of dogs since 2018! We are so enjoying it!! Hubby walks the dogs and I cuddle and play! It's a win win for your fur baby! For doggie day care we are available between 8 am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Would love long term . We do have one small dog. For boarding we are available both weekdays and weekends. We have a nice fenced-in backyard and my husband takes the dogs out for walks when possible! When that option isn't available,they have dedicated playtime in the yard.We have one dog that is not initially playful but takes a while to warm up but he does typically! I do require a meet and greet before committing and for pets to show proof of rabies shots,heartworm and flea and tic treatments. I work part time outside the home but my hubby works part time in the home so rarely are we both gone at the same time. I have a fenced in yard and my husband tries to walk our dog daily.Typically will hit the area walking trails. If necessary, he is willing to walk animals separately(older dog who can not walk as long or dogs who have health challenges)Our dog is aloof and takes a bit of time to adjust but usually does. We are attentive to this and supervise very closely until we see how things are going to be. We own both a large and small dog crate and can separate them if needed

About: I’ve always connected well with animals, especially dogs. I’ve dog walked and watched others’ animals from a very young age. I was 22 when I decided to become a dog trainer. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the best programs in the country at Animal Behavior College, with a certificate in canine behavior therapy & a concentration in rehabilitating shelter dogs. This is one of the best things you can do to ease a pet’s anxiety about their owners being away. I’m very amenable to the specifications for each individual animal. Some dogs like to be given affection on the couch for a few minutes each day. Others might enjoy watching the birds in their yard for a while. I’m always happy to attune my care for each dog. When walking a dog, the quality of the walks are just as important as their frequency. Dogs require a certain level of mental stimulation each day, and ten minutes of sniffing is enough to satisfy most dog’s needs. They need the sniffing as much as the exercise. Your dog will be given ample time to sniff and “read the doggy newspaper”, as well as get some great exercise. I always make sure the animal has gotten everything that they need from the experience.

About: I've taken 3 different veterinary assistant courses and I have previously worked as an overnight kennel technician at a veterinary clinic where I work with small mamals and exotic pets throughout the night. I also have experience at dog tay cares and pet boarding facilities. I am also now certified in pet 1st aid anc cpr for cats and dogs. Helping out with animals is my passion! As well as owning my own pets most of my life (dogs, cats, ferret, bird, rabbits, etc.), I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-veterinary medicine. My first dog, Chief, helped raise me! Since then, I have owned a dog most of my life. Some have called me the "dog-whisperer". I have a pretty good perception of dogs and connect very easily with most. My last dog, Wendell, was a 150 lb. mastiff whom I adopted when he was 4.5 years old. He had never been socialized and was scared of most people, so in the six years we were together, I gained a lot of first-hand experience working through behavioral issues in a very large and strong breed. Our current dog is Lucy, a happy-go-lucky bull terrier who is deaf. She loves every living being! I also love taking care of cats and other pets. Our friendly bull terrier, Lucy, will happily keep your dog company! We can easily keep your dog in a separate room while we are away from the house if needed. About: I have been around dogs since I was born. My parents have always had at least one dog running around the house, and I now have one myself that lives with me! Layla has gotten me through some tough times and with that being said I know how important dogs (and cats) are in our lives. I would love to be a sitter, walker, and caregiver to anyone's furry necessity! I am a full time student! Which means that I usually have school all week! I am free after 5pm every day of the week and on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays all day! I have my 3 year old dog named Layla that is very friendly to all dogs! She is playful and loves to meet new friends! I walk her 3-4 times daily because I don't have a fenced yard. This will also be the case if I am boarding a dog! If your dog is crate trained I have a medium sized crate that they can sleep in overnight! I am open to walking as often as needed and will follow routines to a tee! I also live with my boyfriend as a heads up! He is lovely pet owner and loves my girl like she is his own!

About: I have grown up around animals and am experienced taking care of puppies to senior dogs. I have spent the last couple of years learning more about what makes a dog stay healthy and happy. I understand how a pet is a member of your family or your whole world so I will treat them as such. They deserve to be cared for at the standard they would be by you and I will take that responsibility seriously. I have my own dog at home and sometimes life gets busy and I need others to help me. I enjoy doing the same for others by dropping in, walking your dog, or watching them overnight. I have a very dog friendly apartment with its own walking trail to take your pet on a walk. I also have balcony’s overlooking the trail that dogs enjoy sitting on and watching the activity outside. I do have my own dog who is crate trained but he also always wants to play with other dogs. I can keep the dogs separated in my home, or out loose depending on your preference. I have no problem sharing furniture and couches with a fur baby because their comfort is my priority.
