Lacey is fabulous! He is polite, patient, and flexible. He walked my 89 year old mother’s dog and handled her constantly changing requests with grace and kindness. Her old dog adapted quickly to his visits and waited by the door for him to arrive. He arrived on time for every walk, printed out the schedule for my mom who forgets things, and was just all-around wonderful. I highly recommend him and thank him for everything he has done.

About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies and rescue dogs to senior dogs needing specialized attention, including my 16-year-old diabetic beagle who required daily medication, monitoring, and lots of extra love and patience. In my home, dogs are family. They’re welcome on the furniture, get plenty of affection, and are treated like part of the pack. I currently have a friendly 6-year-old rescued American Foxhound who loves other dogs and would be excited to have some company. I work from home full-time, which means your pup will have lots of supervision, attention, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. My community also has a dog park where dogs can safely run around and burn off energy. Whether your dog needs overnight care, walks, drop-in visits, or just a comfortable home away from home, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I work from home full-time, which means your pup will have lots of supervision, attention, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. About: I have always had a deep affection for animals from a young age. It is a privilege for me to have the opportunity to work with animals. Currently, l am the caretaker of five dogs and 3 cats in my household and actively participate in their daily care alongside other family members. Apart from my own pets, I have gained experience in pet sitting on multiple occasions. During the academic year, I assist my aunt, who is a teacher, by attending to her dog daily and ensuring its well-being while she is at work. I also would care for my 16 year old dog on a daily basis for 5+ years. Being I have lots of pets of my own, animal care is part of my daily routine. On the daily I’m able to safely care for my animals and clean up after them. I am proficient in providing standard animal care services.Depending on the service, this includes feeding, bathing, cleaning up after, playing with, and of course, showering animals with unconditional love!

About: I’ve always connected well with animals, especially dogs. I’ve dog walked and watched others’ animals from a very young age. I was 22 when I decided to become a dog trainer. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the best programs in the country at Animal Behavior College, with a certificate in canine behavior therapy & a concentration in rehabilitating shelter dogs. I’m also qualified to train emotional support animals, which has been so rewarding. I chose this as a career path because of how much I genuinely love all living things. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends and give them the best care they could ask for! I own my own business, so I make my own schedule. I can tend to whatever schedule best suits the animals. I don’t have pets of my own, so that gives me even more flexibility. I always make sure I’m doing my best to care for animals, in any aspect of my life or career. I’m diligent in making sure their feeding, walking and play schedules are upheld promptly, and that their routines stay relatively in tact. This is one of the best things you can do to ease a pet’s anxiety about their owners being away. I work as a trainer, which means I’m happy to add on training sessions with your pet while they’re in my care, through my business if that’s something of interest. I’m very amenable to the specifications for each individual animal. Some dogs like to be given affection on the couch for a few minutes each day. Others might enjoy watching the birds in their yard for a while. I’m always happy to attune my care for each dog. When walking a dog, the quality of the walks are just as important as their frequency. Dogs require a certain level of mental stimulation each day, and ten minutes of sniffing is enough to satisfy most dog’s needs. They need the sniffing as much as the exercise. Your dog will be given ample time to sniff and “read the doggy newspaper”, as well as get some great exercise. I always make sure the animal has gotten everything that they need from the experience.

About: Hi, I'm Elizabeth! Dogs haven't just been a part of my life—they have been my entire life. Growing up with dogs since childhood, I have over 30 years of hands-on experience as a dedicated pet owner. Over the decades, I’ve loved and cared for some pretty incredible rescues, giving me a deep understanding of different temperaments, behaviors, and unique backgrounds. My personal pack has included everything from the high energy of a beautiful Golden Retriever to the wonderful, grateful souls of two rescued Black Labs. I am also currently the proud parent of a sweet senior Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who requires daily medication and a very energetic and active 1.5 yr old Lab/Hound rescue. Managing senior care and strict medical schedules is second nature to me, so if your pup needs a gentle touch, precise pill administration, or just a little extra patience, they are in highly capable hands. Whether your dog is a bouncy puppy who needs to burn off some energy or a sweet senior who prefers a quiet cuddle, I treat every guest like a member of my own family. I can’t wait to meet your furry best friend and give them the safe, loving, and attentive care they deserve while you're away! Pet care isn't just a task for me—it’s the anchor of my daily routine. Since I work from home, my days naturally revolve around the needs of my own pack, starting with early morning walks or runs and daily trips to the dog park. Because I maintain a highly structured and active routine at home, stepping away for regular potty breaks, playtime, and fresh air is already second nature to me. Whether it's keeping a high-energy pup active and engaged or ensuring a sweet senior gets their quiet resting time, your dog will seamlessly blend into a day already filled with love, structure, and plenty of attention. My home is a true haven for dogs, fully set up to mirror the love, safety, and structure they get at home. Guests have the freedom to lounge in a comfortable, climate-controlled environment, with plenty of cozy spots for naps and dedicated spaces for peaceful downtime. Because I am highly experienced with managing multiple dog personalities your pup’s specific routine will be followed to the letter. Walks, playtime, and potty breaks are built into the day to keep active dogs happy. Safety and supervision are my top priorities, ensuring a stress-free environment where your furry family member can feel entirely secure, loved, and pampered while you're away.

About: I know you’ve heard the same story on here just with a different name attached to it. So I’ll save you the “I’ve been around animals my entire life speech”. If you entrust me with your animals, I will care for them as if they were my own. You’ll never have to question whether they’re being loved, well cared for, and thoroughly spoiled. I pride myself on clear communication, reliability, and punctuality, so you’ll always know your pets are safe and happy. From consistent updates to dependable care, your animals will always be treated with the attention, comfort, and affection they deserve. They truly couldn’t be in better hands. I work a full time job but it is a split schedule so my availability is different than the standard fri-sun availability that comes with having a full time job. I provide attentive, in-home pet care tailored to each pet’s routine and personality. From feeding schedules and walks to playtime, medication support, litter box cleaning, and companionship, I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I treat every home with respect and every pet like family, giving updates and plenty of love along the way.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
