About: What sets me apart as a sitter is my patience and my ability to adapt to each dog’s individual needs. I have hands-on experience caring for my own dogs as well as dogs belonging to friends and acquaintances while they were traveling. I am especially comfortable caring for senior dogs and dogs with cardiac conditions. I understand the importance of routine, close observation, and giving medications carefully and on time. I always follow the owner’s instructions in detail to ensure each dog’s health and well-being. I also have experience working with puppies. I know how to keep them engaged with age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors, while maintaining structure and safety. In addition, I have some experience with positive reinforcement training, focusing on patience, consistency, and encouragement rather than punishment. About: Hello, I’m Meg! I’m an originally from Buffalo, NY, but recently moved to Jersey City for work. Anyone who knows me can say that I am passionate about my love for animals and give the best care that I possibly can. I grew up with a miniature schnauzer, and I had a cat named Dobby who passed recently due to medical issues. I currently have a bunny named Hopper who is free roam in my home and loves to spend his days lounging around, playing, and eating hay. I have worked in a veterinary office before and am comfortable handling animals of all shapes and sizes. I have also been a foster and volunteer with animal shelter and rescue groups for over 10 years. This has given me insight to medical care and understanding behavioral cues from animals to ensure their health and happiness. About: I’ve taken care of my own 3 Pomeranians and 1 cat for about 5 years now. Whatever services you require are probably tasks that I’ve experienced and would be comfortable doing. My dogs are my super spoiled best friends, and I can’t wait to meet yours! I am able and available just about everyday to walk or dog sit and can work it pretty easily around my schedule as needed or requested. I walk dogs, play with them, can give medicine as directed, feed them, and just hang out with them. I am kind, gentle, and will care for your dogs with the utmost patience and respect.

About: I’ve grew up with dogs my whole life. My first dog was a rottie so I’m familiar with the rottie rumble and my other dogs were pit bulls. Animals in general read energy very well. Dogs can sense when a good person is near them. I treat dogs like little children! If boarding Friday I can take the dog out for a walk before settling in. I live in the brand new luxury apartments that has a dog yard outside. Saturday’s could be a park day or a long board walk towards Bayonne. Depending on the weather, a nice picnic or a drive in movie theater. Then pick up on Sunday! My apartment is spacious with a big bathroom. I do have a patio that is fenced. If they need to use the bathroom outside given they are trained using the weewee pads.

“I booked Frankie to walk my Pitbull today and had a great experience. What really stood out to me right away was that, unlike other dog walkers, he didn’t ask to meet my dog beforehand or question his behavior. That gave me the impression that he’s confident in his skills and comfortable handling larger dogs of any temperament. My dog is very strong and Frankie handled him with no issues at all. He was on time, extremely friendly, and very communicative throughout the walk. I also appreciated the pictures he sent, which gave me peace of mind. I’ll definitely be booking with him again!”

About: I am new to Rover but I am not new to loving and caring for the best creatures this planet has to offer! There are genuinely not enough words to express my love for the beings that love us more than we could ever fathom! I have two cats currently and one of my babies is a senior cat I recently adopted at 9 years old. She has lung issues and I’ve been navigating taking care of her needs while showing both of my babies the attention they deserve. I also had a dog for 13 years before that and he was / will always be the love of my life. I currently work part time and go to school full time but my schedule is very organized and because of school I have the time to hang out with the fur babies while doing school work or finishing up assignments in between so it is a win/win! My care for any pet starts with love! When taking care of our dearest I assess what they need along with any specific instructions that were given. With animals you follow their lead and go with the flow that they give you. Not over thinking and just enjoying the furry friend I have the pleasure of spending time with really sums everything up.

About: Hello! My name is Melissa. I am a lover of all animals and am hoping to add your furry family member to the list of pets that I’ve had the honor of meeting. I have grown up around cats and dogs my whole life and took this one step further by adopting my own kitty, Leo, after moving out of my parents house. He is basically my child and my philosophy with pet sitting is to provide the same care to your pet as I would for him. I have further experience with dogs as during college, I spent three years as a club member for a club that raised service dogs in training. My role in this club was being a sitter, meaning I would watch the pups (ranging from 10 weeks to 2 years old) while their raisers were away. I would spend this time practicing commands with them, walking them or taking them on playdates with other pups in the programs, or snuggle with them at my apartment. These times were some of my best memories of college. I also still help my parents when I go home to visit with my childhood dog, Charlotte. She is 15 years old, partially blind and deaf, and requires multiple oral medications daily as well as numerous potty breaks. I have additional oral/eye/ear medication experience as well as general medical knowledge through my day job as a pediatric nurse. Another cool fact is that during college, I briefly volunteered at a wild life refugee and got experience with horses, raccoons, deer, and other cool animals. Like I said- I’m a lover of all animals. I am hoping to offer my services as a way to be around more animals while respecting my cats’ wishes to not have another in the house. I would love to provide any additional details needed :) I will be working full time as a nurse but given that I only work 3 days a week I will have a lot of availability. The days I work do change each week but I will know in advance what days I will be working. I will do my best to earn an animal’s trust in a way that makes them comfortable, so that they feel safe in their own environment and trust me while I’m around. Whether that means an animal warms up to me right away or needs awhile along with some space before I come close to them, I can adapt to either scenario. I would also like to know about any general hiding places the animal may have when they get anxious so that if I am having trouble finding them, I know where to look. This would all be stuff I would like to communicate about with the owner ahead of time so I feel confident while sitting for their pet.
