About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats all throughout my life and enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and routine. Over the years I’ve cared for pets belonging to family, friends, and loved ones, including a wide variety of animals with wildly different temperaments, ages, and care needs. Most recently, I dog sat for my girlfriend’s three-legged rescue dog for over two weeks while her and her family were away for a relative’s college graduation. Because of the traumatic experience of getting a leg amputated, he is quite afraid of people (other than my girlfriend), so building a trusting relationship with him through patience, consistency and loving interactions was an extremely necessary and rewarding part in order for the two weeks we spent together to be a successful and positive experience for both of us! I also cared for my friend’s two rescue cats for three and a half weeks while he was away. My responsibilities included feeding them, providing fresh water, cleaning and scooping the litter boxes daily, cleaning up after them, spending time playing with them, and making sure they were over just happy, healthy, and comfortable throughout my friend’s absence. I understand that every pet is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special instructions. Whether it’s walks, feeding, administering basic medications, playtime, or simply providing companionship, I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own and I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away! I am currently looking for a full-time position, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to provide pet care throughout the day. I’m available mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and many holidays, and I’m often able to accommodate last-minute requests. I will always work to fit your pet’s normal routine and provide dependable, punctual, and attentive care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and any special care requests. About: What sets me apart as a sitter is my patience and my ability to adapt to each dog’s individual needs. I have hands-on experience caring for my own dogs as well as dogs belonging to friends and acquaintances while they were traveling. I am especially comfortable caring for senior dogs and dogs with cardiac conditions. I understand the importance of routine, close observation, and giving medications carefully and on time. I always follow the owner’s instructions in detail to ensure each dog’s health and well-being. I also have experience working with puppies. I know how to keep them engaged with age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors, while maintaining structure and safety. In addition, I have some experience with positive reinforcement training, focusing on patience, consistency, and encouragement rather than punishment. My goal is to provide calm, attentive, and loving care so every dog feels safe, understood, and well cared for. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I work remotely and manage my own schedule, which allows me to be flexible and fully available to meet each pet’s needs. I have plenty of time to provide attention, regular walks, playtime, and any additional care a dog may require throughout the day. I’m able to adapt my routine to match the pet’s usual schedule, whether that involves frequent breaks, quiet companionship, or more active moments. Most importantly, I truly enjoy the company of animals and value the time spent with them, making pet care not just a responsibility, but something I genuinely love doing. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets in my home. I always take the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and specific needs before welcoming them into my space. Pets in my care stay in a calm, clean, and secure environment where they can feel comfortable and relaxed. I closely supervise them, maintain consistent feeding and walking schedules, and make sure they always have access to fresh water and a safe space to rest. About: Hello, I’m Meg! I’m an originally from Buffalo, NY, but recently moved to Jersey City for work. Anyone who knows me can say that I am passionate about my love for animals and give the best care that I possibly can. I grew up with a miniature schnauzer, and I had a cat named Dobby who passed recently due to medical issues. I currently have a bunny named Hopper who is free roam in my home and loves to spend his days lounging around, playing, and eating hay. I have worked in a veterinary office before and am comfortable handling animals of all shapes and sizes. I have also been a foster and volunteer with animal shelter and rescue groups for over 10 years. This has given me insight to medical care and understanding behavioral cues from animals to ensure their health and happiness. My dogs are my super spoiled best friends, and I can’t wait to meet yours! About: I am new to Rover but I am not new to loving and caring for the best creatures this planet has to offer! There are genuinely not enough words to express my love for the beings that love us more than we could ever fathom! I have two cats currently and one of my babies is a senior cat I recently adopted at 9 years old. She has lung issues and I’ve been navigating taking care of her needs while showing both of my babies the attention they deserve. I also had a dog for 13 years before that and he was / will always be the love of my life. I currently work part time and go to school full time but my schedule is very organized and because of school I have the time to hang out with the fur babies while doing school work or finishing up assignments in between so it is a win/win! My care for any pet starts with love! When taking care of our dearest I assess what they need along with any specific instructions that were given. With animals you follow their lead and go with the flow that they give you. Not over thinking and just enjoying the furry friend I have the pleasure of spending time with really sums everything up.
