This was my first time using Rover.com. I had picked up my German shepherd, Evie, from a shelter in North Carolina last November. Based on her recorded condition when brought in as a stray 5 weeks before she had been through a rough period. She has fully recovered now and is in good health. My wife and I wanted to find someone to board her with where she would be happy when we're away. We identified a few possibilities at the Rover website and following a positive meet and greet with Nadjeska last week, had Evie spend the day with her yesterday. It went very well. Nadjeska sent us several texts with photos during the day updating us on Evie's stay. We were looking for a home where Evie could spend time with and play with other dogs and Evie made a new friend, Sparkles, Najeska's little dog. Nadjeska has a fenced yard which provides a safe place for them to run around in the fresh air. Evie seemed to enjoy the day, Nadjeska obviously loves dogs, and we will be repeat clients in the near future.

Sarah and Steve took such great care of our puppy! We are so happy that she was in such good hands while we were at work. Sarah is super friendly and nice to work with. She sent updates, photos, and videos, which put us at ease throughout the day. Our pup was excited to see Sarah, and came home very tired at the end of the day. We would highly recommend Sarah and Steve!

Truc watched our Russell terrier Ozzie for the day when we were in the area on vacation. Ozzie left happy and tired, and had a great time with her lab Calvin. Truc was very responsive and easy to communicate with, took special care to ensure Ozzie adjusted well, and even took him on a special adventure in town. Would highly recommend. Thank you Truc!

About: I will take care of your best friend with the same love I show my sweet Labrador’s. I will show patience and love with each of your dogs walks and make sure that they get all their business done, plenty of exercise and time for sniffing all the things as well. If I sit over night you will have to specify not to let them on the bed bc I will want to snuggle and make them feel at ease while you are gone. I will send pictures of your pet playing, relaxing and keep you up to date on if he/she used the bathroom and make you feel comfortable while away from your pet because I know it’s not always easy. I will be your best friends, friend.

About: I’m a homeowner, wife, mother and pet lover. I’ve been caring for pets since I was a kid, and I know how special they are to us. I love to go for walks, throw a ball, play tug of war, and give love and affection. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, sizes, and of all different demeanors. I’ve taken private training sessions, courses in puppy training, intermediate training, and adult obedience training. I’ve dealt with dogs who get anxious, and puppies that want to chew everything in the house. I’m comfortable with crate trained dogs, and those who want to sleep next to me in bed. I’m accustom to giving regular baths, and grooming. I thank you, for taking the time to read my bio, and hope you consider reaching out with any questions. I am a stay at home mom, who would really love to just get to know your pet, and build a long term friendship with them, so you will have someone you can trust for a long time. I am home attending to your pets needs, and making sure they feel safe and loved. My husband and I have a large fenced yard. I have one very sweet 2 year old schnoodle, who works with me to take care of children, whom have special needs, in our home two days a week. I also have two grown children who love to spend time with the dogs, when they are home to visit. We all love dogs, and we all contribute in caring for them. Throwing a ball, belly rubs, walks around the neighborhood and lots of love.

About: I have a close connection with a well-respected, professional dog trainer. I can usually get helpful tips and techniques on short notice, which I have used to successfully train puppies on basic commands (sit, stay, etc). I have 1 cat (2yrs old) who is neutered, indoor, and very shy. I work from home so I spend a lot of time caring for my pet which includes 3 mealtimes, plus play/enrichment time, and relaxing downtime each day. For dog care, I have a small fenced in yard and live in a nice area, so dog walks and outdoor potty breaks are very convenient at most times of day.

Throughout the stay, Mariana provided regular updates, including photos and videos, which really put my mind at ease. It was evident that my dog was happy, well-exercised, and receiving plenty of attention. I highly recommend Mariana to anyone in need of a reliable, caring, and professional dog sitter. Their service exceeded all my expectations, and I will definitely be booking Mariana again in the future!

Mary-Ellen took care of our blind Shih Tzu, "Peanut" for the day in her home this past weekend and was just AMAZING with her! She was so interested to find out all the little details ahead of time to ensure that they had a fun and comfortable day. Because of Peanut's special needs, my boyfriend and I are very nervous about leaving her with sitters, but after meeting Mary-Ellen, we felt sure that she would be in the best of hands. Mary-Ellen sent updates throughout the day along with several photos so I could see what fun they were having. Mary Ellen's home is adorable and sparkling clean, and as an added bonus, her daughter and Peanut really hit it off and had a wonderful time together. We would highly recommend Mary Ellen to others and will definitely book her again in the future.

About: Animals are a man’s best friend and I strongly believe in this proverb. I have volunteered multiple years for different shelters and agencies primarily with Dog Days; loving, caring and giving much vital attention to dogs in need. Fostering dogs has been one of the most rewarding experiences that may not pay in cash but the endless amount of love and the fulfilling feeling that leaves a mark on your heart making a dog feel loved and safe is priceless. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested in adopting a dog or becoming a dog owner to foster. I have helped nurtured dogs with behavior issues, training, and socializing, and I have also pet sat for creatures of all sizes from fish to horse. I have given medication to multiple animals and I am large animal rescued certified. I care for many of our special needs pets with ease because my kindness, patience and attention creates a bond that has pets loving me immediately. I am caring and compassionate to all of the pets in my care.

From the time I dropped him off, he settled right in, she kept in constant communication, was incredibly patient as he settled in. She is a loving caregiver, and I would absolutely book her again without looking anywhere else.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Guilford

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Guilford on Rover is $49.4 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 790 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Guilford. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Guilford commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 790 sitters in Guilford, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
