“Melissa took great care of our little Samgirl, who has some special needs as an elderly dog. She takes copious notes to ensure she has all the specific routines down pat. She is very friendly and genuinely caring. She went above and beyond with a couple of household cleaning tasks as well. We look forward to having Melissa back!”
“Jamie was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Pete, over the Christmas holiday. Not only was she great with Pete, but she also navigated a big snow storm and power outage with ease. We felt so at ease knowing that she was holding down the fort when we were out of state. She is a great communicator, left the house in immaculate condition, and even gave Pete a handmade Christmas stocking! We'd love to have her back.”

“Emma took excellent care of my small senior dog Stella. I was nervous to leave her but after meeting Emma I knew she would be in good hands. Emma had no problem giving Stella her medication and sent daily updates. I would highly recommend Emma for pet sitting.”

“Tasia was the perfect sitter for my fur family! Tasia and my dog had an instant bond, and Tasia's background with higher-needs pups gave me the confidence that my rescue Staffy would be in good hands. Tasia was communicative throughout her stay.”

About: Both Mariah and I have had numerous dogs in our houses ever since we were children. We are both responsible, pet-loving adults who strive to give our animals a good and comfortable life. Kyle works in the office, but is able to come home during lunch breaks. Mariah only goes into the office as needed. Kyle's workplace is only a 10-minute walk away from his home. We are happy to host dogs at our house, as long as they are friendly with our 2 year-old son, 5-year-old daughter and our 9-year-old dog. We have a fenced in backyard for pets to run around.
“Emily took wonderful care of our Fiona, providing plenty of updates to us while out of town and ensuring Fi kept the schedule that makes her most comfortable, including plenty of yard time, play, snuggles and naps. We’re so glad to have connected with Emily and will definitely reach out for future sitting!”

“Kourtney was absolutely wonderful with our animals. I got sent tons of photos, updates, and they asked questions when appropriate! Will 100% rebook and use in the future!!!!! Thank you so much!”

“Stephanie was great! She was a huge help when another sitter cancelled last minute. She took great care of our dog and home and communicated well through the experience. We would definitely re-book with her if ever needed! Thank you, Stephanie!”

“Thrilled to find Marcela the first time I used Rover. She sent great pictures of all three dogs who appeared to enjoy her company. I won’t hesitate to go away again knowing I have reliable pet care with Marcela in my home!”

About: I've been a small animal veterinary technician for more than 10 years. My specialty is senior care, including managing cats or dogs with diabetes or kidney disease. I previously had a cat-sitting business when I worked at The Cat Practice in New York City in the mid 1990s. Here in Maine, I have had occasional pet sitting jobs. I am also an experienced horse owner. I am currently working part-time, and can easily fit in visits to your furry friends. I am based out of Gray and will travel within 30-45 minutes of my home. I can also provide over-night care as well. For home visits, I will spend at least 30 minutes with your pet at each visit, if not longer. During that time I will play with them, take them for walks (if canine), or sit quietly if a kitty or older canine prefers. I will feed, ensure they have fresh, clean water, and maintain litter boxes if feline.
“From the moment Isabelle met our dog Maizie I knew that she was in good hands. Isabelle was kind and loving to to our animals and took great care of them as well as our house. She befriended the shyest of our cats which says a lot. We returned to happy pets and a house that looked just as we had left it. She also sent us many pictures while we were away. We are so grateful for such loving, competent care and will definitely use her again if she is available.”

“We would absolutely book Kayla again! She was incredibly communicative throughout, and from the photos she sent, it was clear our dog was happy and comfortable with her—his wagging tail said it all. Since he's not typically used to being around others, we were thrilled with how well he settled in. Kayla was also very accommodating to all of our requests. Thank you, Kayla!”

About: I’m Cody! I grew up with 3 dogs, and I worked at a dog daycare for over a year. I’ve done on and off pet-sitting and walking through craigslist and friends over the years as well. I have 2 cats and a rabbit at home, so I’m good with all different types of animals. I can do pet sitting, check ins, and walks. I have a car with a large backseat so I could also transport your pet to a park or a preferred walking trail if you’d like. I am available weekday mornings before 8am and afternoons after 4pm. My weekends are completely open! Thank you for considering me to hang out with your pets and I hope to hear from you soon! Cody
“Ashley was great. She was easy to communicate with and took great care of our house and our dogs while we were away for the weekend! We look forward to using her as our dog-sitter again in the future!”

“Lauren is professional and reliable! She is sensitive to all of our pets needs and took great care of them for 5 days while we were out of town!! I loved getting pictures from her showing our pets. We will definitely be scheduling pet sitting and house sitting with Lauren again!”

“Lily took on the task of housesitting and taking care of our two dogs, two cats, and a lizard for almost a full week. It was such a relief to not have to worry about our little circus while we were on vacation. She did a fantastic job and seems like a really good human on top of it. We would definitely recommend her and would not hesitate to rebook her in the future.”

“Elizabeth was an amazing pet sitter. She sent many many photos and texts regarding my animals while we were away. It was very comforting. I would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I’ve had pets (ranging from dogs and cats all the way to bearded dragons and bunnies) for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up around animals and I’m now making it into my career! I’ve worked at a dog grooming salon for the past two summers, pet sit for the last 5 years, and am now shadowing at a veterinary office. I’m excited to gain more experience with animals as I look towards applying to veterinary school. I’m working part-time three days a week as a dog grooming assistant and shadowing at a veterinary office on Tuesdays. I’ll be available to pet sit for most of the week for the entirety of the summer, before I head back to college. I’m very vigilant with my own pets on always being leashed when outdoors, unless in a fenced in yard. I’m especially careful around open and closed doors, as I know how sneaky pets can be sometimes!
“Nicole was great with my dog and my house! She communicated daily with photos and updates and my house was spotless when I returned, linens in the dryer and everything in it's place.”

“Celine was a very gracious sitter, taking her time with our pets and giving them the patience they needed while we were out of town. It was our first time having someone sit over and she's set the bar extremely high! Thank you again, Celine!”
