Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in a client's home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I know that pets are happiest when they can stay in a familiar environment, so I take the time to learn their daily schedule, favorite activities, feeding routine, and any special instructions before you leave. I am certified through Red Cross for Cat and Dog First Aid as well. Whether we're going on walks, playing fetch, enjoying cuddle time on the couch, or simply keeping each other company, I make sure every pet receives plenty of love, attention, exercise, and enrichment based on their individual needs. If your pet requires medications or extra care, I'm comfortable following detailed medical routines and will always keep you updated. I also believe caring for your pet means caring for your home. If I'm house sitting, I'll treat your home with the same respect I would my own by keeping it clean and tidy, bringing in mail and packages, watering plants, taking out the trash if needed, and making sure everything is secure while you're away. After each visit, I'll send detailed updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, comfortable, and in good hands. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet, a well-cared-for home, and complete peace of mind.

Information Alyssa B. would like to know about your pet

I love learning everything I can about a pet before their stay or visit! The more I know, the better I can make them feel comfortable and keep their routine consistent. Some of the most helpful things to know include their daily schedule, feeding routine, favorite toys and activities, any medications or medical conditions, allergies, leash habits, and whether they have any fears or anxieties. I also like to know how they interact with other people and animals, any commands they know, and anything that helps them feel safe and happy!

A typical day

Every pet is different, so I love tailoring activities to their personality, energy level, and what they're most comfortable with! It could be a game of fetch, long walks around the neighborhood, playtime with their favorite toys, enrichment activities to keep them mentally engaged, or simply relaxing with plenty of cuddles :) If owners are comfortable with it and we've discussed it beforehand, I'm also happy to take dogs on adventures to explore new trails, parks, or pet-friendly spots for some extra exercise and enrichment!

Trusted & Loving Care

Pet care experience

I've always had a love for animals, and being able to care for them is something I genuinely enjoy. As someone who works in the medical field, I understand the importance of trust, attention to detail, and treating every family member with compassion—including the four-legged ones! For the past two years, I worked for a luxury dog walking and pet sitting company in Washington, D.C., where I cared for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, personalities, and temperaments. Whether your pet is a playful puppy, a shy rescue, a reactive dog, or a sweet senior who needs a little extra patience, I'm happy to meet them where they are. Every pet is different, and I love taking the time to earn their trust and learn what makes them feel comfortable. I'm also comfortable caring for pets with medical needs. Because of my background in the medical field, I feel confident administering oral medications, eye drops, and ear medications for both dogs and cats. If your pet has a special routine or requires extra attention, you can trust that they'll be in great hands. Communication is incredibly important to me. For each visit or stay, I'll send detailed updates and plenty of photos! My goal is for you to enjoy your time away without worrying. I also have experience walking up to five dogs at once and am comfortable with everything from leash training to energetic pullers and leisurely senior strolls. No matter your pet's age, personality, or needs, I'll treat them with the same love, patience, and care that I would my own. If I'm staying in your home, I'll care for it with the same respect and attention that I would my own. I'm happy to bring in mail and packages, water plants, keep things clean and tidy, and make sure your home feels just as you left it. My goal is for you to return to a happy pet, a well-cared-for home, and complete peace of mind.

Alyssa is a tremendous animal lover, care giver and protector of animals. She loves dogs, all dogs (as well as cats and most animals in general). She is responsible, caring and truly enjoys cares for dogs, ensuring they are happy, safe, and feel secure and enriched while in her care. Alyssa has demonstrated years of responsible animal care, and cares for our 3 dogs regularly with such love and attention. She has administered medications for our pets numerous times, taken them to vet visits, and can handle multiple dogs at a time, including during walks with them. Dogs just love her. She is a mature and positive person who strives to ensure the pet parents are also kept informed regarding their pets as well. Thank you!

Alyssa was amazing with our dog! She gave updates and sent tons of photos and was very communicative throughout her stay. Not only did she look after our pup, she also made sure that our house was neat and well kept. Lincoln was in high spirits when we got back! Would definitely recommend booking Alyssa for her services.

Alyssa watched my pup Lincoln while we were away for a long weekend. She took amazing care of our boy, sending lots of updates and adorable photos throughout. We could tell he enjoyed his time with her and was well adjusted when we got back. She also treated our home with care, keeping things neat and tidy. We’d welcome her back any time!

Alyssa worked for my pet care services company for two years. I wish it was five. She arrived with a great set of skills being very perceptive and showing strong leadership with the animals. She only got better. There was no visit we did not trust her with. No medication too complicated no canine personality to big. She has a great eye for detail and is among the most reliable individuals who’ve I’ve had the pleasure to manage. You should hire her too. P.S She’s asking for far less than she’s worth.
