About: Who's a good dog? All of them. My step-dog is the love of my life, and I'm the person who talks to animals more than humans at a party. I have experience with: Dogs, cats, fish, rodents, horses, chickens, other birds, reptiles, and more. As a former field biologist, I handled a wide variety of animals and completed Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) training. I'm open to caring for almost any critter. “Already booked follow up walks! We had reached out to a few people to see about getting Brinkley a regular Saturday walker. One of my top choices messaged back and said she was out of town for a couple weeks but Riley was staying at her place and could pick up the ones until she is back. Riley came by and hung out with us and Brinkley for 20-minutes before the walk! He is a shy boy who takes some time to warm up and she was so great with him. It was crazy cold that day and Riley had zero hesitation -- and she was engaged every second... even longer than she needed to! We've had a couple of bad walker experiences as of late (either ignoring our one non-negotiable rule which almost ended in tragedy or taking him to the park and sitting with him for long periods of time, so he didn't get any exercise), so Riley was a breath of fresh air! Brinkley did very well with her and came back as a tuckered out, super cuddly pup. Couldn't ask for anything more! I've already confirmed Riley for walks for the rest of the time she's in town.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life from senior cats/dogs to kittens/puppies. I have three cats of my own and two family dogs. I treat every animal like I would my own. I’m currently on summer break from my paraprofessional position. With that, I have a lot of extra time on my hands that I would love to fill with sweet and adorable pets. I follow plans and instructions that have been provided to me meticulously and with great care. I unfortunately have two cats at home that are not fond of other pets staying over. I provide trustworthy, compassionate care and regular updates while you’re away! I volunteer at Midcoast Humane, have worked with certified trainers and veterinary technicians, and have handled dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I use positive reinforcement and fear-free methods to form a long-lasting, trusting relationship with your dog. I am currently a full-time student with half of my classes online, so I have lots of flexibility for morning, afternoon, or evening care. I use fear free techniques to ensure your dog is confident and relaxed in my care. Slow, positive introductions and gentle care is my specialty. For large, strong, and high energy dogs, I will run and play with them to match their intensity! My goal at the end of my visit if for you to have an enriched, content dog.

My family and I have a full setup just waiting to accommodate a pup in need of a stay. We have animal beds, toys, A yard (not fenced in) with a chain run and lots of neighborhood to walk in! We also have a disabled/elderly person in the home with so much love to give to animals with a need for more affection and who can ensure someone is with your furry friend if we need to run an errand. We love a dog park or beach run if that’s what your pup is into (though I reserve field trips for more well acquainted clients), and our car is well equipped with baggies and h2o bowls to make sure any trip is safe and fun.

About: I have grown up with pets all my life, starting at the age of 7. My family currently has three dogs (one small and two medium) that I care for regularly. I am able to walk the three on a lease comfortably and have played a large role in training them. Although I prefer dogs, I grew up with a cat that I loved and cared for. My part time job is flexible, allowing Sat, Sun,Mon, Wed and Fri to have open availability. I am more likely to commit to requests that are received a few days to a week prior. I care for pets in their home by meeting them where they are at; literally and personality wise. With three dogs of my own at home, I am unable to watch your pet outside of their home. In caring for your pet in their environment it helps reduce stress and attempt to maintain any form of routine they have. I am considerate of multiple personalities and consciously make an effort to accommodate the pets needs. With dogs I have watched in the past, I attempt to give them familiarity with their routine, within mine and their comfort. I walk familiar roads/paths, feed them on their schedule (if possible) and attain to any of their needs. I will use any devices/ equipment you typically use and will prioritize safety outside the home (using leases, collars, etc.).
