“Jackie was awesome! Skye is a very unique dog - super protective of his family and his property. To have Jackie able to walk into the house on her own, put a collar on him and walk him was great. Hope to use her again!”

“Tonya did a great job of communicating with us , and treated Nala like her own. Book with her for a smooth and easy transition for your pet. We will definitely use her again !”

About: I grew up with big dogs and many cats and have a lot of experience with them! Family and friends have relied on me to walk, feed, and play with their pets while they are out of town or if they are behind on time. I am an animal lover and would love to keep your pet company while you’re away. I currently work full time so my schedule varies weekly! I would’ve to hep get your pups outside when I get home from work or before depending on my shift. Please reach out to coordinate! Not only will I walk you dog but I’ll make sure to give them lots of love and more than just a bathroom break! I’ll make sure to get the energy they’ve been saving all day out.
About: Hi! My name is Brooke, and I have a lifelong love for animals. I grew up caring for both dogs and cats and currently have dogs of my own. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities, from playful kittens and puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone keep them company, I’ll do my best to follow their routine and give them the care they deserve. I have experience caring for large dogs, reactive dogs, senior pets, and cats with different personalities and needs. I am also comfortable giving oral medications and injections/shots when needed, following your pet’s care instructions carefully. I offer dog walking and drop-in visits for both dogs and cats. During visits, I can provide fresh water, meals, potty breaks, playtime, medication administration, and plenty of love and attention. My goal is to provide dependable, loving care while giving you peace of mind that your furry family member is safe, happy, and well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🐾 Brooke Mathews, you’re pets new best friend :) My schedule is very flexible. I recently graduated high school and will be attending college locally at SMCC, where I will be studying Early Childhood Education. Since I will be commuting, I have availability throughout the week for drop-in visits and walks. Outside of school, I spend most of my time caring for my two German Shepherds, spending time with my two sisters, and enjoying walks by the water. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I love being active and spending time outdoors. I do my best to accommodate each pet owner’s schedule and will always communicate clearly about my availability. I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and trusted environment for every pet in my care. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or taking them out for a walk, I take the time to learn their routine, understand their needs, and build trust at their own pace. For dog owners: I am confident handling both large and small dogs, including those who may be reactive or require extra leash awareness. I focus on keeping walks safe, enjoyable, and tailored to each dog’s comfort level and personality while maintaining close attention to their surroundings. For cat owners: I offer drop-in visits for a time frame we discuss beforehand and will make sure your cat’s daily needs are met. Whether that includes feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, administering medication, or simply providing companionship, I make each cat feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. My goal is to provide dependable care and give pet owners peace of mind knowing their pets are being treated with patience, kindness, and respect.
About: Taking care of my two rescue dogs is what I enjoy. One is now 10 years old, and the other 16 years old. I have taken care of many other families and friends pets as well. They have always been extremely pleased with care provided. I hope to one day open and operate my own non profit dog rescue. Schedule is wide open as I am in transition between careers! I like to stay physical by walking, going to the gym and enjoying the outdoors. I follow the pet’s routine given by the owner and add in some extra love and attention! I’ve always been a trustworthy person to have in your home and I’m very good with pets, even the difficult ones.
About: I’ve owned cats and dogs for the last 20 years. Have also owned iguanas, turtles, ducks and cared for many others. Have experience with dogs of all breeds and sizes. Will love and care for your pet like it’s my own. No request to big or small or any animal that makes me to nervous. Currently work full time M-F but can do evenings and weekends. My schedule during the week changes daily so reach out and may be able to accommodate. Will follow all instructions to the T. Will treat all animals with love and compassion. Lots of experience with animals of all sizes and breeds.
“Craig is absolutely fabulous. He sent great photos and detailed notes about each walk. I have such a great feeling of calm knowing he’s taking care of Waylon.”

“Already booked follow up walks! We had reached out to a few people to see about getting Brinkley a regular Saturday walker. One of my top choices messaged back and said she was out of town for a couple weeks but Riley was staying at her place and could pick up the ones until she is back. Riley came by and hung out with us and Brinkley for 20-minutes before the walk! He is a shy boy who takes some time to warm up and she was so great with him. It was crazy cold that day and Riley had zero hesitation -- and she was engaged every second... even longer than she needed to! We've had a couple of bad walker experiences as of late (either ignoring our one non-negotiable rule which almost ended in tragedy or taking him to the park and sitting with him for long periods of time, so he didn't get any exercise), so Riley was a breath of fresh air! Brinkley did very well with her and came back as a tuckered out, super cuddly pup. Couldn't ask for anything more! I've already confirmed Riley for walks for the rest of the time she's in town.”

About: Experienced dog owner with 3 dogs. Two dogs are reactive/timid, one of which has allergies and pancreatic issues so I am familiar with pilling and dogs with special needs. I am currently a full time law student looking for something with a flexible schedule. I have availability in the morning, late afternoon, and evening as well as weekends. I think it’s important to be attentive to your animals needs, and also make sure to follow the rules of the house. Please let me know if you have any specific dos or donts for your pet!
“Kristina has been an excellent pet sitter and dog walker. I would highly recommend her for taking care of your fur babies. She responds quickly to communications and is very attentive. 10/10!”

About: I have two years of pet-sitting experience, mostly for family and friends, along with volunteer work at animal shelters. As a lifelong animal lover, I’ve always had dogs and cats, often multiple at a time. Currently, I care for 4 dogs and 4 cats, though when pet-sitting, each pet will be separated for their comfort and safety. I’m passionate about providing a loving, safe environment for your pets! I’m currently Working part-time, so i’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups. I’m mostly available on the weekends or anytime after 1 pm on weekdays! I have a fenced in back yard, outside of that a very large yard to play in. I have 4 dogs myself but they are gated off and will be on a different floor than any pet I am sitting. This will ensure all the pets are safe and comfortable. Your pet would be with me in our downstairs area with plenty of room to play inside and outside.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
