Dog Walkers in Durham, ME

About: I've been a small animal veterinary technician for more than 10 years. My specialty is senior care, including managing cats or dogs with diabetes or kidney disease. I previously had a cat-sitting business when I worked at The Cat Practice in New York City in the mid 1990s. Here in Maine, I have had occasional pet sitting jobs. I am also an experienced horse owner. I am currently working part-time, and can easily fit in visits to your furry friends. I am based out of Gray and will travel within 30-45 minutes of my home. I can also provide over-night care as well. For home visits, I will spend at least 30 minutes with your pet at each visit, if not longer. During that time I will play with them, take them for walks (if canine), or sit quietly if a kitty or older canine prefers. I will feed, ensure they have fresh, clean water, and maintain litter boxes if feline.

About: I have one year of pet-sitting experience, mostly for family and friends, along with volunteer work at animal shelters. As a lifelong animal lover, I’ve always had dogs and cats, often multiple at a time. Currently, I care for 4 dogs and 4 cats, though when pet-sitting, each pet will be separated for their comfort and safety. I’m passionate about providing a loving, safe environment for your pets! I’m currently Working part-time, so i’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups. I’m mostly available on the weekends or anytime after 1 pm on weekdays! I have a fenced in back yard, outside of that a very large yard to play in. I have 4 dogs myself but they are gated off and will be on a different floor than any pet I am sitting. This will ensure all the pets are safe and comfortable. Your pet would be with me in our downstairs area with plenty of room to play inside and outside.

“Already booked follow up walks! We had reached out to a few people to see about getting Brinkley a regular Saturday walker. One of my top choices messaged back and said she was out of town for a couple weeks but Riley was staying at her place and could pick up the ones until she is back. Riley came by and hung out with us and Brinkley for 20-minutes before the walk! He is a shy boy who takes some time to warm up and she was so great with him. It was crazy cold that day and Riley had zero hesitation -- and she was engaged every second... even longer than she needed to! We've had a couple of bad walker experiences as of late (either ignoring our one non-negotiable rule which almost ended in tragedy or taking him to the park and sitting with him for long periods of time, so he didn't get any exercise), so Riley was a breath of fresh air! Brinkley did very well with her and came back as a tuckered out, super cuddly pup. Couldn't ask for anything more! I've already confirmed Riley for walks for the rest of the time she's in town.”

About: Experienced dog owner with 3 dogs. Two dogs are reactive/timid, one of which has allergies and pancreatic issues so I am familiar with pilling and dogs with special needs. I am currently a full time law student looking for something with a flexible schedule. I have availability in the morning, late afternoon, and evening as well as weekends. About: I’ve grown up with dogs since 2014 and have been actively caring for them since 2015. I love both cats and dogs and am very familiar with playtime, feeding, and bedtime routines. I have a flexible schedule at my full-time job. So I would have to compare my schedule to make sure I have your pets care as a priority. About: I have constantly owned animals of every sort. Growing up i had dogs, cats, and chickens. I have worked for a local dog service in my town as well as walked dogs professionally for 2 years. I work a M-F 7-2! So at max your dog is never alone for more than a normal work day. I also ensure a walk happens before I leave, if it cits the dogs needs. I recently moved into an apartment that does not allow dogs, so I am doing house sittings only. I hope to expand that space to accommodate more in the future.

About: My love for animals, especially dogs and cats, is so apparent that I have requests for taking care of friends animals very often. About: I’ve been talking care of all types of dogs since I was 10. Started small with just family and around the neighborhood but as I got older I’ve had many people ask for me to pet sit or just bring their dog for a walk. Give their animal some love! I’m currently working a part time job and enrolled in college for nursing so college breaks and holidays work best for me. Although, come summer I will be able to have more flexibility due to not being away at college. Always wanting to get exercise and play with animals so if walking your dog or checking in is what you need then I’m the perfect person for that. I have an invisible fence that my puppy Lola uses. She is super friendly but very vocal. I’m in a safe neighborhood where animals are well loved. My backyard is huge with lots of space to run and a great pool that my dog loves to swim in. If we are at your home then I will make sure I am aware of the surroundings before so I can best accommodate for the safety of both myself and the animals.

About: I've had cats my whole life.. they make life better and it's a big responsibility as well. I have taken many older cats in from the shelter and they had great lives with us. Would love to babysit your kitty or dog. I have 3 cats in my home and I've had many kittens and elderly cats. We have a catio and many toys to entertain your kitty. Catio, toys, food and love! I can give meds as needed as well, or special foods. I can also go to your home for visits.
