About: I’ve grown up with dogs, cats, ducks, horses, and chickens. My love of animals runs deep starting with my first dog, Duke the English Shepherd. I’ve always been a care taker and I’d love to provide kind and reliable care for your pets. I’m currently working part time, so I am wide open seven days a week! Very flexible with any time of the day that is needed for your pet. I treat other’s homes and spaces with respect and treat all pets like they’re my own. When caring for a pet, I provide exercise, enrichment, and very good ear scratches.

Lisa N.
“Lisa, my rescue 5-year-old corgi-Jack Russell, and I were housemates for a few months, so I saw her love and care of dogs daily. She was always very careful, kind, and attentive to Spock, even when she was working from home. She was solicitous, refilling his water bowl when it got low and I didn't notice, and a confident loose leash dog walker when she'd offer to take Spock out. She'd always check with me if he could have treats, and did basic obedience with Spock when dishing out the cookies (sit, lie down, etc.). When we'd go for walks-- and Lisa walks a lot, a higher energy pooch's dream parent!-- she was always patient with Spock's frequent marking and sniffing stops, and she kept an eye out for potential chewing/choking hazards (dead crabs! deer scat!) on the sidewalks and trails. I was always shocked and delighted that even when Lisa was in a hurry to get somewhere, she'd dash across the street to give my neighbor's 1 year old Golden Retriever, Lucky, some playtime and belly rubs, since he's frequently out in his Invisible Fence looking lonely. Lisa is also a regular pet sitter for two of her friends’ dogs up the coast and talks of both of them fondly. She’s an amazing pet caregiver to dogs of all shapes and sizes and is also familiar with cat-dog siblingships from her many years with a big dog and two cats. Although I didn't know Lisa when she had Bella, the beloved golden/lab mix and Good Girl who passed away two years ago after a good long life since puppyhood with Lisa, I've been fortunate to hear many stories about Bella's upbringing and life with Lisa, and privy to the videos and photos Lisa made of Bella and keeps on her phone and prominently displayed in her home. Bella was introduced to neighborhood dogs, cats, and humans, and greatly beloved by all, so much so the neighbors had a framed photo of Bella in their hallway! I credit some of this to Lisa being a doting, responsible, and generous dog mom. Lisa was so devoted to Bella that she contracted integrative medicine practitioners in addition to conventional veterinary care to ease Bella's pain when she got sick and help her to have the best end of life possible. Trading stories about obedience school, crate training, potty training, food and treat types, grooming, and daily life with Bella compared to my own rescue dog, I'm completely convinced Lisa is a caring, responsive caregiver who builds in plenty of structure, healthy boundaries, socialization, play, love, and snuggle space using her years of knowledge. Lisa is a bona fide dog person who understands safety and love. She would have done anything for Bella from 8 weeks old to her end and beyond, and I'm sure will do anything to build the best, healthiest, longest life for the next dog who comes into her life through Rover or otherwise.”

Danielle O.

“Danielle was great with Lincoln. She sent updates every day, handled his reactivity well, and is easy to communicate with!”

Abigail M.
“Abigail is fantastic with dogs. She has a very calm demeanor and dogs are drawn to her. She can be stern when necessary but she is very loving with all animals. She is punctual, polite and reliable. I would highly recommend her.”

Cheryl H.

“Cheryl was so kind to accept my last minute request and to kindly and reliably administer oral medication to my cat while I was away on vacation. She went above and beyond to ensure my cat’s comfort and healing while I was away. I would absolutely reach out again to watch my kitties while I’m away.”

Eliot J.

“Eliot was great! Our furry friends were well taken care of and were in great spirits when we arrived home. It was wonderful to have a trusted sitter watch over our pets and house while we were away.”

Thomas P.
“To whom it may concern: Thomas is one of the most responsible people i know who is always on time and very detail oriented. He will treat anyones pet as his own. He will make sure your pet is happy and having fun all day. He loves entertaining them and hanging out with them. I trust him with my own pets and whenever i came home they were always happier then when i left.”

Rachel P.
About: I’ve taken care of many different types of dogs throughout my life. When I was still in school I would watch my neighbors dogs and now I have three of my own! I still watch dogs for my friends but would like to extend my reach since I love doing it so much! I work remotely from home and have a pretty flexible schedule because of that. It also gives me a lot more time to spend with your animals. I have a fenced in yard so I prefer them for potty breaks, but I also have experience taking reactive dogs on potty break walks as well.

Matthew E.

“First time using Rover. We have older pets and wanted someone to care for them in our home. Matthew was a perfect match. Pets bonded with him right from the meet and greet. He kept us updated every day during his stay. Can’t say enough positive about Matthew. Would definitely have him care for our pets again.”

Jessica P.

“I can’t recommend Jessica highly enough. She is trustworthy, showed total confidence and competence caring for our bossy bully breed, and sent us lots of photos. After some challenging situations at boarding facilities, it was such a relief to find her and I look forward to having her watch our dog again.”

Thomas L.

“Responsible, thorough, neat and most importantly kind dog sitter. Totally trusted him with the pack.”

Kelly F.
“It's clear that Kelly is an experienced, empathic and loving caregiver and teacher at her core. You would be fortunate to have her provide care for your pet. She's reliable and a great communicator!”
