About: I've been a small animal veterinary technician for more than 10 years. My specialty is senior care, including managing cats or dogs with diabetes or kidney disease. I previously had a cat-sitting business when I worked at The Cat Practice in New York City in the mid 1990s. Here in Maine, I have had occasional pet sitting jobs. I am also an experienced horse owner. I am currently working part-time, and can easily fit in visits to your furry friends. I am based out of Gray and will travel within 30-45 minutes of my home. I can also provide over-night care as well. For home visits, I will spend at least 30 minutes with your pet at each visit, if not longer. During that time I will play with them, take them for walks (if canine), or sit quietly if a kitty or older canine prefers. I will feed, ensure they have fresh, clean water, and maintain litter boxes if feline.

About: I’m Cody! I grew up with 3 dogs, and I worked at a dog daycare for over a year. I’ve done on and off pet-sitting and walking through craigslist and friends over the years as well. I have 2 cats and a rabbit at home, so I’m good with all different types of animals. I can do pet sitting, check ins, and walks. I have a car with a large backseat so I could also transport your pet to a park or a preferred walking trail if you’d like. I am available weekday mornings before 8am and afternoons after 4pm. I have knowledge in the field of puppy care elder care and medication administration orally and injectable. Have cared for many diabetic animals and know exactly how they should be cared for/medicated. Im an on call contract bus driver. My schedule can change frequently but im usually only gone for a few hours at a time. My schedule can be very flexible around your pets needs! I'll be sure to follow whatever your schedule/routine may be with your pets to the very best of my ability. “Last minute and amazing pet sitter! We had a different sitter all set up for about 3 weeks prior to a brief trip away—the hotel was booked, the theater and MLB tickets were purchased…transportation was all arranged……then the original sitter had to cancel the DAY BEFORE our trip started! We scrambled, and I put out several feelers for someone to watch our 2 Great Danes, who have some behavioral issues we’re ironing out. Amanda came to the rescue! Not only did she step up to the task of sitting for us, she came the night we decided to book (a day before she’d actually be sitting for us), so she could meet us and our pups….and she doesn’t live all that close to us, so that was pretty-well out of her way. She stayed with our ups and kept them happy—our biggest worry was that they might get in an argument with each other…..and they didn’t! Plus our shy guy actually ate while we were gone, which doesn’t always happen. We’re extremely happy with how everything went with Amanda helping us out!”

About: I have taken care of various different fur babies my whole life. From my grandma’s elderly diabetic cat, to many little baby kittens. Making animals feel safe and cared for makes me feel so fulfilled. I also have been bathing and doing regular grooming since I was old enough to understand how to.
