“Drew was really punctual and went out of his way to have a meet & greet with our pup prior to doing a Walking for us. Smidge is a sweet girl but a watch dog atvheart so she can be leery of new people. Drew started as a stranger to her and ended as a buddy. Would deffinately recommend Drew for your fur baby(ies). Attentive and kind. He treated the dog after her walk and as a bonus the cat who sauntered over for a treat too🤣”

“We needed a last minute dog-walker and Madison came to our rescue! She responded promptly and took our dog out on a nice, long walk in the park. We would definitely use her again!”

“Kaitie was awesome. Winston loved having a walk with her. She sent a video and pictures which was unexpected and such a nice surprise. Her communication is fantastic. I would highly recommend!”

About: I have had dogs in my life as long as I can remember. I love all kinds of dogs. I have a small chocolate lab (1 year) and a Lab mix (approx 3 years). My life basically revolves around them. I am now a retired teacher looking for something to do. Since I love dogs and people need help with their dogs I figured I can do that and still love what I do. I am willing to come walk and play with your dog. Board your dog at my house, as long as out dogs get along. I would prefer dogs that are crate trained but if they are not we can discuss. I can come pick up your dog and take it to doggie day care and go pick it up and bring it back. Im pretty flexible. I worked with Hartmans Haven dog rescue as a foster and have had many different types of dogs in my care. I have had senior dogs and dogs recovering from surgery. I am happy to help. I love puppies and Seniors!! I have no experience on Rover.com but I have been taking care of my friends animals for many years. I can be chill and just sit and snuggle or I can take your dog for a walk. I love to throw the ball and play tug -o-war. Just let me know what you need. As of now I am at home most of the time the day. I am currently looking for part time work. I am usually up by 9:00 if I don't have anything to do. My dogs get me up by 7:00 most mornings. My dogs go out when they get up and come back in for breakfast. When weather is good they go outside and play. I often take them to day care to get them socialized. I do have a few side gigs Im working on but for the most part my schedule is flexible. The day usually ends by around 10;00pm I do not have a fenced yard yet. I am working on that. I would be leash walking your pet. My pets are crate trained when I am gone and out when I am home. They have dog beds to lay on but prefer the couch and chair. They sleep in my bed. If your dog is crate trained I have space for that based on their needs. My two dogs are dog friendly but I always want to do a meet and greet first. I am able to follow your in home routine as requested. If I have concerns I will ask you before accepting.

“Iliana took great care of our dog while we were away! She was even available to drop back in when we were unexpectedly delayed getting home. We'll book her again for our future pet sitting needs!”

About: With over 40 years of experience caring for animals and people—including work as a veterinary technician and a retired CNA/caregiver—I provide dependable, detail-oriented care you can trust. At Denney’s Den, dogs enjoy doggy Airbnb-style stays in my home- a calm, cozy, low-stress environment where they’re treated like family and given personalized attention while away from their hoomans. I also offer drop-in visits in your home, ensuring your pets receive consistent, compassionate care in the space they’re most comfortable. Since retiring from healthcare, caring for animals has become my full-time work. I am home most days, allowing me to provide hands-on attention, supervision, and a calm, structured routine for the pets in my care. My home offers a calm, safe environment with a large fenced yard and two friendly dogs. I intentionally limit the number of boarding dogs so each pet receives personalized attention. Crating is used only if preferred by the owner. For drop-in visits, I take great care to respect your home while ensuring your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine.

I work hybrid so I have a lot of free time to care for my own pets these days, as well as for others pets. I have very friendly dogs that could play with your fur baby! I love to play with frisbees or various rope toys. I have water bowls, leashes, everything a pet may need.

About: I have been a dedicated animal lover for as long as I can remember, beginning my journey at age twelve with a neighborhood dog-walking business. Having owned both dogs and cats for most of my life, I am comfortable with breeds of all sizes and temperaments. I recognize that every dog is unique; for instance, my own Boxer’s love for "tug" has certainly kept me on my toes and built my strength! While I am confident in my ability to bond with almost any animal, I prioritize transparency above all else. If I ever feel I am not the perfect match for your pet’s specific needs, I will communicate that immediately to ensure the safety and well-being of your dog. Professional Availability & Approach: I have recently moved back to the Hickory area and am open to taking on new clients. I prefer to discuss your specific needs and expectations upfront to ensure we are a mutual fit for a successful partnership. My philosophy is that a walk should be much more than a bathroom break—it is a vital source of fresh air, exercise, and mental stimulation. Whether your dog loves playing with a favorite toy or requires consistency with basic command training, I am happy to integrate those needs into our time together. I look forward to meeting your pet and building a meaningful bond. I have open availability right now! I am ready to take any dog or cat and meet with new clients we my availability has opened . My approach to drop-in visits is centered on environmental continuity and specialized feline safety. About: Hi! I’ve been pet sitting for about 5 years, starting with walking neighborhood dogs and growing into house sitting and boarding. I’ve also had dogs my whole life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’m experienced with different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I always make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or sticking to their routine, I treat every pet like my own and give them plenty of attention and care! I’m a college student with mostly online coursework, so I have a flexible schedule and am home often. I also care for my two fur babies daily, so pet care is already a big part of my routine! I’m available most days, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, calm, and loving environment where pets can feel at home. I have two friendly dogs of my own and always make sure introductions are done safely and at a pace that’s comfortable for everyone. Since I don’t have a fenced yard, I keep dogs active and engaged with regular walks around my neighborhood and supervised time outside. I always follow your instructions closely, stick to your pet’s routine, and provide updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away!

About: I’m a dog owner of a 4-year-old German Shepherd with epilepsy and an 8-year-old Beagle. Caring for my Shepherd has given me hands-on experience administering medication on a consistent schedule, monitoring for seizures and staying calm and responsive if one occurs. My dogs are also decently trained, so I’m comfortable reinforcing basic commands and maintaining structure. Having two completely different types of breeds also gives me experience with a different energy level and the attention to both of their different needs. Together they’ve taught me how to balance exercise, rest, mental stimulation, and individualized care for dogs of different sizes, ages, and temperaments. Being a military veteran I am also reliable, and consistent. I have lived with dogs all of my life and love meeting all kinds of different breeds. I’m happy to follow your routines closely, send regular updates and photos, and provide the calm, consistent care that helps dogs feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m currently on terminal leave from the military and will be starting my graduate program soon, with classes only on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This gives me a flexible schedule with plenty of free time on the other weekdays, evenings, and weekends. I’m available for sitting, and walks most days and can easily adjust around my class times to provide pet care. I’m experienced with dogs of different sizes and temperaments and will follow your routines, medication needs, and any special instructions closely. I can crate when needed and always prioritize supervision, safety, and lots of positive interaction so your pup feels comfortable and well cared for.

I can sit for a few types of pets including cats, dogs, reptiles, fish, as well as house sitting with basic household tasks. Willing to help as often as needed. I am willing to accommodate for special needs. I love to go on runs, so dog walking is right up my alley. Caring, loving and fun your fur babies will enjoy time and time again. Contact me if you have any questions. Thank you. I currently work in home with clients from 3:30-6:30 M-F. So I am not available for Pick Up during this time. Ask any additional questions as needed. In my client’s home, I strive to maintain their normal schedule by providing fresh food and water, daily walks, exercise, playtime, medication administration (if needed), litter box or yard cleanup, and plenty of affection and companionship.
