“Matt was great! He came and met us the day before our walk/drop in, it was nice knowing he would know exactly where everything was and what to do. During the drop in he sent updates and pics! We will use him again. Thank you again, Matt!”

“Simply put Alexandria is awesome! She was very prompt in replying to my initial inquiry for walks. She was prompt and very personable for “our meet and greet” to go over my pups routine. She also”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience and calm, confident approach to pet care. I grew up caring for a German Shepherd and, starting at 16, three bulldogs—so I’m comfortable with big personalities, strong breeds, and all the drool that comes with them! I’ve also dog-sat for friends and taken their pups on regular walks, including those with anxiety or special routines. I’m patient, observant, and always make sure pets feel safe and loved while their humans are away. Whether your dog needs a running buddy, your senior cat needs a quiet companion, or your anxious pup just needs someone who understands—I’m here. I’m a morning person with a flexible schedule. Avid runner so can work with high energy dogs. I’m also available for evening walks and check-ins—perfect for pets with routines or extra energy. I’m able to provide more schedule details. I prioritize comfort, safety, and trust. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality and routine—whether that’s quiet companionship for cats or daily walks and play for dogs. On walks, I stay alert and avoid unfamiliar dogs unless I have permission to interact, always keeping your pet’s safety first. For cats, I create a calm, low-stress environment, keep their space tidy, and respect their boundaries.

About: I’m fully insured through Pet Sitters Associates and certified in Red Cross First Aid/CPR, so you can relax knowing your pets are in safe hands. I’m dependable, attentive, and will keep you in the loop with plenty of photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away without worrying. You can count on me to show up on time, follow your instructions, and give your pets the care and attention they deserve. What sets me apart is the warmth and attention I bring to every animal in my care. I’ve worked with animals of all sizes and personalities, including seniors and anxious pups who need a little extra love and patience. Most pets settle in with me quickly because I take the time to understand what makes them feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I’ll play with your pet, stick to their routines, and treat them with the same care and respect you would. Your pets will be in loving, capable hands. My long-term goal is to open my own pet rescue. I’ve cared for pets of all personalities for years, and Rover lets me keep doing what I love while also saving toward that dream. Every booking supports my future rescue and gives me another chance to provide top-notch care to pets right now. NEW PET PARENTS ONLY: Get $20 off their booking with promo code YENAO21940 I work full-time from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility to provide care throughout the day. I can usually adjust my schedule around your pet’s routine and am used to balancing work with walks, feeding, and check-ins. That said, I do have occasional heads-down work time or virtual meetings, and I may step out for errands, food, or other appointments. It’s helpful if your pet is comfortable being alone or relaxing independently for up to 6 hours, but I’m happy to talk through what kind of care setup works best. It's important to me that your home feels cared for while you're away, and I do my best to make sure I leave it the way I found it. The more instructions you give me for what you'd like to see in your home, the more I'll be able to do for you during the sit! I'm also fully insured through Pet Sitters Associates and Red Cross First Aid/CPR certified, so I'm well prepared for any accidents or emergencies.

About: I grew up in a household with two dogs and two cats, one of whom grew to a very happy old age. Hence I have experience handling puppies from 6 weeks old to senior dogs. This includes reinforcing healthy potty training behaviors, teething behaviors, oral and topical medication applications, light grooming, and playing. If you're looking for a sitter who has a flexible schedule, loves playing with puppies, is a pet photo junkie, reliable, and trustworthy--then look no further! Please send a message to request a booking today! I work full-time from home and am looking for a side hustle (*COUGH cough getting a heavy dosage of fur baby cuddles) to enrich my day-to-day. With the exception of a couple of days a week I am usually available weekdays, and with special notice I can be available on weekends. Pet visits: I'm based in Emeryville off of San Pablo and am open to visits in Oakland and Berkeley. My main mode of transport is bicycle so anything farther than a 3 mile radius would not be ideal, but still possible as long as we communicate. Extended pet sitting requests (over one hour) are doable as long as there is wifi for me to work with. My ideal window for requests is to be made 24 hours in advance. When you book with me, you book with the promise that how I find your home will be how I leave your home. Pet boarding: I live in a townhouse with stairs, a fenced front yard, and a fenced balcony patio with plenty of room for your pet to roam. The neighborhood where I'm at is conducive for pet walking and the environment is quiet and peaceful. Depending on the request we can map out a cadence of pet updates, photos and videos, as well as other tasks (such as medications, play, feeding, etc). Boarding requests need to be made one week in advance, and cancellations made 48 hours in advance. When you book with me, you are making a booking with the promise that your pet will be cared for and safe, you will have daily updates, and your pet is going home with you.

About: I was raised with a Doberman in my household. Then in my teen years I helped my dad train two black labradors. I have walked many family friends' dogs as well as done puppy training. I have a great passion for animals and graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors in Animal behavior. I would love to help take care of your pets and give them the enrichment they need for fulfilling lives. The best behaved dogs are happy, full belly, and tired dogs. Currently I am going to school at NHI which means most mornings for about 4 hours I will be in online classes. Lunchtime and mid afternoons are mostly free. As I have lived in the bay longer I have become busier be sure to confirm if you are comfortable with my schedule . I generally try not to leave any dog inside for more than 4 hours unless previously approved by owner. Depending on the home I will most likely try to keep the animal in sight at all times , or on leash unless otherwise specified by the owners.

About: I have taken care of dogs for friends and neighbors when needed and have my own doggy girl for 3 years now. I will love to take care of your family member as if it was mine! I am pregnant at the moment, so I will be fully available to spend time with them doing whatever they need to feel relieved, happy and entertained! I live on a first floor apartment/townhouse. Neighborhood is quiet and safe, with a nice area for walks. There's a playground near by with some green area for entertainment

“Joelle is AWESOME and I wouldn't be surprised if her schedule fills up quickly because she's so great with dogs. She's professional, warm and affectionate, attentive, punctual, confident, and responsive: everything I look for in the person caring for my pup Thumper. Thumper is 90 lbs and aggressive with other dogs but Joelle didn't hesitate. She uses the commands we learned in our training and it gives me huge peace of mind knowing I can relax while Thumper is under her care. Can't recommend her enough.”

“My dog loves Amber! She takes great care of him, leaves thoughtful notes on the app, and is easy to communicate with. My dog is a rescue and nervous of most people, but he loved her from the start!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats for over 12 years. I've grown up with 4 pitbulls whom I love and adorn all equally (and trained!). They're still living with my family but currently, I have a King Shepherd and a kitten. I'm very big on positive reinforcement training and making sure they get all the love and attention needed + exercise! I will be very attentive to any of your pets needs, and I am also very detail oriented. So no matter what your buddy needs, I've got you covered. Walking your dog or visiting your cat would be a pleasure and a chance for some more fresh air and exercise. I do this during my free time as my schedule has recently opened up (fully remote). I will love and care for your pet as if it were my own. Walks, feeding, playtime, hugging and potty breaks. Cats or dogs. I love them both. I will be very open and attentive in terms of communication so please let me know what you need/want!

“Sophie was very personable, kind, and patient with my sensitive and shy pup. I appreciated that she was understanding and happy to go at Juniper's pace instead of trying to get her to walk more than she felt comfortable.”

Alishba S.
“Hello! I was Alishba’s neighbor in the past and she helped dog sit for me many times! She has pets of her own and is a very kind and gentle owner and care giver. She knows how to handle animals well, and was great with my dog as well as other friends’ dogs. She would be great to hire as a dog sitter. She is also very respectful and kind and will make sure your pet is well taken care of.”

Yena O.
“Yena is genuinely one of the most thoughtful, reliable people I know — and that carries through in how she cares for dogs. She’s calm, observant, and always pays attention to the little things, which makes a huge difference when you're leaving your pet with someone else. I’ve seen how quickly dogs feel comfortable around her — even the nervous or high-energy ones. She’s the kind of person who’ll send updates without you needing to ask and make sure your dog is getting exactly what they need (plus a few extra cuddles). If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog with real care and intention, you won’t find better than Yena.”

Camphuong P.
“So I went on vacation for a week and needed someone to take care of my cat Boba. I asked Phuong to watch Boba for me and she did great job! Boba has a strict feeding schedule/diet and a lot of energy. I got plenty of updates and lots of pictures of them playing while I was away. Boba was very comfortable hanging out with Phuong. If I ever needed to leave for another trip I would hit up Phuong to watch over boba for me again.”

Lexa N.
“I’m happy to offer this positive testimonial of Lexa and the great care she shows our dogs. Lexa handles the dogs with care and respect while she exercises them, which often includes leash walking, loose running, retrieving and training. I would trust her with any pet and highly recommend her.”

Phil F.

“Phil is amazing and my crazy rambunctious puppy loves him! I can trust him with my pup with my eyes closed! Would recommend Phil with no reservations!”

Golden Gate dog parents share their Rover experiences
Hilary is very easy to work with and has great and prompt communication. She was able to gain some trust of my sensitive and shy dog in only a couple meetings. She's good at reading the situation and taking the time needed to build a connection with her, even staying a little longer to make sure it was smooth for my pup and her needs were met. Would definitely have her walk my pupper again.
