2. Juliana & Katherine Q.
About: Our pets are family. My approach is a balance of attention and simple structure that makes for happy socialization. My partner and I have always had cats and dogs and I have experience with everything from puppyhood to the special healthcare challenges of senior pets (including administration of oral meds and injected insulin) I used to walk dogs back in college as a part-time job. Now, I am excited to make some new 4-legged friends and get out for some exercise together. I work from home part-time and with a very flexible schedule. I do long walks in the morning and afternoon and, if staying with us, in addition to walks, your doggie will have full access to the yard during the day to sunbathe and play. If house sitting at yours, I will be on hand with your pet at a minimum in the morning, for a few hours mid-day, and then all evening and night. We have a large fenced yard and two small, friendly pups (9lb young female yorkie and 12lb female coton de tulear) to play with. "The girls" are not crated at night, but I am happy to set up your pup's normal sleeping area if staying with us. For dog walking, I do 30-45 minute adventures with priority given to clients located in Oakland's Laurel, Dimond, Maxwell Park, and Redwood Heights neighborhoods. Ideally, your dog loves walking with some friends, but we can customize for personal pup needs.

3. Emma H.
“Emma, is really one of the best pet sitters we’ve ever had. She is really professional and most importantly caring and loving towards our dogs. She is really in her element with animals as she is proactive about giving them plenty of attention and walks. We are so happy to consider her our primary go-to dog care taker. We’ve actually gone so far as to have her fly all the way out to our home in Hawaii… she’s that good!”

4. Nia G.

13. Jasmin A.
About: Hi! My name is Jasmin, I am 22 years old and live in Oakland, Ca. I have experience with dogs as I own one myself and most of my family own dogs themselves. I have experience with puppies, adults, small, and medium sized dogs. I’ve always had patience and sympathy for animals as they are also living creatures with emotions. From pugs to pitbulls I care for dogs as if they were all mine! I am currently looking for a side job and found this site which I think would be a perfect side hustle as I love dogs and have enough free time ! I also have my own car so mobility won’t be an issue. I live in a house with a backyard that has plenty of room and toys!! It is wooden fenced up so there’s no running away from this home ! All dogs are received with love as I understand how cruel the outside world can be to our fur babies.

14. Lilian v.

“Lilian is a great communicator, very reliable, and Zeke loved his walks with her! Thanks so much, Lilian! Looking forward to having you hang out with Zeke in the future!”

15. Ashley G.
“Ashley has watched my mini-dachsund Jobu four times since we moved to the area. She and her pup pals, Aubrey and Adonis, always provide such a welcoming home for him. Ashley goes above and beyond to give Jobu plenty of attention, care, play, and exercise; he is always so excited to visit his home away from home. You can tell immediately that Ashley loves spending time with every dog, and showers them with love and attention. It is so easy for me to leave Jobu in Ashley's care knowing that he is well taken care of. Thanks, Ashley!”

She takes pride in ensuring that she excels in every activity that she pursues and puts in the utmost love and care. If you want somebody caring, compassionate, and detail oriented, I would definitely recommend entrusting Shannon with your pet.”

20. Jason P.
About: Sorry to everyone in California, I will sincerely miss you all! I'm in Hattiesburg, Mississippi now! I used to be a cat guy, until.... I met & was in a situation where I bonded with my sister's dog: 'Flower' about 7 years ago. My father was ultra abusive with me. When I was 7, I had a tiny bit of fear of dogs. At my father's friends bbq one day, my father, knowing my fear of dogs, forced me to pet his friends German Shepherd, to "be a man!". The GSD bit me & since then I wanted absolutely nothing to do with any dog! That is until, as mentioned above, I was able to bond with my sister's dog Flower, & her unconditional love that was something that was missed in my life up until this point. From then on, I diligently, & definitely became a dog guy, my life was changed 180 degrees, & now devoting the rest of my life & career with dogs! I will love your dog as it were my own! I truly love dogs, & they have changed my life positively! So it's a must I return the favor! Just being around dogs is therapeutic. (*NOTE* my dog Edmond is my service/support animal in training & he is almost always with me. He is well behaved & was socialized very early, so he loves people & other dogs!) I previously groomed dogs at PetSmart, volunteered at the East Bay SPCA, so I understand basic behaviors & reading body language in dogs, walked/sat/boarded/daycared a total of over 700 dogs in less than 1 year! Now I amactively pursuing a career in training dogs professionally. I have experience in bathing & brushing, nail trim/grinds (I have my own equipment), anal gland expression, ear cleaning, & teeth brushing, & have experience in basic training. I value respect to the highest regard, & with respect, trust comes naturally. I am 45 years old, but still youthful! I look forward in having lots of positive experiences with your dogs! Thank you for reading this! I can do daycare any day of the week. I am able to board now up to 1 large breed dog, or 2 small/medium breeds. I love interacting with my dogs outdoors most of the time. I will of course, go over with my clients if they have specific instructions for their pets, & most likely if it's a sitting or daycare, we would be out having fun, safely!
