He went on long walks and received a lot of loving from both Julia and her husband. Mr. Taco also learned a new trick!! She taught him to lay down! About: I grew up with cats and have always loved animals, but dogs have my heart these days — I have a 4-year-old dog of my own. Due to a recent life change, I only have him with me a couple of weeks a month, and I miss having a dog around way more than I expected. That’s what brought me to Rover — I want to fill that gap by giving another pup the love and attention I’d normally be giving mine. I have hands-on experience with puppies as well as small to mid-size dogs. I live in a multi-family home in Silver Lake with a fenced yard, in a walkable neighborhood that’s great for daily walks and sniff breaks. I also have the flexibility to work from home, so when I have a dog in my care, I’ll be around at home. I’m flexible most days of the week. Since I have the option to work from home, I’m able to be with your dog all day. I live in a multi-family home with a fenced yard in a walkable Silver Lake neighborhood — great for daily walks and outdoor time. Before any dog comes to stay, I make sure to dog-proof the space, putting away anything they might be able to reach or get into, so it’s a safe environment from the moment they arrive.
“We booked Hilary last minute because our usual sitter became unavailable. We had a trip to Italy planned, and I was so stressed to leave Pebbles somewhere new while being out of the country, but HILARY WAS AMAZING!! We fell in love with the way she cared for Pebbles instantly. She had no problem with her feeding times, walks, crate needs, and even eye medication. She sent us SO MANY fun and cute pictures of Pebbles while we were out of the country that I felt super reassured. She was flexible with the pick up time (we know how LAX can be), and even willing to take an additional emergency contact while we were out of country. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for anyone kinder, more loving, or more communicative. I will definitely request her again, and I am so glad Pebbles found a temporary home there. There is no better feeling than coming back from a trip to find that your dog wants to stay and play some more - though it was sad to find out i was so easily replaced! Of course he was happy to see us but then pretty much went back to playing with the other dogs and then ran back over to Margaret to visit her. This was my experience when i came to pick up Snickers and this is definitely not always the case when i have had him stay elsewhere. Also, from what i can tell he seemed to have eaten all the food we had alloted and didn't seem especially hungry once we got home. All that to say that it points to him having a great and stress-free time. He was just tuckered out from playing so much :) This was our first stay with Margaret and I found her to be very responsive and clear in all our communications. Ours was a last minute request where we needed to go out of town for long weekend to finish up our move to LA. When our return trip got delayed, she accomodated a request to delay our pickup until the next day. She really removed all the stress of boarding our little pup . One the the perks of boarding with Margaret was the cast of playful dogs you might find in her shaded backyard/play area. She seems thoughtful in assessing how the various dogs will get along and has plans in place should any dogs need to be in separate areas. Mr. Snickers hasn't had a lot of opportunity to socialize with dogs since we moved so this was a real boon for us. Last point to add is that she regularly sent us updates with pix and videos so we had a sense of how it was going each day. In short, she does her best to make a home away from home for the dogs she cares for and I'd highly recommend her.
Karen and Mae took care of my dog Copper very well. Copper got lonely when I took him home . I think he missed Karen and Mae. My dog was clean, and well fed. And calm. I will definitely be back for Karen and Mae to take care of Copper! I recommend their services 100%. Thank You Karen and Mae!!!
Naomi is the absolute best. Our little one has issues that make him difficult but Naomi stayed with it. She was very communicative and was willing to work with our dog, zero. Naomi was in constant communication with updates and pics. Zero came back healthy and thats all I could have asked for. I would 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone i know.
Alberto helped me out so much! I had a last-minute trip and he was able to watch my boo, G. My flight schedule ended up getting completely messed up and I had to stay an extra day, and Alberto was so accommodating and offered to keep him one more night. On top of that, my baby looked SO happy and loved in every single photo he sent me. Alberto gave me updates, shared all the fun places they went, and really made me feel at ease the entire time. It’s always a little scary leaving your pup with someone new, but I never felt like I had to worry. I could tell G was getting plenty of love, attention, and cuddles. I’m so grateful for how well Alberto took care of him, especially with all of my last-minute travel changes. I would absolutely trust him with my baby again!
Manu: I had the best time of my life with Em and Taylor while my mom was gone for her trip. I had so much fun going on fun hikes and they let me chill and cuddle on their cozy couch. Can’t wait till my mom goes away on a trip again so I can go back to Em and Taylor’s place to hangout again!
Alexa was amazing and took such great care of my reactive dog! I’ve never left him with anybody because he’s a bit aggressive and not good with other animals, and Alexa made me feel so comfortable while I was away visiting family. Kept me posted on how he was doing 2x a day, always sent pics of him, and overall took such great care of him. Would rebook anytime service is needed, and thank you 10000x, Alexa!
