As a result I have experience administering meds calmly and peacefully. About: I grew up in a home with a dog, a cat, birds, fish, and rabbits. Throughout my life, I’ve opened my heart to many a pooch, including a beautiful epileptic Dalmation, a feisty pocket Shih Tzu (that one of my students brought to school in a backpack), an adorably lazy Bijon-Maltese mix who came to stay for a weekend and stayed 10 years -- and most recently a spirited 13 year old Terrier mix that we brought home after his person died unexpectedly. All were loved and doted upon until they crossed the rainbow bridge. The smaller ones vacationed by car, truck, and plane and were with us 24/7. I’ve often cared for my friends' dogs and am known for giving good doggy massages. I’ve also shared my space with an African Sulcata tortoise for the last 17 years. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I own a small business that allows me to come and go easily, allowing for long walks and/or lounging around. I have a fenced yard, leashes, bowls, a medium sized dog crate if necessary, lots of healthy snacks and lots of time for walks and doggie massages. In your home, I will care for your special friend as instructed. If your pooch loves toys, we will play, if snoozing is their favorite thing, I will happily sit nearby and chill too.

My living room is a reasonable size (1000 sqft), which is why I only board small to medium sized dogs; however, I work from home, so I’m always able to take the dogs out to get some much needed air, sun and exercise daily, so they don’t get too cooped up or bored indoors. I also always make it a priority to turn the AC and fans on at my place, so they can stay cool and comfortable at all times. Furthermore, I have used the Rover App before to have my own late cat boarded with a pet sitter on here, so I fully understand the comfort and the need for owners to have pet sitters send photos, videos and daily updates of their pets to them, therefore, I always make that a priority and I am more than happy to do that! About: Last year I said goodbye to my 17 year-old dog Max, just a few months after my cat Scotty passed away suddenly from kidney disease. Thankfully, Scotty's sister Star is still with me and thriving, but I really miss being around and caring for other animals. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs and the gentle care they require. I'm also very familiar with younger dogs of all sizes. And I've fostered a lot of cats - mainly kittens - which is how Star and Scotty originally came into my life. The cats and I eat our breakfast together, Babygirl gets her meds, and then just spend the rest of the morning lounging and relaxing. When the senior dog wakes up, he gets his meds and breakfast and then it’s walk time!! Lunch time the cats each get a little churu treaty, and they spend some time playing before afternoon naps. They basically bounce back and forth from silly time to deep sleep for the rest of the day, then it’s dinner time, walkys for Kenji the dog and more playtime, then bed. I am open to being around all animals and have been a devoted cat owner for over a year now. Kittie is very loving and minds her own business when it comes to other animals around. I can relate to the experience of having to leave your pet for someone else to watch. Don't worry, you will get constant updates and photos! My apartment complex has a private dog park for residents and is less than five minutes from beautiful Echo Park, perfect for walks, exercise, and boarding! As a person, I am honest, reliable, and loving. I understand the importance of detail and will follow any routine that you usually follow. I am currently enrolled in college, so my availability would work around a fairly flexible schedule. It would fill my heart to take care of your pup when you aren't available and give them all of the love they need!
About: Hello! In 2017 I met my first friendly street cat which sent me on a journey from “strict dog person” to “cat lady.” I have since adopted two cats, Bean and Raisin, and fostered more than a dozen adult cats and kittens. I also work closely with an organization doing TNR in my community--trapping neighborhood cats and spay/neutering them. I have a 2nd bedroom that I use as both my office and cat zone with toys if your cat needs his/her own space but am also a friendly home for a rambunctious cat. Bean is very passive and chill, while Raisin just wants to make friends and play. I’m a trusted cat mom and foster mom and will cuddle your fur babies just like you would if you were home with them! I know how important it is to a pet parent's peace of mind while away from their animal to know how they're doing so I always make sure I send pictures and regular updates. Please note that due to my cats, I only board other cats in my home—no dogs. And I only board one client at a time. Rover doesn't give the opportunity to specify this. I can do drop ins for other animals in your home no problem! I work from home and can occasionally have period of hiatus from work with lots of free time to dedicate to doing drop ins and being there for any boarding guests. I am very strict about indoors only for cats given my history with TNR. Also because I'm an experienced trapper, if somehow your cat escapes my care, I have the skills and equipment and knowledge to get them back for you. I don't leave boarding guests alone with my cats without supervision, even when sleeping, unless enough time has passed that I can trust them all together.

About: I’ve always been around dogs and genuinely love caring for animals. I’m attentive, responsible, and understand how important routine and schedules are when caring for pets. I also have a very friendly, playful labradoodle who loves making new friends and would be excited to have some company during stays and playtime. I work from home full time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily and weekly routine. My flexible work schedule setup also allows me to give dogs plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship during their stay I do my best to maintain their usual routine to help them feel comfortable while their owners are away.
