My entire life, I've loved dogs and either had a dog, lived with a dog, or cared for the dogs of other people in my life. - Growing up, we had (2) Labradors (and 4 cats). I also drove my family nuts asking to pet literally *every* dog we passed on the street. - In college, I helped care for my friend/housemates' 2 cats. - Throughout my 20s, I was co-parent to my friend/housemate's dog, a sweet pitbull mix, and my then-boyfriend's dog, another sweet pittie who was also very very elderly and needed special care. - Now, I have my own dog: Murphy, a 5.5 year old Golden Retriever, female who I raised from 8.5 weeks old. She universally gets along with other dogs -- she has a remarkable instinct for calibrating her energy to other dogs: she's super gentle with elderly dogs, shy-but-friendly dogs, & puppies; she'll roughhouse with those who want to; and if they're disinterested, so is she. - For a decade+ i've been the go-to friend to dogsit for anyone, anytime - because 1. I love dogs, 2. they love me, 3. I'm experienced & understand the care involved, and 4. I have a great house/setup for dogs: a lovely big yard, enclosed with high fences, where I spend most of my time so I can supervise (even with high fences, dogs will always be supervised in the yard, to be extra safe).

My Murphy had such a good time with Jenica and her dog! She did a great job with him, and he loved seeing me but didn’t want to leave!!! Got plenty of updates and pics of my boy through the stay and great communication!!

Jenn was absolutely wonderful, and Moose clearly loved his stay with her. From the moment I picked him up, it was obvious he was happy, relaxed, and well cared for, which says everything. Jenn was attentive, kind, and genuinely caring, and it showed in how comfortable Moose was with her. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands, and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book with Jenn again or recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent, trustworthy sitter.
Jenica was SO wonderful! I immediately knew my dog was in good hands, her home was great. A fenced in yard in a good neighborhood matched with her I knew Frankie would have fun and be safe. Murphy was also so cute and playful, I’m glad they got to play and have fun. Thank you again, see you next time!
Jenica is the BEST pet sitter! She is responsible, attentive, and genuinely loving with animals. She showers my golden, Gremmy, with love and affection. My dog adores Jenica - she goes nuts and jumps all over her as soon as she comes to the door (naughty, but telling). When Jenica watches Gremmy, I have complete peace of mind knowing she is not only safe and cared for, but truly loved. Any pet would be lucky to spend time with Jenica, and any owner would be lucky to have her care for their animal. Bonus: Jenica's own golden, Murphy, is the sweetest dope and very patient with my younger, high-energy pup.
Jenica is an animal lover through and through. She has taken care of my dogs multiple times and I always feel safe and at ease knowing my dogs are under her care. She is attentive to their individual needs as well as my needs as a pet owner. She communicates very well and sends frequent updates and reassuring messages. One of my dogs has seperation anxiety and she is very attentive to his anxiousness until he settles in and acclimates. She is a reliable, enthusiastic pet sitter that I would highly recommend.

Schedule
I freelance (work from home) part-time. I have a very open/flexible schedule, and can generally pet-sit during weekdays at my home, overnights, and weekends. Because i'm only part-time, I take my dog on multiple walks per day and 1 park outing (silverlake reservoir or laurel & hardy park). Generally I'd need to sit at my own home - but if you are local to Silverlake or surrounding areas, I can drop by for mid-day walks etc.

I have a great yard, big & enclosed with HIGH fences. I have my own 5.5-year-old golden retriever, Murphy, to keep your pup company. She's the sweetest. I live in a great neighborhood in silverlake for going on nice long walks, including to nearby Laurel & Hardy Park and Silverlake reservoir/Silverlake Meadows. I have plenty of indoor space for a crate, if needed/desired - and 2 bedrooms so they can be crated in the quiet 2nd room if needed. I have a go-to vet (Rivers Veterinary) just down the street that I take my own dog to.

A typical day
A typical day with me usually starts with a morning walk to get energy out, followed by morning meals for the pups. Throughout the day, pets get regular potty breaks, playtime & attention, water refreshes, and enrichment tailored to their energy level. Activities include long walks, toss-and-fetch in my yard, and outings to nearby parks like the Silver Lake Reservoir and Silver Lake Meadow, as well as slower sniff-walks for dogs who prefer a gentler pace. Evenings wind down with dinner, light play, and cozy rest time. My priorities are safety, consistency, and comfort for all dogs in my care.
