Such a good sitter. She even took my dog to run around multiple times which is something I can’t do. Cielo was very knowledgeable about Piccolos breed and did so good with him. I definitely will be booking again!

First time booking wirh Michelle. She lives in the same town, has all kinds of pets & loves cats. We scheduled a meet & greet to learn what the pets needed. I appreciated that very much. Michelle took fed & watered & took photos of my outdoor cats and also tried to have cuddle, offer affection & pet them time as booked, but cats werent used to her. I thanked her for trying. Good experience and very reliable.

Becca was amazing! She agreed to three drop-in visits with less than 24 hours notice. She was on-time for every visit, followed the instructions we had left, made sure that both of our dogs were well taken care of and even spent some time with them. Everything went so well that we've asked Becca to be our regular sitter. ?

About: I've owned cats and dogs my whole life alongside rats, tarantulas, and snakes. Currently I have 3 cats ranging in age from 12years to 3 months. I'm longing for some additional interactions with doggies as I don't get that in my day to day. I'll love yours like they're mine I've recently resigned from my full time job and am looking forward to spending my time caring for animals instead of staring at a screen all day. I will ensure your loved one has water, food, and a clean environment. Their happiness and safety are my #1 priority. I wont just go through the motions, though. I will give them the love and attention in the specific way each pet needs

About: I’ve grown up taking care of both cats and dogs, including small and large breeds. I currently have a chocolate lab who I walk, feed, and play with every day. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and cats, and I understand the extra patience, attention, and care they may need. I love cats and am comfortable feeding them, changing litter, playing with them, and giving them lots of attention. I’m reliable, caring, and truly enjoy being around animals! I’m home from college until August 10th. I’m available all day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 AM–3PM for dog walking, pet sitting, and drop-in visits for both cats and dogs! I’m also available on weekends and am flexible with timing. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine to make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and safe. I’m always mindful, respectful, and responsible when caring for pets in someone else’s home. I make sure to keep a clean and safe environment, follow instructions carefully, and handle everything with care. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets and home, and I’ll always do my best to make both you and your pets feel comfortable and secure.

About: I grew up around dogs my whole life, thats how I learned responsibility. Helping my family take care of dogs feeding, walking, and training as far back as I can remember. Various breeds including dobermans, terriers (jack, pits, etc) Rottweilers, boxers, etc. I've also been the trusted person around town that family friends would pay to watch their dogs, including too many breeds to name! That started in my teens as soon as I could drive to the houses. Im now 32 with a year old pittie and an almost year old German shepard. I have trained both myself (not certified nor looking to train) but I take pride in building relationships with dogs. Any age, any breed, ill treat your pet with as much love and care as you can wish for! I've administered meds, dealt with social/separation anxiety and nothing scares me away to give the patience and time your pet deserves. I work full-time with a very set and reliable schedule. M-F 845am to 515pm. I can stop by both before and after work, for breakfast and stay longer after to ensure more playtime and care. If distance permits, can also stop by at lunch. Weekends are completely open for whatever you wish for your pet. I do have a fully fenced in back yard and both my dogs are friendly, although I don't offer overnight boards in my own home I will welcome weekend day care in my home. Otherwise, I have no issue with crate trained pups. You supply the rules and I will abide with your wishes when it comes to your own in home care.

About: For 12 wonderful years, I had the joy of loving my own dog, and for the past decade, I’ve been capturing the personalities of pets through photography even volunteering to photograph foster animals to help them find forever homes. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something I can’t imagine life without. Now, I’d be honored to give your furry friend the same love, attention, and joy I gave my own keeping tails wagging and hearts happy while you’re away. I currently work at a local middle school. I plan to offer pet services on days I am off work and our school breaks. Perfect for any vacations you have planned, I will be available. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I’ll follow your instructions closely, keep them leashed and secure during walks, and make sure doors and gates are always locked behind me. I’ll check food, water, and comfort levels at every visit — and send you photo updates so you can see their happy face while you’re away. You can trust me to treat your home and your pet with the same care and respect I give my own.

About: I have been a dog owner my whole life. I have always had a dog as a pet, and currently have one German Shepard named Salem. I am a stay at home mom, and would love nothing more than to care for your pet family! I worked at a humane society in Wisconsin for several years, and am familiar with basic dog first aid. My goal is to make your dog as comfortable and happy as possible in your absence. I am a stay at home mom, so I have all the time in the world for your animals! About: I am a pediatric nurse. I have close to 10 years of dog and cat experience through family pets and recently a diabetic dog named Dexter (has since passed away) I have experience providing oral and injectable medications for dogs. I work three 12-hour shifts per week but each week varies. However, I have flexibility in choosing what days I want to work. I'm typically up at 5am for work so if you need to drop your pet off early or need early check ins I'm available! I live in a single family home with wife. We have safety gates and crates in our home for when we have to step out of the house. I will separate our dog from other dogs if necessary. Food is always kept in a safe spot that no dog can get into. Our subdivision is surrounded by open fields so there are plenty of areas to walk. The backyard is large and fenced in. Fence does not have slats so next door dogs do not have a way in unless we want them for playtime. I walk our dog multiple times a day for potty breaks/exercise. I always walk our dog with a leash and will do so with other dogs. I love to snuggle and play with dogs and will do so with yours! I am happy to meet in advance to discuss any needs required and to make sure I am the best fit for your dog! As a dog parent I understand that dogs are a member of the family that require special care. I want to provide the best, stress-free care for your pup. I can check in as often as you request and will provide pictures and updates throughout the service.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,290 sitters on Rover offering Dog Sitting across Garden Prairie. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Garden Prairie stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Garden Prairie choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Garden Prairie with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Garden Prairie. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
