About: We currently foster a variety of different dogs through out the year. We are used to quirky behaviors, shy pups, and just getting dogs to become comfortable with us and our home. We are very adjustable to different dog personalities and requirements, and will be flexible with your needs, and how the dog reacts to us in our home or yours. We have owned many pets in our lifetime, including dogs (as well as fostering). We are well versed in activity, playtime, and training. We love to play fun activities with our dogs such as obstacles, finding treats, water playtime and more! *We will never have a foster dog at the same time we are dog sitting in our home. I work part time from home, and my husband works from home as well. A dog staying in our care will have many walks through out the day, and will be able to go outside every few hours. We have very flexible schedules and outside of a random weekday activity, your pet will be our primary responsibility. In our home, we will tailor set up and activity based on the pet's needs. We are open to using crates, beds, free roaming based on what the pet is used to and comfortable with. With our previous dogs we boarded at kennels but felt the need to try something different with a puppy that spent most of her life at a shelter. Our dogs would be wiped out when they came back home. About: I am an animal lover, through and through. Dogs, cats, hedgehogs, birds… you name it. I treat my guest animals like my own and love on them as much as possible. I enjoy taking cute portraits of the pets in my care and I send lots of photos and written updates. I currently have a female Aussie/Pit mix, currently fostering a female Blue Doberman, and have had Doberman Pinschers in the past from puppies through old age until the rainbow bridge. I’m patient with puppies and elderly animals. I check to see which commands they know and how they have been trained to keep them consistent in my care, and have experience administering medications to them. Before joining Rover, I frequently dog and cat sat for friends and family. I am currently fully remote and based at home. I have a lot of flexibility to accommodate your pet’s schedule and needs. My schedule may change in the future but I will update my info when that happens. I have one female 7 year old Aussie/Pit Mix and occasionally foster Dobermans through Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus. I have a spare bedroom to host guest animals with any bedding and belongings but during the day they are with me, within line of sight in my home. My yard is fenced (4ft) and only two steps to the yard from the door. There are no children living in my home. I live is a quiet neighborhood and can go for walks as needed.
