About: Hello! I’ve recently decided to join Rover to help around the Chicago area. To me, animals/pets are a gift. Since I was born we always had a family dog. I had a Yorkie named Willy I got in first grade, I was very shy and he was my best friend growing up, I was never alone with him by my side. I volunteered at a couple animal shelters a few times a month when I was younger and always got recognized for how the animals would take to me. I’m a very easy going, energetic and understanding person, just being around animals brings me joy. I would love to help you keep your dog or cat active, happy and satisfied everyday :) I'm currently working part-time (3 days a week, 25 hours) so I have plenty of time to play with your pets! I'm available for boarding on weekends and weekdays after 2 pm currently. ***I started Rover in Arizona in 2019 and have been moving and figuring a lot out since then so my responses haven't been the best previously but I'm finally settled down and fully committing to this as a side job for me and promise to respond promptly :)*** I have a small fenced back yard. I live in Bucktown so I'm pretty lucky to even have that. My pup loves it back there!

About: We moved to Cherry Valley 2 years ago. I am a dog mom of two sweet and passive poodle mix girls (no children). I work full-time online as a college professor so I am home with my dogs during the day. I have a doctorate in Teaching and Learning, MA in Educational Leadership, and a BA in English. I used to be a k-12 classroom teacher before teaching college online full-time. I am am passionate about animals. I have a large fenced yard. My neighborhood is quiet and pedestrian friendly. I love all dogs! I’m used to caring for dogs from 8 week old puppies to seniors. I have experience with insulin dependent pups and deaf dogs. I love chihuahuas to mastiffs. I promise your dog will get the very best love, attention, care, and endless fun! My dogs are used to me being home all day. I never leave the house for more than an hour or two, and that is typically on weekends or in the evening. My dogs are very secure and spoiled by my attention, and yours will be, too! My two sweet female dogs are both spayed and are very friendly to other dogs and people. Prior to moving to IL, I fostered dogs and watched other animals on Rover.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was young, and I now have over 18 years of hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have always trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and give their pets the same love and attention they would. I’m patient, responsible, and passionate about making every dog feel safe and happy. I work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets throughout the week. I’m available on weekends and most weekdays after 2 PM for walks, drop-ins, or boarding. Also im at full time college student I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment where animals can relax and feel safe. I follow each pet’s routine closely, provide lots of attention, and make sure they’re supervised at all times. I can also crate your dog if required.

About: Since a child, I have been trusted to watch, walk, and care for neighbors and friends dogs. I still care for my friends and families dogs. I grew into loving the difficult dogs, training lots of different sports and dog behavior. I love seniors/special needs who just need some TLC. Puppies are my absolute favorite. I enjoy the bond and training from the start. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom looking to start working again and thought this would be a great fit due to my passion with animals. I have a flexible schedule and am available to board most days. Dogs will be given love and attention, play, walks, really whatever they are into or owner needs. My own crew loves to swim in our pool, play frisbee or fetch the chuck-it. I have 3 custom built in crates that are massively oversized. I can keep dogs separate from my own or integrate. I absolutely love working with puppies and dogs and exposing them to new fun things!

About: I’ve taken care of my sweet 70 lb pit bull for 4 years now in my home with a fully fenced backyard, downstairs dog play area, private room and crate for your dog, and eufy camera access to the private room. My dog has esophageal dysmotility so I understand medically complicated dogs. My home is ideal for a dog that is lower energy and enjoys calm and quiet environments. I work remote so I am home throughout the day other than the occasional doctor appointment. On average when I leave the home, it’s usually only about 2 hours and the max is about 4 hours. I also take my dog to a home groomer every other week so I can coordinate with you to take your dog to my groomer when my dog goes for grooming for an extra cost plus you paying the groomer separately. The most important thing is that your dog and my dog get along and/or are neutral. When I leave for brief periods your dog will be crated in their private room with the door closed and my dog will be loose but without access to your dog. Note: I DO NOT take dogs on walks. I believe it is too high risk for potential altercation with other dogs or your pet and I being separated. The alternative will be my backyard where they can play and explore and also I have a downstairs dog play area with a large dog bed and many toys! I work fully remote so your dog will be with me at all times (unless I have an appointment or errand to run) either in my office, their own private room with a crate, or in the living room. I typically wake up around 6 am and pet care happens whenever my dog needs so I can do the same for your dog in terms of potty breaks and feeding and play time. I am typically in bed by 8 pm but will get up if needed to take my dog out to the bathroom as well. Safety is my main priority. I require that our dogs get along/are neutral to one another to prevent any sort of altercation. If there ever is an altercation, you would be informed immediately and the dogs can easily be separated for the rest of the day/boarding booking. I have a very quiet and calm home and live in a quiet neighborhood as well. I take breaks during work to get on the couch and spend time with my dog and will do the same for yours! Your dog must be crate trained and will be put in a crate for any time I must leave the home (max 4 hours at a time). Your dog will also have to be either in their crate or in their private room with the door closed while I sleep. Them being able to be in their private room with the door closed while I sleep will be allowed on a case-by-case basis. Note: I DO NOT take dogs on walks. I believe it is too high of a safety risk for potential altercation with other dogs or your pet and I being separated. The alternative will be my backyard where they can play and explore and also I have a downstairs dog play area with a large dog bed and many toys!

About: I grew up with dogs all of my life. We always had at least one dog and usually a cat growing up. My family and I now have 3 dogs- Cocker Spaniel, Bernedoodle, and a Beagle mix. We treat our dogs as family- humans. I consider them my children. I am a former foster for Tails, but unfortunately I had to give that up due to getting attached to them all. ❤️ *update- I’m fostering again! 🥰💕❤️ I am a stay at home mom to my 3 dogs! My 15, 12, and 6 year old are in school all day. I am home all day besides an occasional errand, school drop off/pickup, or an after school or weekend sporting event for my boys. My husband also has a flexible work schedule. In fact, I usually have him come along on meet & greets so that we can tag team visits if need be. We have a Petsafe invisible fence. If you have a Petsafe collar, then it should work at my home. Besides the Petsafe invisible fence, we have an extra long tie out in the backyard. We also have a fenced in area near the pool which is unavailable during pool season otherwise open. I recently put up a fenced area that is suitable for dogs that aren’t jumpers or strong. Our yard is about half an acre. I’m happy to walk a dog on a leash in the yard or around the neighborhood as well. We have a beautiful walking path nearby. I also love giving the option to pet owners for in home visits while they’re gone. Sometimes a pet is more content and comfortable in their own home. I’m happy to visit 3-4 times a day to provide some company, feed, and allow for potty breaks. It’s really a great option for many who don’t enjoy being boarded at a facility.

About: Hello, I'm a dog lover, of all breeds, big and small and everything in between. I truly believe that your precious canine/feline will be truly at home with me. Animals off all sizes and breeds are special to me and also to God. I know I have a couple less than desirable reviews, but they were total misunderstandings. Unfortunately they stay on my page which makes me so sad because it gives me great joy to be there and stand in the gap for these precious animals. I also watch caged pets. About: I have taken care of many dogs in my neighborhood for years. I had a German Shorthair Pinter I trained. I have had a umber of cats over the years. My dog now is 14 yes.! I am a retired teacher so I have the time to care for your dogs! I am available everyday. I do attend church on Sunday’s for 3 hours. Other wise I’m am home all day. First thing in the morning we are out the door for a walk around the neighborhood. We come the dogs have a fresh clean bowl of water and a treat. My dog eats around 12 o’clock. I feel his bowl up with his favorite dog food from blue buffalo. Second walk of the day is around noon outside around the neighborhood check in with some of the friends dogs and back home. We take a little nap around 2 o’clock and then back out for another walk around five. My dog gets another bowl full of blue buffalo. Sometimes he eats it and sometimes he waits and eats it later in the evening. We go out approximately between nine and 10 o’clock. The last of the day potty breaks. I try to keep the same schedule for the dogs so they know what they have to do when we go outside.

“Hanna watched my Kira today. She sent me pictures and assured me that Kira was having a great time. She has a nice fenced yard and her dog Sadie is so sweet! Sadie also has the same amount of energy as my dog, they played well together. Kira is wiped out from today’s play day and can’t wait to see Hanna and Sadie again next week!”

About: When I was 7 years old I got my first puppy. His name was Jake, a baby lab. I trained him myself and raised him throughout his entire life. I have a natural affinity with animals. I am great at figuring out what my furry baby needs from me, I am also great at calming down irritable pups. My puppy passed 5 years ago due to health conditions and I instantly got two more. I now have two Australian shepherds who are very high energy and need a lot of love, play, and attention which I always provide top quality. I have also been relied on by friends and family countless times to take care of their puppies or all different kinds. Pictures of these beautifies can be found in my profile. I feed, walk, bathe, play, and much more with them, I know they always enjoy themselves and their owners are always greatfull and eager for me to watch them again. I have even taken care of peoples bunnies, reptiles, crustaceans, cats/kittens (I am allergic to cats so I am less likely to take them on). The dogs I have taken care of have been xs-xl sized so I can handle myself, even two animals at a time would be no problem. Currently, my schedule is very flexible as I am working with DoorDash where I get to schedule my own work times and days (based on the area and how busy it is). This allows me a lot of time to devote towards your furry baby! I work the most from 4-9:30pm on weekdays and weekends (primarily). Weekdays are more negotiable than weekends, as these are my only jobs currently. There will never be a time where I need to focus on both jobs simultaneously, any furry baby with me will have my undivided attention! My home is a very safe, clean, and organized environment. So, there will be no worry for any choking hazards, sharp objects, or hazardous foods/liquids in furry reach. That being said there is also a door that blocks off the kitchen area. If there is any specific housing instructions, I will cater to them to the best of my abilities!
