About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for the last 7-8 years for my family, friends, and neighbors. They have trusted me with walking, feeding, and overall loving their furry friends! When my family first got our dog in 2020, I assisted in training him and learning how to take care of a puppy. I have also helped to take care of my roommates pet dog and cat in these last few months as well! During the summer of 2024, my dog suddenly went paralyzed and lost function of his back legs. We had to learn how to take care of him and walk him using unconventional ways, while teaching him how to learn to walk again, so I have experience with a dog who has been partially disabled (but he has regained his ability to walk and is doing great!!) I recently graduated from Miami University, Ohio with my masters degree in speech-language pathology. I just moved back to Illinois and am looking to do some dog walking and pet care/love this summer before starting a new job in the schools this upcoming August as a speech-language pathologist. I will adhere to any requests that the client has. I am willing to put them in their crates, give them treats, play with them in the yard, or go for a nice long walk with them. It really comes down to the clients preference and I will stick to their normal routine!!
“Beth was so wonderful! She went above and beyond caring for our kitty and making sure he was loved while we were gone. She sent lots of pictures and updates as well! Would highly recommend!”

About: Here’s a warm, friendly, and professional version: I’ve spent my whole life caring for the pets of friends, family, and neighbors, and it’s something that has always brought me a lot of joy. I’ve been on Rover for a few years now and have truly loved getting to know and look after so many wonderful animals. These days, I primarily offer drop-ins, walks, and house sitting, and I look forward to the opportunity to care for your pet. I don’t currently have any pets of my own, so it’s a real pleasure to spend time with yours and give them all the attention and affection they deserve. Here’s a polished, friendly paragraph you can use for your Rover profile: I’m currently enrolled in online school, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to focus on your pets. I’m available to care for your pet in your home five days a week, as well as on weekends, and I’m happy to provide as much attention, affection, and one-on-one care as they need. Your pets will never feel overlooked—they’ll have someone present, patient, and genuinely happy to spend time with them. Here’s a refined paragraph that includes everything: I take the safety, comfort, and routine of every pet in my care very seriously. I follow their daily schedule closely so that—even though they’ll miss you—their days feel familiar and uninterrupted. I also care for your home while you’re away, keeping everything neat, tidy, and just as you left it. With experience caring for senior dogs, I understand the importance of maintaining a clean, calm environment and keeping their personal spaces fresh and comfortable. You can trust that both your pet and your home will be well looked after.

About: My motto is: "I wouldn't trust my pet with just anyone, why should YOU?! I TREAT EVERY PET AS IF IT WERE MY OWN!" I'm a pet care specialist with 40+ years experience. One of my first jobs was as a Veterinary Assistant. Since that time I've worked at various animal hospitals, kennels, grooming salons & dog walking/pet sitting companies. Over the past the 40 years, I've worked in nearly every aspect of the pet care field. In 1994 I started my own pet care service in Chicago, offering petsitting/feedings/dog walking for clients who were stuck at work or going on vacation. After relocating in 2008, I began offering my services in the northwestern suburban area & added in-home basic grooming such as nail trims, ear cleaning, etc. Available by appt. Days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, etc. I currently work part-time at a grooming salon & have open availability (but please still try to book in advance!) Various online payments accepted including Zelle & Cash App as well as cash & personal checks. Feel free to be as specific & detailed as you'd like when it comes to how you prefer your pet is cared for! I welcome any notes regarding feedings/diet, treats, etc. My goal is always to provide top quality pet care that DOESN'T break the bank & become great friends with your fur baby!
“Jennifer did so great with our floofs! She took the time to get to know them and took pictures of the cuddles she got from them, which meant they were super comfortable with her!”

Shelby As a child my dream job response was veterinarian (although I now work as a teacher). I’m 100% a dog person and love all animals. Being with dogs renews my energy so that I am my best for my students. I’ve been dog sitting and dog walking for clients since 2017. Prior to that, I had taken care of family friends’ dogs- pugs, golden retrievers, labs, poodles and more. Jose My wife says all dogs love me and that I am a dog whisperer. I have my BS in computer science. We can do drop in visits, walks, overnights and boarding. We are also offering doggie daycare out of our home, see below for more info. We look forward to meeting you and your dog! When we board, we are able to offer potty breaks about every four hours during the work week. During holidays, weekends and summers we are home more frequently. We can be more flexible with potty/walk breaks as needed. We prioritize the well-being and comfort of your dog. “We highly recomment Shelly! We were away for 7 days and were a bit nervous leaving Charlie as he has anxiety when we leave him for more than 24 hours. It was very reassuring getting updates on a daily basis and we all loved seeing the pictures of our 2 pups that Shelly took! We came home to 2 very happy and healthy dogs! She is professional and you can tell that she loves what she does. I will definitely hire Shelly again! Thanks Shelly!!”

Mary was simply amazing! She loved over both my babies, took them on walks, let me know when they used the bathroom and drank, sent many photos. Not only did she look over both dogs, but she also helped with my pup who is potty training. I would highly recommend Mary and will be requesting her help in the future.

While my mom was in the hospital, I frantically searched for someone to help let my mom’s dog out. I booked Mackenzie last minute, and she was an angel that we needed in our time of need. She was patient with our last minute requests, accommodating and flexible. She sent many updates and took great care of of my mom’s dog.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Crystal Lake with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
