“Natalie has been absolutely fantastic with my four dogs. She handles them all with no problem at all. She is responsible and flexible with schedule changes and that has been a big help as my work schedule does fluctuate. The dogs just love her and we feel very fortunate to have her as our daily pet sitter. I would strongly recommend Natalie if you are looking for peace of mind when it comes to having someone trustworthy to care for your pets.”

“Alyssa was wonderful! Communicated promptly when we were setting up the meet and greet, and I could tell she was a good fit for us when she came over and our cat was immediately at ease with her. Loved her daily updates! She exceeds expectations, and we came home to a happy cat ?”

“Marcy has been great, we have used her services several times the last few months and have all good things to say. The biggest help is being able to work with the short notices due to my work schedule. Her flexibility has been awesome. My dogs seem to really enjoy her and Marcy has been wonderful to my pups.....”

“Chloe did great with my cat, Ellie. She came over twice a day with no issues and fed, watered, and cleaned the litter area for Ellie when I was out of town for two weeks. The house looks spotless and Ellie appreciated the company. Highly recommended!”

About: Hello! Thank you for checking out my profile. I have been pet sitting for over 20 years but I'm newer to Rover. I have experience with various animals. Not just the four legged ones. I have cared for aquatic pets and reptiles. I have experience with blind, deaf and disabled animals. I have cared for dogs requiring insulin injections along with many other medications. I'm certified in dog and cat CPR. I am available full time to be in your home. I like the flexibility of being in the home most of my day to allow the freedom for your pet to go out as much as needed. Also, they will get tons of attention! If you're looking for drop in visits, and my schedule says I'm unavailable, please message me here. I'm usually able to fit this into my schedule! I like to follow what the pet's usual routine is. This allows them to feel safe, and stress and anxiety levels go down quickly once they're used to me. This is what I feel is most important when staying with them. My goal is to bond with them and develop trust for any future visits.

I’m available most weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and giving pets attention and care. I have a fenced yard and two dogs who will keep your dog company ! I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in both my home and a client’s home.
“I could not have asked for a better first experience with Rover. Mary was absolutely a dream to have come over and take care of my boys. She sent me a bunch of pictures of both of my dogs and made sure that they were loved while we were away. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I feel blessed to have found her.”

“This is the 4th time we have used Carolyn to help care for Clove on long days we have been away from her. When I booked this visit it was kinda last minute to schedule. Carolyn was so accommodating. You can tell how much she loves animals. Carolyn is so amazing making sure Clove is well taken care of on her walks and before she leaves the house, making sure Clove has plenty of water and food.”

“Iwonka was fabulous! She played with our labradors and took wonderful care of them. I would definitely recommend Iwonka and when we need a pet sitter we will reach out to her again.”

About: I’ve grown up taking care of both cats and dogs, including small and large breeds. I currently have a chocolate lab who I walk, feed, and play with every day. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and cats, and I understand the extra patience, attention, and care they may need. I love cats and am comfortable feeding them, changing litter, playing with them, and giving them lots of attention. I’m reliable, caring, and truly enjoy being around animals! I’m home from college until August 10th. I’m available all day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 AM–3PM for dog walking, pet sitting, and drop-in visits for both cats and dogs! I’m also available on weekends and am flexible with timing. I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine to make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and safe. I’m always mindful, respectful, and responsible when caring for pets in someone else’s home. I make sure to keep a clean and safe environment, follow instructions carefully, and handle everything with care. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets and home, and I’ll always do my best to make both you and your pets feel comfortable and secure.
“Rachael is so sweet and so good with my shy boy! She made sure to spend time and play with his favorite toys and went above and beyond!! So grateful my boy got to spend time with her while I was gone!”

“Sarah was amazing! I had a very last minute need for my dog and cat and Sarah responded very quickly and we hashed out the details immediately! I had a few time slots I needed her for at first and then things came up where I needed to cancel a couple of them and she was so quick and helpful to communicate back with me. She was great! Thank you again Sarah!”

About: I have been a fur mama for 13 years, but have been taking care of animals since I was a kid. I love BOTH cats and dogs! I have two of each—along with a turtle, so I am not afraid of caring for aquatic animals. I have experience administering medication both orally and subdermally. So I am not afraid to do either. I would love to help take care of your baby in any way! I currently work Monday-Thursday. I am available all day Fridays and Sundays. And full days every other Saturday, because I work a half day every other. Can make some weeknights work, depending on the situation. I have a fully fenced in yard, so no need to worry about keeping your babies safe. Backyard comes with two super friendly dogs who love playtime with friends!
About: I am experienced in administering medicinal injections, nail trimming and teeth brushing of larger breeds, lifting 60+ lbs, pad and potty training, and assisting senior and special needs dogs. I currently work remote and spend most of the day with my own pup by my side. We go to the nearby dog park at least weekly, go on two 20-25 minute walks (1mi+) daily, and play regularly throughout the day. He is very friendly and happy to tag along for any walks or play times, if the company is welcomed. I have a large crate available, if needed, and an in ground stake in the front and back yard with 30ft leads attached, allowing for plenty of time outside in shaded and unshaded areas. Food bowls are cleaned after every meal and pet waste is cleaned up after every trip outside.
About: I've often thought about how best to care for my pets when I go out of town. I would want them to be with someone who is loving and makes them feel as if they were with their owner. I would treat your pet the same way I treat mine, with love, care, and attention they need and deserve. We have a fenced yard, neighborhood sidewalks, and nearby walking. I'm super active and into health and fitness. I do crossfit during the week. "A dog is this only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself" I’m currently a stay at home mom to an 2yo, 8yo, and a 6mo puppy. I’ve grew up with dogs in my household. My schedule is pretty much open from 10am- 5pm. I have a fenced in yard and one friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. My dog is trained to be out of the cage while I’m gone. I am more then happy to crate your fur baby while I leave my house to do daily errands.
“Alexandra did an excellent job of keeping me in the loop about my kiddos! She gave me daily photos and a little story about them daily as well so I knew their routine never changed. Having her take care of them as I went out of the country just lifted a weight off my shoulders knowing they’re in amazing hands!”

About: Here’s a warm, friendly, and professional version: I’ve spent my whole life caring for the pets of friends, family, and neighbors, and it’s something that has always brought me a lot of joy. I’ve been on Rover for a few years now and have truly loved getting to know and look after so many wonderful animals. These days, I primarily offer drop-ins, walks, and house sitting, and I look forward to the opportunity to care for your pet. I don’t currently have any pets of my own, so it’s a real pleasure to spend time with yours and give them all the attention and affection they deserve. Here’s a polished, friendly paragraph you can use for your Rover profile: I’m currently enrolled in online school, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to focus on your pets. I’m available to care for your pet in your home five days a week, as well as on weekends, and I’m happy to provide as much attention, affection, and one-on-one care as they need. Your pets will never feel overlooked—they’ll have someone present, patient, and genuinely happy to spend time with them. Here’s a refined paragraph that includes everything: I take the safety, comfort, and routine of every pet in my care very seriously. I follow their daily schedule closely so that—even though they’ll miss you—their days feel familiar and uninterrupted. I also care for your home while you’re away, keeping everything neat, tidy, and just as you left it. With experience caring for senior dogs, I understand the importance of maintaining a clean, calm environment and keeping their personal spaces fresh and comfortable. You can trust that both your pet and your home will be well looked after.

“Our doggies are so lucky to have Cece (we are too ?). I’m a nurse and my husband is an EMT. Our schedules are long and at time random. Cece is so flexible and always there for us when we need her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Crystal Lake
Mary was simply amazing! She loved over both my babies, took them on walks, let me know when they used the bathroom and drank, sent many photos. Not only did she look over both dogs, but she also helped with my pup who is potty training. I would highly recommend Mary and will be requesting her help in the future.

We returned again to happy, well-cared for cats who clearly missed Maria's attention and affection. Some of my favourite photos of our kitties have been taken by Maria, she really sees their unique purrsonalities. One of them has special medical needs and we know he's in very good hands with Maria. Thank you again.

- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
