“This has been our first time ever leaving our dogs home and had someone other than family take care of them. We have two large dogs a German shepherd and a German shepherd mix. Ashley was confident the first time we met her that she could take care of our dogs. She came over and met them multiple times prior to our trip and was so kind. During our trip Ashley communicated with us each day along with photo updates. A storm came through town and dropped some debris on our roof while we were gone and Ashley communicated with us right away and. I can’t say enough good things about Ashley. Every visit is an opportunity to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their family is away. Our cat got quite attached to Chloe when she was here 😊 She provided us with pictures and little updates to let us know they were doing well. The floor of the house where the pets stayed looked fantastic and the kitchen was cleaned of all the pets paraphernalia. Chloe did an amazing job! About: I used to be on rover with my mom as dog sitters. We had a lot of happy customers many of whom would book with us multiple times. Animals have always had a special place in my heart. I am available for dog walking and drop in visits. I may or may not be able to do walks every day of the week depending on what time the dog goes for a walk. I also have an emergency veterinary background as well! I have dog sat many times for family, friends and neighbors.I love taking care of animals in all aspects! About: I have been around animals all my life. Grew up on a farm & helped with the horses, chickens, cows, cats, dogs. Currently training a bernedoodle, Dunkin, for the Southern Wisconsin Therapy Dog Association. Dunkin will visit nursing homes, student centers with autistic and special ability facilities, some medical facilities based on needs. If you ask family & friends, they’ll tell you that I cannot pass any animal without affectionately acknowledging them. And only if the animal is willing, I will give lots of love. I genuinely enjoy animals far more than people. ;) I have taken multiple levels of dog training courses. I also enjoy riding the family horse, Apache, in my free time. I have a pretty flexible work schedule but I work most days 8-4:30, M-F I am available before work, after work, evenings until about 10-10:30pm and weekends. Or overnights if booked. In client’s homes, I would use whichever method they prefer. If they leash potty an animal, I will do that. If animal runs in fenced in yard, I will stand in yard & wait. If they have a special request for animal, I will discuss with client if I am capable of said request.

I have pet sat my family and friends pets throughout the years. My one pup at home is a special needs puppy so I have some special need care as well. I cared for her through nearly four years of treatment, managing medications, hydration, appetite, weight, and daily routines until she passed away just shy of her 16th birthday. That experience taught me the importance of careful observation, consistency, and recognizing subtle changes in behavior that can indicate something isn't right. I also have experience caring for a Yorkshire Terrier and understand the unique needs of toy breeds, including their size, energy, and safety considerations. Several family members and friends have larger dogs that I take on walks and care for when they're away. Professionally, my background is in consulting and project management, which has made me highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented. I follow instructions carefully, communicate proactively, and believe pet owners deserve regular updates and photos so they can enjoy their time away with confidence. My goal is always to care for your pets the way I would want someone to care for my own. Pet sitting fits well into my schedule, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care while maintaining flexibility. I currently offer overnight house sitting, typically from approximately 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m., when many pets appreciate the comfort of having someone with them overnight. During the day, I may have other work or personal commitments depending on the booking, but I always communicate my schedule in advance so expectations are clear. I strive to keep pets on their normal routines for meals, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and companionship while respecting the schedule that works best for each household. I understand how important consistency is for animals, especially seniors or pets with medical needs, and I do my best to minimize disruptions to their daily routine. I am able to pick up your animal and drop them off for an additional fee ($10 / day). When caring for pets in a client's home, my priority is maintaining the environment and routines they already know. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, medications, walks, exercise, household rules, and any special care your pet requires. I take time to build trust with each animal, allowing shy or anxious pets to become comfortable at their own pace. Safety is extremely important to me. I pay close attention during walks, keep doors and gates secure, monitor pets for changes in behavior or health, and never hesitate to contact an owner if I have a question or concern. I also treat every home with the same respect I would expect someone to show mine, keeping it clean, secure, and well cared for during your absence. Communication is a key part of my service. You can expect regular updates and photos so you know how your pets are doing and can have peace of mind while you're away.

I have experience giving injections and oral meds and I’m super comfortable with doing so. Also, I have experience watching pets post-op, as well as puppies and dogs with anxiety. I have a full time job Monday-Friday, but would love to care for your pet on weekends and evenings.
