“Chloe was wonderful with our dog and cat! They really responded well to her 😊 Our dog was walked daily and our cat's litterbox was monitored and cleaned out. Our cat got quite attached to Chloe when she was here 😊 She provided us with pictures and little updates to let us know they were doing well. The floor of the house where the pets stayed looked fantastic and the kitchen was cleaned of all the pets paraphernalia. Chloe did an amazing job! We would definitely have her sit for our pets again 🥰”

“Reggi was great with my cat, Noodle! We appreciated the ease of communication with Reggi through texts and the Rover app. She checked in every day, sent photos, and Noodle was as happy as a kitty can be when we finally arrived home after our long holiday away. She kept us updated on Noodle's appetite and other habits and did everything we asked of her. We'd love to have her back to take care of our kitty the next time we have to go out of town.”
About: Hi! I'm Jacqui, and I've been surrounded by cats my entire life. As the proud cat mom of four, I know firsthand that every cat has a unique personality, routine, and way of communicating. Whether your cat is playful, shy, independent, or loves constant attention, I take the time to understand what makes them feel safe, comfortable, and happy. During each visit, I'll provide fresh food and water, clean the litter box, administer basic care as instructed, and spend quality time with your cat based on their individual preferences. Some cats love to play, while others simply appreciate a calm, reassuring presence—and I'm happy to meet them where they are. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. I'll treat your cats as if they were my own, providing dependable, compassionate care and keeping you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you and your feline family! 🐾 I am a teacher, so I am working during the day, but I am available for drop in visits on weekdays after 3, and/or anytime on the weekends! I genuinely love spending time with cats and getting to know each one's unique personality. One of my favorite parts of cat sitting is earning a cat's trust, whether they're playful and outgoing or shy and reserved. Every visit is an opportunity to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their family is away. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing a timid cat come out for pets or having a playful cat greet me at the door. Knowing I can provide peace of mind for both cats and their owners is what I enjoy most.
“Medea has been a life saver! Moose is a reactive boy and she was patient with him. Took great care of Moose and our 3 kitties while we were on vacation. I recommend her to anyone looking for support with a reactive dog. Your doggos will thank you and so will your mental health! Thank you so much Medea!!”

“Ian was a super pet watcher for us he was very reliable and had great communication throughout a long day! I appreciate him very much. I could tell our pu ps were very quickly at ease with him and I did not feel stressed or worried myself. I would 100% utilize his services again!”

About: I have been taking care of animals for roughly 13 years. We always had pets growing up and I did a lot of dog sitting in high school. I grew up on a farm so I have experience taking care of all sorts of different animals I work for a school district so I have fairly short hours during the day and have weekends off. I also have summers off as well as several random days off and full weeks here and there. I work less than half the year so I am very flexible. My house is already pet proofed with locks and baby gates. We have a dog area that is fenced in and has a doggie door connected to our screened in porch that is shaded.
About: Hi there! My name is Lauren. Our pets are an important part of our family but unfortunately they can’t tagalong with us everywhere we go. Have you found yourself passing up opportunities, turning down offers or just having guilt about leaving them cooped up for too many hours? As a former business owner and having two dogs I understand the struggle. I had endless guilt about not spending enough time with my pups. But, you are in luck because you needn't feel guilt anymore. I have a flexible schedule which allows for you to make last-minute trips, on a whim decisions or just simply having a worry free day away from home. I have grown up with cats and dogs all my life. My pups and I have all gone to training classes so, I have a solid understanding of canine behavior in order to keep everyone safe and sound. I work in the health and wellness industry. My position allows for me to create my own schedule which is conducive to caring for all your beloved ones needs. I am super outdoorsy! So, I am familiar with many of our local parks and walking paths. I am always up for a car ride and to go to the park. Please just let me what you feel comfortable with.

About: Hi! I’m Meg, a graduate student attending Aurora University online while pursuing my Master’s in Social Work. My career is centered around being patient, dependable, and attentive to individual needs, and I bring those same qualities to every pet I care for. I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for my own dog, Bentley, has given me experience beyond the average pet owner. I adopted him as an 8-week-old puppy from an accidental litter, and over the years I’ve managed his hip issues, bladder disease requiring a strict prescription diet, anxiety, and a collapsing trachea. Because of him, I’m comfortable administering oral medications, following detailed feeding instructions, and adapting to each dog’s unique routine. In addition to Bentley, I’ve cared for more than 15 dogs through house sitting, walks, and pet care for family and friends. I’m most comfortable with small- and medium-sized dogs, including puppies, senior dogs, and pets with special diets. Since I can’t have a dog of my own right now, Rover is the perfect way to combine something I truly enjoy with a flexible schedule while I’m in graduate school. Whether your pup is staying with me for the weekend or just needs an evening walk, I’ll make sure they’re safe, loved, and well cared for. Communication is important to me, so I’m happy to send photo updates and detailed visit summaries as often as you’d like. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’ll follow your instructions carefully so they feel comfortable while you’re away. My goal is simple: to care for your pets the same way I’d want someone to care for mine, with patience, consistency, lots of love, and plenty of updates along the way. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I’m currently a graduate student attending Aurora University online, which gives me a flexible schedule. I currently offer weekend boarding in my home and evening walks during the week. I’ll always keep my availability up to date, and I’ll only accept bookings when I know I can give your pet the time and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, potty breaks, exercise, and any routines that help your pet feel at home. I understand that every animal is different, so I take the time to learn what makes them feel comfortable. I’m also happy to provide photo updates and detailed check-ins throughout their stay for your peace of mind.
“Kelly was wonderful. Our dogs truly felt at ease and enjoyed every visit. Loved the picture updates that truly put our minds at ease that our fur babies were in great hands. I will definitely be calling on her again and highly recommend her.”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, with a special appreciation for senior pets and those who need extra patience or consistency. One of the most meaningful experiences I've had was adopting a 12-year-old cat that developed chronic kidney disease (CKD). I cared for her through nearly four years of treatment, managing medications, hydration, appetite, weight, and daily routines until she passed away just shy of her 16th birthday. That experience taught me the importance of careful observation, consistency, and recognizing subtle changes in behavior that can indicate something isn't right. I also have experience caring for a Yorkshire Terrier and understand the unique needs of toy breeds, including their size, energy, and safety considerations. Several family members and friends have larger dogs that I take on walks and care for when they're away. Professionally, my background is in consulting and project management, which has made me highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented. I follow instructions carefully, communicate proactively, and believe pet owners deserve regular updates and photos so they can enjoy their time away with confidence. My goal is always to care for your pets the way I would want someone to care for my own. Pet sitting fits well into my schedule, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care while maintaining flexibility. I currently offer overnight house sitting, typically from approximately 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m., when many pets appreciate the comfort of having someone with them overnight. During the day, I may have other work or personal commitments depending on the booking, but I always communicate my schedule in advance so expectations are clear. I strive to keep pets on their normal routines for meals, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and companionship while respecting the schedule that works best for each household. I understand how important consistency is for animals, especially seniors or pets with medical needs, and I do my best to minimize disruptions to their daily routine. I am able to pick up your animal and drop them off for an additional fee ($10 / day). When caring for pets in a client's home, my priority is maintaining the environment and routines they already know. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, medications, walks, exercise, household rules, and any special care your pet requires. I take time to build trust with each animal, allowing shy or anxious pets to become comfortable at their own pace. Safety is extremely important to me. I pay close attention during walks, keep doors and gates secure, monitor pets for changes in behavior or health, and never hesitate to contact an owner if I have a question or concern. I also treat every home with the same respect I would expect someone to show mine, keeping it clean, secure, and well cared for during your absence. Communication is a key part of my service. You can expect regular updates and photos so you know how your pets are doing and can have peace of mind while you're away.
“Amanda stopped in to care for our furry “kids” yesterday. She did a great job of communicating with us while taking care of them. She even thought to leave the outside lights on for us as it would be dark when we returned home. Happy to say our search for a new pet sitter has had great results. We will not hesitate to book her again. Thanks Amanda?”

“Jennifer was excellent! She came to my apartment as described and dropped-in on my cat while I was away. She sent pictures during each visit and was responsive to text messages when something changed. I would definitely recommend her.”

About: Hello! My name is Gracie, a graduate student living in the Carbondale area. I'm looking for furry walking buddies to make some extra money in my free time. From growing up on my family's hobby farm and watching friend's pets, I have over 9 years of experience caring for dogs and other types of animals, both small and large. I have a wonderful cat named Whispy. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you're in need of animal care. I look forward to meeting you and your dog (or other fur babies). You're welcome to send me a message with any or all inquires. I'd love to get to know you dog or other pet more. In the meantime, have a wonderful day! I’m currently job hunting after graduation, so my current availability is very flexible to suit your schedule. I am willing to work around your schedule to meet your pet care needs. I usually spend my time accompanying the pets when I’m animal sitting for my clients. I can’t help myself but play with pets when they’re nearby, so expect lots of exercise and enrichment :)
“Mariahn did an incredible job watching my two dogs while I was on vacation. One of my dogs is very shy and it takes her a long time to warm up to people. I was so worried about leaving her while I was on vacation. She immediately bonded with Mariahn at the meet and greet which I think says a lot about a person. She is very kind, professional and knowledgeable when it comes to animal behavior. She gave me such peace of mind while I was away knowing my dogs were safe and happy. I would highly recommend hiring her as a pet sitter.”

About: I have lots of experience with cats and dogs, big or small. I’m comfortable with dogs, cats, rats, rabbits, reptiles, and fish! I have experience giving injections and oral meds and I’m super comfortable with doing so. Also, I have experience watching pets post-op, as well as puppies and dogs with anxiety. I have a full time job Monday-Friday, but would love to care for your pet on weekends and evenings. I’m available most weekday evenings for walks or drop ins, and I’m available anytime on weekends for walks or drop ins. I’d love to be a great companion to your pet while you trust me with their care. I love playing with high energy dogs to get their energy out, but I also respect pets who need chill/alone time.
