“Emily is great. I can tell she really cares for animals and my dog (and fish) would agree. She’s punctual and shared plenty of picture updates while we were away. I definitely recommend Emily for your pet sitting needs! 😃”

About: I have had dogs for over 25 years now, both small and large breeds. I also have experience giving them medications when needed. I currently have 2 doodles and a pitbull mix at home. I work full-time but I have a flexible schedule and can work remotely when needed. As long as I have some notice, I can accommodate most schedules without any issues. I'm dependable and love dog cuddles! I will make sure all of their needs are met and provide play and love! If they have any special needs I am more than capable of handling that with care as well.
“Marla was our first sitter from Rover. She spent the afternoon playing with our puppy and we could not have asked for a better sitter. I know she spent quality time at playing with our pup!! Hope to use her again in the future!”

“My reactive and nervous dog really took to Abbey well quite quickly. She spent her time playing with him to ensure he was comfortable so I will happily rebook with her as often as I need drop in services!”

“Kristen was very professional. She appears to love animals. She was a sitter for my dog Bella and it was the first time Bella ever had a Pet Sitter. When I got home Bella was happy and well cared for. I will sure use Kristen for future and I recommend her highly.”

“This was my first time working with Amanda. She met at the house for a pre-trip meeting and was very engaged with meeting my cat and understanding the set up. Excellent job taking care of my old cat while I was abroad. She provided good communication and photos. I strongly recommend Amanda for cat sitting.”

“Thank you Emilie for being so patient and attentive to all of my requests and need to over explain our needs! :) my dogs liked Emilie instantly and they are the best judges of character. When all 3 like you it’s a win! 🥇”

About: Growing up I lived in the country with cows, horses and chickens next door. We always had many cats and dogs because we had the space and they just knew we would take them in if they didn't have a home. I wish I had the space now to have more animals but since I dont, it would be an honor to take care of yours. My experience with animals would be having a cat that needed shots daily for diabetes, a blind dog, dog that had seizures, taking care of friends and family's pets. Some which needed daily medicine or had a lot of energy : ). I ppreciate the trust they have in me to take care of their fur family members. Each pet, like humans, have their own personality. About: I graduated in May of 2025 from the Madison Area Technical College Veterinary Technician Program, then passed the VTNE to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. In school we worked with dogs, cats, horses, cows, and lambs. I have had dogs since I was a child, and I currently have 2 dogs and 1 cat. I worked on a farm taking care of horses for about two and a half years from 2020-2022. I've taken care of pets for friends/family for many years as well! I currently work at a vet hospital, though I am out on FMLA. Unfortunately, that means I can only take on pets less than 30 lbs at the moment. If you're looking for someone to take extra care of your pets, please reach out to see if we're a good fit! I'm currently working full time as a certified veterinary technician at a veterinary hospital. I work 40 hours a week with a varying schedule. Generally I work 8 am - 6 pm four days a week (my day off during the week changes each week). I work on Saturday about once per month. My rover clients will be scheduled around that availability. I currently live in an apartment with a cat and will not be able to watch clients' pets in my home. If I am watching pets in the client's home, I will take care of them the way I would take care of mine. I am respectful and conscientious of your personal space and privacy.
“I reached out to Victoria last minute and from the get go communication was great! She updated us with pictures and let us know how well our pups did every visit. This was our first time having a Rover sitter and I will absolutely use Victoria again! I think our pups were secretly upset it was us walking in the door and not her...”

About: My name is Thomas, and my girlfriend's name is Emily. Together we have 8+ years of experience with pet care. Emily grew up on a farm around animals, and I grew up with a dog. We also own a fur baby together and have had her since she was a puppy. She is now 8 years old. Emily is a real estate agent and works from home all day so will be able to tend to your pets whenever they are in need. I am home in the morning, afternoons, and weekends so will be able to help out with overnight stays. We are a cage free home that allows pets on the furniture and bed. We care for pets by taking them on walks throughout the day and ensuring each one is catered to for its individual needs. We would love to watch your furbaby today! Reach out with any questions. I work from home so am able to tend to the dogs anytime they need something. I can care for them in anyway the owner requests. I will take the pets on walks, and make sure they are fed. I will treat them as if they were my own pet and make sure they feel safe and loved while they are in my care.

“Maiah has been taking wonderful care of our two dogs and they love when she comes over to let them out, feed them and cuddle! She is very responsible and communicates promptly. I highly recommend Maiah!”

“This was my first time using Rover for my dog, I was a little nervous about my dog not being cared for by family. But Isabel was so kind and friendly. She sent me messages and pictures of my Oliver when I was away. I was so impressed by this service. I know my dog is a handful but he seemed very happy the whole weekend. I will absolutely recommend Isabel!! I hope she is available to help next time I am out of town. Thank you so much Isabel!!!”

“Ali, is simply the best. She is so sweet, caring, and loving to our Stella. She did a wonderful job and kept us updated with lots of cute messages and pictures. She is a neghibor a few streets down and we did not even know it, but so glad we do now. We can't wait to have her back!!”

About: I've owned cats and dogs my whole life alongside rats, tarantulas, and snakes. Currently I have 3 cats ranging in age from 12years to 3 months. I'm longing for some additional interactions with doggies as I don't get that in my day to day. I'll love yours like they're mine I've recently resigned from my full time job and am looking forward to spending my time caring for animals instead of staring at a screen all day. I will ensure your loved one has water, food, and a clean environment. Their happiness and safety are my #1 priority. I wont just go through the motions, though. I will give them the love and attention in the specific way each pet needs

“This has been our first time ever leaving our dogs home and had someone other than family take care of them. We have two large dogs a German shepherd and a German shepherd mix. Ashley was confident the first time we met her that she could take care of our dogs. She came over and met them multiple times prior to our trip and was so kind. During our trip Ashley communicated with us each day along with photo updates. A storm came through town and dropped some debris on our roof while we were gone and Ashley communicated with us right away and. I can’t say enough good things about Ashley. I would highly recommend her services!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Roscoe. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
