I cared for her through nearly four years of treatment, managing medications, hydration, appetite, weight, and daily routines until she passed away just shy of her 16th birthday. That experience taught me the importance of careful observation, consistency, and recognizing subtle changes in behavior that can indicate something isn't right. I also have experience caring for a Yorkshire Terrier and understand the unique needs of toy breeds, including their size, energy, and safety considerations. Several family members and friends have larger dogs that I take on walks and care for when they're away. Professionally, my background is in consulting and project management, which has made me highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented. I currently offer overnight house sitting, typically from approximately 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m., when many pets appreciate the comfort of having someone with them overnight. During the day, I may have other work or personal commitments depending on the booking, but I always communicate my schedule in advance so expectations are clear. I strive to keep pets on their normal routines for meals, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and companionship while respecting the schedule that works best for each household. I understand how important consistency is for animals, especially seniors or pets with medical needs, and I do my best to minimize disruptions to their daily routine. I am able to pick up your animal and drop them off for an additional fee ($10 / day). When caring for pets in a client's home, my priority is maintaining the environment and routines they already know. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, medications, walks, exercise, household rules, and any special care your pet requires. I take time to build trust with each animal, allowing shy or anxious pets to become comfortable at their own pace. Safety is extremely important to me. I pay close attention during walks, keep doors and gates secure, monitor pets for changes in behavior or health, and never hesitate to contact an owner if I have a question or concern. I also treat every home with the same respect I would expect someone to show mine, keeping it clean, secure, and well cared for during your absence. Communication is a key part of my service. You can expect regular updates and photos so you know how your pets are doing and can have peace of mind while you're away.

About: I used to be on rover with my mom as dog sitters. We had a lot of happy customers many of whom would book with us multiple times. Animals have always had a special place in my heart. About: I have been taking care of animals for roughly 13 years. We always had pets growing up and I did a lot of dog sitting in high school. I grew up on a farm so I have experience taking care of all sorts of different animals I work for a school district so I have fairly short hours during the day and have weekends off. I also have summers off as well as several random days off and full weeks here and there. I work less than half the year so I am very flexible. My house is already pet proofed with locks and baby gates. We have a dog area that is fenced in and has a doggie door connected to our screened in porch that is shaded.

About: Growing up I lived in the country with cows, horses and chickens next door. We always had many cats and dogs because we had the space and they just knew we would take them in if they didn't have a home. I wish I had the space now to have more animals but since I dont, it would be an honor to take care of yours. My experience with animals would be having a cat that needed shots daily for diabetes, a blind dog, dog that had seizures, taking care of friends and family's pets.
