I focus on high-quality, closely supervised care. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my absolute priorities. You will receive frequent updates, photos, and the peace of mind that a veterinary professional is watching over your furry family member! About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs since I was about 10 years old. I have good experience with giving oral medications and giving support to dogs with anxiety or anxiousness. Great with walking dogs with all different sizes and energy levels. I also have great knowledge when it comes to cleaning care for puppies or seniors rather that be in cages or any where within the house. I support rescue services for pets as I have adopted a dog from Tails myself. Lastly I am great at managing multiple dogs at once as I currently have three dogs with my family. I am currently take a CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) class as I am looking to become a nurse in my future. I starting college this year so I’m looking to find a job during this summer. With having CNA class I am available most weekdays and for sure weekends. I have class Tuesdays and Wednesdays being available after 12:30 and have Friday Clinicals at a Nursing home in DeKalb leaving that day majority full. While in my own home or a clients home I always make sure the pet feels like their in a comfortable and safe environment with surroundings and with me. A pets health mentally and physically is really important to me as I make sure they get the right exercise, rest, attention and love they of course deserve. Keeping them with their daily routines and schedule is also very necessary to me when it comes to feedings and water, play inside and outside, rest and walks which are my favorite. Keeping my clients home clean and protected is also something very important to me as it helps the dog be familiar in their safe and comfortable space and also help the owner gain trust and rely on me as much as possible! Updates are a really big thing I offer service to, I am a really great communicator and responsible person so letting them know how their pet is doing and being cared for is very critical.

About: The first time I had to pickup dog poop, I cried; 32 years later, I can scoop poop without shedding a tear. I’ve had dogs and cats since I was 4 years old — I currently have one dog (Walter, 2) and two cats (Diane, 17, and Babycat, 13). Walter LOVES other dogs and wishes I would get him a permanent sibling, but it’s not in the cards just yet, so we’re on Rover to fill the void! I work from home, so Walter’s new best friend/your dog will have my undivided attention and most likely be annoyed with my constant affection in no time! I have a fenced in yard for quick potty breaks & playtime. My dog Walter will be a constant source of entertainment and friendship, while my cats will perch in high places and watch your dog from afar. (Basically, they’ll just… be cats???)

About: When I had roommates, they have a cat who has wobbly cat syndrome (Cerebellar Hypoplasia) which makes him walk a little funny! He can’t go more than two to three steps without falling over, and eating is quite a challenge. Having cared for him has made me really patient and understanding of animals. I recently just left a data entry job, so I have all the time in the world to care for your pets! I love animals more than people so they are going to fit perfectly into my daily routine. I would spend time with your pet as much as you’d like! I love spending time with animals whether that’s playing with them, giving them pets, going on walks or just being next to them giving them company!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I’ve got my first one when I was 5 years old. Throughout the years, I’ve gained a ton of experience taking care of all dogs. As an owner of 3 dogs (2 small. 1 large) I’ve definitely have had my fair share of doggy cuddles, play time, walks, and lots love! I’m currently working part-time, so I have a lot of flexibility within my schedule. I am a student, but because my class schedule is very spread out, I have lots of free time to take care of any furry friends! In your home, I will implement any rules you have for your dog. I will also establish to you dog that I am a trustworthy person as I will slowly introduce myself to your dog to make sure they feel safe with my presence!

About: I have taken care of cats, dogs, lizards (and even hedgehogs for a couple years!) since I was 10 years old. I love all pets and am happy to go out and play or sit and relax, all depending on the pet’s needs. I have administered medication to senior cats, middle-aged to senior dogs, and lizards. I do not mind helping to clean your house if there are any accidents or messes made while I am there! I am looking for a summer job as I have a couple smaller, less frequent opportunities throughout the summer. I am going to do my masters at NIU in the fall, so I will be in the area for a while! I would love to get out and do lots of walks to enjoy the summer weather. I have two cats at home that get played with daily and enjoy relaxing with me at the end of the day. Because my cats will eat anything and everything, I am very aware of what is left out in my house as well as other spaces. I am happy to clean up any messes or accidents made while I am at your home and make sure everything is the same or better than you left it for an overnight stay. I have pet sit for many friends and family and have had no complaints! I will make sure to take pictures of your pet so you know they are happy and safe, it’s what I would want from anyone who takes care of my cats!

Haley was great with all my cats for their drop in visits. She took care of their litter boxes, gave them wet food and attention. She did need a reminder on the night of the last drop in visit booked, but was responsive and apologetic for not stopping by yet that day. She immediately headed over too.

This was our first time using Kara. I have to say, we couldn't have been happier! It's always stressful leaving the "kids" with a new sitter, but Kara was extremely conscientious and was well prepared for her visit. It was such a relief to find that the "kids" were well taken care. Kara also left a detailed note on how things went, which we really appreciated! I would highly recommend using Kara, you will not be disappointed!

Jill did such a fantastic job watching our two kitties and really went above and beyond. She put up with a lot of chaos on our end in the days leading up to the first sitting service (Sadly our dog passed away unexpectedly, then the impending bad weather forced us to delay travel and change dates). She was flexible and understanding. We also came home to a cleaner house. Seriously...Jill tidied up and took out the kitchen garbage! And took our bins to the curb. That was so kind of her, especially since things were tough before our travel with the passing of our dog. We will definitely work with Jill again in the future.

About: I grew up with pets my entire life and have always loved having a furry companion around! I am excited to take care of your best friend while you are away! I currently have two dogs of my own, and have been working on training my new puppy, so I would be happy to continue a training program with your dog while you are away. I enjoy taking the dogs for walks and hikes near Denver, especially around red rocks! I am self employed and have a very flexible schedule to fit all of your pets needs! I can be available days nights and weekends. I have a large fenced yard and a doggy door for my two fur babies. We kennel our puppy when we are away but our senior dog is allowed to do as he wishes. I feel that it is important to always follow all instructions given by the owner as all pets are unique.

Kamron was great! My husband and I were away overnight for a friend's wedding and so we had her do check-ins every few hours. She sent pictures and was great with communicating. She was also great during the meet-n-greet with our dog, which is usually when he goes the most berzerk with meeting a new person! I would definitely book her again.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Sycamore stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sycamore choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Sycamore with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sycamore. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
