“Tessa was amazing with our two hyper dogs! She was patient, kind, and communicative from start to finish. She definitely made us feel comfortable leaving our fur babies for a few days-sending pictures at least once a day! She even washed the bedding and towels before leaving which was so over and above what we ever expected of her. I highly recommend using her for any and all pet needs. We greatly appreciate all she did for us!”

“Christian is the BEST dog caretaker we’ve ever had! She also stayed at our house and took great care of the house as well. She took our dog for a walk 3 x a day, gave her lots of love & cuddles & kept the house clean and did all the trash & washed our dogs bowls, vacuumed & stripped the bed. She is so communicative, professional, responsible and kind! We highly recommend her.”

“Danielle was simply amazing. We received tons of photos and updates throughout the week. She quickly communicated when she had questions and was quick to implement any suggestions. Our girl is so shy and has some trouble on day one adjusting to new sitters- Danielle was so patient and kind with our girl and she was back to her silly, snuggly and fun self in no time! We hope to rebook in the future!”

“We have used Kris several times for both overnight stays and dog walks. She is as reliable as they come, and we know our pup and home are always in great hands when we’re away. Highly recommend!”

“Dakota once again took great care of our Gretzky, who has lots of dietary and medication needs. We will absolutely be using Dakota from here on out!”
“Bertie and Lissette's family were amazing! They took great care of my puppy and were very responsive and easy to communicate with. I will definitely contact them again the next time I am in Charlottesville.”

“James is amazing with our 17 year old senior dog and young dog that needs a lot of exercise and potty breaks! Our time away is so much more enjoyable knowing he is taking such great care of the dogs.”

“Tracy was an incredible house sitter! She took great care of our pup, left our home excellent condition, and was regularly in contact with us throughout our time away. I can't recommend her enough and we are certain to contact her again when we need someone to look after our dog.”

“Caring, thoughtful, dependable, and responsible. Charlotte did a wonderful job caring for Bessie and my home while I was away. Great daily communication. And she left the place nice and clean. I really appreciated her willingness to arrive very early in the morning and stay til late at night to accommodate my flight schedule. Definitely looking forward to having Charlotte take care of Bessie again soon, thank you!”

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my extensive experience handling high-responsibility care, complex routines, and multi-pet households. I grew up fostering kittens, have my own beloved animals at home, and have been trusted to manage up to 6 animals simultaneously, so I am incredibly comfortable maintaining a calm, structured environment even with a full house. Beyond standard dog walking, feeding, and playtime, I am highly experienced in administering special medications and following precise care plans. For your absolute peace of mind, I hold active EMT and CPR certifications. This background means I possess sharp attention to detail, strong situational awareness, and the ability to remain completely calm and capable in any emergency. Whether your pet is a high-energy pup who needs lots of exercise or a senior pet requiring careful medical monitoring, I am dedicated to providing a safe, reliable, and loving experience. I am currently on summer break from my pre-medical neuroscience track at UVA, where I'm working part-time as an EMT and interning. My ultimate goal is to become a pediatric oncologist, but right now, I am looking for a rewarding side hustle because I deeply miss having regular connections with animals! Because my summer schedule is highly structured and predictable, I can easily integrate dedicated pet care into my daily routine. I have wide-open availability for boarding and housesitting on weekends, and plenty of open blocks during the weekday to focus entirely on keeping your pets happy, exercised, and loved. I offer pet care and dog walking exclusively within the comfort and familiarity of the client's home or neighborhood, which I find keeps pets relaxed and stress-free. When house-sitting, my top priorities are safety, strict adherence to your routine, and maintaining the utmost respect for your home. Because of my background in emergency services, I am naturally highly observant and detail-oriented. I treat your home with the same care and respect that I would my own—ensuring doors are locked, security systems are set, and potential hazards are entirely out of reach before I head out. For walking clients, I always double-check harnesses, use secure leashes, and maintain constant situational awareness of our surroundings. I strictly follow your rules regarding feeding schedules, medication administration, and boundaries, keeping you updated with pictures and texts so you always have total peace of mind.
“Always on time and ready to play! Nathan treats our active fur babies as his own! We never have to worry when Nathan is on the job! He is fine juggling 2 pups with different temperament’s/ keeping them safe and happy!”

“Mackenzie is really responsible and trustworthy, detail oriented with following instructions and my puppy’s care and has a great attitude when things shift last minute— loved her stay and thankful for her exceptional help!”

“My fiancée and I feel like we’ve hit the jackpot after adding Abi to our lives! She came to our home before our trip to meet us and our girls, ask plenty of questions, and see how the dogs responded to her presence. She is warm and patient, and even our super anxious/epileptic dog took to her quickly (a rare occurrence). She was meticulous in reviewing our care instructions for our needy crew (two dogs on several meds). She texted us pictures while we were away, asked follow up questions, and truly put our minds at ease seeing how much she cared for our girls. We can’t thank her enough for the ways she impressed us, and hope to have her return soon!”

“Zach took wonderful care of our home and dog while we were out of town. Harlow was spoiled with so many snuggles and quality time. We hope to have him stay again in the future. Thank you, Zach!”

Fry Springs pet parents share their Rover experiences
I can't recommend Tracy enough! We haven't left our 11 year old dog with a sitter for at least 5 years, and were nervous he would be stressed out and have no fun while we were gone. Tracy was absolutely fabulous with him and gave him the VIP treatment that he doesn't normally get when he's home with his family! She took him on so many walks, gave him lots of treats, and truly got to know him and love him. Our home was spotless when we returned, as well, which was such a gift. I think he misses Tracy already and we will have to keep them connected!

Caring, thoughtful, dependable, and responsible. Charlotte did a wonderful job caring for Bessie and my home while I was away. Great daily communication. And she left the place nice and clean. I really appreciated her willingness to arrive very early in the morning and stay til late at night to accommodate my flight schedule. James went above and beyond when he housesat for my foster dog, Alfalfa. Alfie was initially afraid of someone new in the house. James was patient and encouraging and Alfie rewarded him by sitting in his lap! James took Alfie on long walks and didn't miss a meal or medication. The house was clean and orderly when I returned and Alfie was content. I couldn't be happier with James' services.

With Hennessey I had every confidence my kitties and home were in good hands -- and I relaxed and had a great trip. Hennessey communicates very well, asks good questions, and seems to genuinely enjoy the little ones. During her stay she let me know when there was a minor kitty health concern. I came home to a beautifully clean house --- really helpful with jet lag. I would be happy to have her back another time.

La Trice was absolutely amazing from our very first meeting. Our newly adopted little beagle immediately took to her- which speaks volumes, as he is very wary of "strangers." She exudes kindness, compassion and clearly has a deep, intuitive understanding of animals. She is super responsive, kept us updated, cared lovingly for our animals and left our house in pristine condition. Our dogs were so calm and happy when we retuned home. What a gift!! We feel so blessed to have found her!!

Rachael is amazing! She was really thoughtful about knowing each of our pets (1.5 year old dog and 4 year old cat) personalities and taking such good care of them. Rachael was incredible about playing with them and having fun. She was also extremely thoughtful about the care of our home and tending to our pets routines and helping them feel at ease while we were away. We are so grateful for her!
