About: Hey y’all! I have taken care of pets, specifically dogs, for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Louisiana with 2 dachshunds in my family home. One of them had diabetes, so I am experienced with giving shots and oral medication. In addition to taking care of the weenie dogs, I had a pet hedgehog and chameleon in high school. I truly love animals of all kinds. I grew up walking and dog sitting for family friends and neighbors. In high school, I was an involved volunteer at my local humane society. When I was in college, I ended up rescuing a dog from that shelter. My parents took him in since I lived in a college dormitory. After I graduated college, I couldn’t wait to get my own dog! Here in Charlottesville, I have 1 dog now, Pretzel, who is a small lab mix. He is also a rescue, and is my world! I can’t wait to meet, walk, and watch your pets! I have a non-traditional work schedule that is unpredictable but also flexible. I go into work most week days, or sometimes work from home. My hours can vary, but I always make time to walk my dog Pretzel multiple times a day with trips to the dog park when I can. I am available on the weekends. In my home, Pretzel roams free. I do not kennel him, as he is potty trained. I want Pretzel to be able to roam around as he pleases. Pretzel sleeps with me every night.

About: Not only did I grow up with 2-3 dogs in the house, but my mom has worked for a dog rescue the last 10 years. My family has fostered more than 100 dogs ranging from newborn puppies to end of life care for senior dogs. I have helped with everything from feeding, cleaning, creating enrichment, and exercising dogs of all sizes and ages. So grateful to Cory for helping me out last minute and with great care and generosity go Gizmo’s never ending desire to play and play some more .
