“Im so glad I found Bertie and Lisette! They were gracious enough to accommodate my last-minute request and they are clearly pros at this. They were cognizant of keeping paws off the sidewalk in this heat and asked all the important questions. I’m always worried my pup will be sad the whole time I’m gone but her pups and their attentive care kept him smiling. I was so grateful to receive photos and videos while away too. Overall a great experience and I will definitely be back.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, from small breeds to large, so I’m comfortable caring for pups of all sizes and personalities. I currently have an 11-month-old black Lab that I adopted from the Charlottesville SPCA, and together we’ve completed puppy training and loose-leash walking. My experience with training, combined with my lifelong love for dogs, means I’m patient, attentive, and ready to meet your pet’s needs. I have a flexible schedule, so I can easily work around your routine to provide reliable, personalized care for your pup! I’m currently working part time, so I have lots of extra time in my schedule to give your pup the love and attention they need! Again, my work schedule is pretty flexible, so I can find times throughout the day/week/weekend that work the best for you! In my home I have an extremely friendly and energetic 11 month old black lab, who would love to be your dog’s play mate. I also have a size large crate available if that is something your dog requires. Normally, my dog and I go out for 3 or 4 30ish minute walks a day, accompanied by lots of fetch and tug, and on weekends love going on longer hikes!

About: I am a social person. I’ll work hard and take good care of your dog. I have a dog back home. I love dogs a lot. I’m free all day Friday-Sunday. I’m a former football player so I know that I’ll be dedicated to giving your dog the best care. I truly love dogs. We have a playground for the dog here at my apartment. They have treats everywhere for pets and I believe this is a great space for a dog to be.

About: I’ve taken care of many animals in my life and I will continue to take care of animals for as long as I live. Getting to see dogs and cats every day has always been a joy but it’s been even better knowing I take care of people’s pets, knowing that people trust me with their furry friends is an honor. I’ve been in many different kinds of environments with dogs and cats outside of dog sitting. I have worked as a kennel assistant in two different vets, and realized that the veterinary field wasn’t the field I wanted to go down, I’ve worked in a doggy daycare where I go to play with dogs and see the looks on dogs faces when their owner picked up, I now work as a dog bather and have goals to become a dog groomer in the future. I will always have dog sitting open and available for years to come. Working with animals is so rewarding and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. I currently am not working any jobs at the moment but I am a college student. My hours are much more flexible than they were in high school. I have class on Mondays and Wednesdays, and I also have band practice every day from 6-7:30. My weekends are free unless I have a game on Saturday or if I plan to go home on a weekend. We have a double harness leash for both of our dogs and we take them on daily walks. We do live in a townhome so we don’t have a fence but we do take them out and if you have a fence I will definitely be sure to give your furry friend the exercise they need!

About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. We don’t have any pets of our own but my three kids (ages 4, 5 & 6) are very active and will play all day with your pet. My sister is a vet at Dominion Animal Hospital so I have immediate access to professional help if needed!
